Okay.. I must interject... Mind you, I base this all on what I've learned musically through the years... AJ has a voice, but Nick Carter is painful to listen to -- his nasal voice is often just under pitch and really annoying to anyone with a good ear or musical training. (BTW - I think you mean Nick Lachey from 98... Nick Carter is from BSB and he's pretty horrid... AJ is from BSB, not N*Sync... Joey you had right.) As far as most talented on N*Sync, dancing-wise I'd have to give it to Justin... vocally Justin's just a bit nasal (not as bad as Nick), and JC isn't bad. Britney I give credit to for her performing and dance skills (and she bought herself a nice set of knockers... lol), but vocally she's rather bad. Christina on the other hand has great vocal ability and potential. Above all however, I think these people (however corny you may perceive them to be) deserve some miniscule amount of credit. They bust their asses up on stage almost every night, do a lot of rehearsal and whatnot... they do get a lot, but they also put a lot into it. Also remember exactly what they are -- I doubt these groups have much "staying power".. they're just dorky, good-time teeny-bopper music... nothing to be too frustrated about... just a flash in the pan. I think it all has to do with the person... there are many chickies who are just as insatiable as the guys you speak of... generally, I think it's true that guys are less selective when they're trying to sow oaths and gather experiences (mostly in their younger years) and they become more selective as life wears on... but like I said, it takes all kinds... I used to have a similar problem... Have you just sat down with one parent and just rationally spoken with him/her? Don't whine -- don't say "but my friends are allowed"... that will just add fuel to the fire. Just approach as an adult -- ask why your parents feel the way they do. The best you can do is reassure them that you are indeed mature and responsible. They'll learn that you're not 12 years old in time... But remember that having a home and family that cares about you is a hell of a lot more important at thie point in your life than a few nights of great music... Personally, I love vocals and being able to sing along is fun... but I have to agree with just about everyone who has replied -- all good things in moderation.
