1. Miss Kittie, You are correct about the childhood perspective... the awful pain of living is such an existential drama of illusion. Remember that you are infinite and that all of this is basically a game. Really! I'm sure that by now you're feeling better anyway. "All you need is Love." -Lennon ------------------ existence precedes essence
2. I was born in the Heights but we didn't live there very long, so I guess I don't have any real Brooklyn in me. But I go there a lot, if that means anything. Up with b'klyn!... ------------------ existence precedes essence
3. yay! S + D! Even though I don't much like Twilo, I LOOOOVE going to s&d.... BTW There is no guest list at Twilo for their S&D nights ( according to their website anyway ). Can't wait for friday!!! ------------------ existence precedes essence
4. Fortunately, I live in such a substance friendly home that no codes or hiding is necessary... but i really like "erin" and "sharon" - very cute! and "tickets" seems so appropriate. I just might adopt them! ------------------ existence precedes essence
5. Have you ever considered working less? I don't know, perhaps you have mad obligations or you love your work, but I think that most people can live pretty well on less labor. I am currently taking a masters degree (part-time, naturally) and I work at a nonprofit about twenty-four hours per week. I'm not able to save much, sure but trust me- it's MARVELOUS. I go out to play almost every night and almost always have slow, lazy hours in which to meditate, daydream, walk, read, listen to music, learn new things, make new friends, etc.. If it's at all possible for you to do so without becoming poverty-stricken or homeless or something, try negotiating for a lighter workload! Don't live to work. Work (a little)to live! And another thing, you shouldn't talk yourself into guilt for having a good time at your age. Just because a lot of your peers are miserable and boring doesn't mean that you need be as well! ------------------ existence precedes essence
6. Oooooh! The decadence! It all sounds very exciting to me. I was a mere lad when all of this was goin' down, but i do have to agree with the eewww factor as well. But ya' never know, if they cleaned the room between uses, it could be gloriously kinky to be fucking away and be looking down on the hordes of dancing bodies below in the main room. Hmm, well if I ever open my own place. . . ------------------ existence precedes essence
7. Count me in with the foreplayers... Touching and expressing closeness is REALLLY fine on MDMA but straight-ahead sex seems almost like a chore for me when on a good roll. Sex on 3 grams of dried shrooms! Or even just good old ganja! Or both!!! E is better in the clubs- dancing one's ass off. ------------------ existence precedes essence
8. Mmmmm, cannabis. Lovely plant... I'm wearing some right now! Seriously though, WSP is under constant police surveillance now- don't go there to ask for any drugs! A few years ago it was a regular market wasn't it? Those were the days... I get mine from a lovely pizza delivery service and it is the bomb. Dank, smelly, gets ya all silly in no time. I think I'll go have some right now... ------------------ existence precedes essence
9. I have taken a couple of cabs from NY to my apartment in P'tonNJ for around $80 and you spent 70 from Woodside??? Quoi? Was that meter fixed or what? ------------------ existence precedes essence
10. Aren't we all just craving ecstatic transcendent unions with others? ------------------ existence precedes essence
11. when i was 19, a sophomore in college, i danced at a male strip club in west hollywood, ca. I had made my rent and major living expenses for a whole year after the first month of four nights/week. easy and fun and quite an ego trip to have all of these men and women drooling. very very nice to have sooo much easy cash, unfortunately a lot of it evaporated into expensive drugs and trips to hawaii. Oh well, suppose i could try it again out here. Can anyone experienced recommend a clean nice place in NY/NJ? ------------------ existence precedes essence
12. masturbation, si! ______________ But sometimes I like to lay off the beat for a week or more just to alter my perceptions. and possibly experience a nocturnal emission which always seems to be accompanied by the most enjoyable dreamtime ;^) ______________ What's more, I don't think that a regular diet of sex could ever completely quench my insatiability. I have found that even when I'm gettin it so frequently that it hurts i still 'walk the dog' when i can find the time, which isn't hard. The only problem is needing all that post-orgasmic sleep! ------------------ existence precedes essence
13. i've always had been attracted to lots of south asian women and men. Not to any point of exclusivity, but i really have bee with many awesome indians. But of course what really matters is a person's totality of being: intelligent, sexy, sensitive, wild, and on and on ------------------ existence precedes essence
14. I'd rather be watched by the NY mafia(s) than by any of Giuliani's police thugs! After all, it's just a business, and we do like our e. . . well, i know i do. Russian mob, though, huh? That sounds kinda creepy! ------------------ "There is no beginning and no end, only the infinite passion of life." -Federico Fellini
15. It played at many places about the northeast here for a couple of months. I saw it, enjoyed it. You didn't miss much though, not a singularly important piece of cinema, just good. and honest as a portrayal of rave culture! which was also nice. The soundtrack included Orbital's Halcyon and on which is one of my fav electronic dance pieces! I'm sure it will come out on video in a few months. SF has probably got a couple fine film rental spots which carry the non-Hollywood releases. You could also check out Kim's in NYC and Facets in Chicago which both do mail order renting. ------------------ "There is no beginning and no end, only the infinite passion of life." -Federico Fellini
16. I'm 23 and I feel like a child.... but it's a fantasy / lie to myself. YET- Anyone young enough to be alive is young enough to boogie down. In fact, I think it's absolutely essential! I think that if I took a lot more drugs I might get worn down sooner. But I only roll a couple of time per year and keep everything else to a similar modest level. It is human and (ithink) universal to celebrate existence, joy, friendship. and what the hell, we live in the greatest city on earth (well, i live down the highway from it!)! ------------------ "There is no beginning and no end, only the infinite passion of life." -Federico Fellini
17. A creature that is sorely missing in the NYC area is a doorman with a knack for knowing who doesn't belong and will wreck the vibe inside. this can be carried to an unpleasant extreme of exclusivity but nyc clubs are way too money hungry, i guess, and will generally take anyone. i think that's bad. don't forget decor!! Not nearly as essential as your great DJ but a beautiful interior sure makes for a sweet place! ------------------ "There is no beginning and no end, only the infinite passion of life." -Federico Fellini
18. the south should be allowed to secede now! i spend one month per year in charleston , sc working at a music festival there and the only reason i find it tolerable is that every single person working with me in performance or production is from the north! Actually there are some great people living there but it just boggles the mind how fabulously bigoted and dumb some of them are. Of course we've certainly got our share of losers up here, just take a look at the flame wars here tonight on the boards against some of you guys who have lived online here longer than i have. But anyway, the pizza story made me laugh... never try to get pizza or bagels in most of the usa! ------------------ "There is no beginning and no end, only the infinite passion of life." -Federico Fellini
19. woops, there went some more off topic rambling. (?) Maybe we need a political clubplanet board! j/k it would probably become the solitary domain of radical quacks like me! Good night... I'm going out to play now, no classes tomorrow!!!! woohoo! nader/laduke all the way baby! ------------------ "There is no beginning and no end, only the infinite passion of life." -Federico Fellini
20. Quite seriously, I'm in favor of much higher petrol prices. 4 or 5 would be excellent. 10 would be even better! And let's stop subsidizing the auto industry with public dollars. How about sensible urban development combined with massive public transit. Just a utopian vision of mine, that's all. N.B.- i'm a driver, too. just one who feels pangs of guilt upon each cheap fillup. ------------------ "There is no beginning and no end, only the infinite passion of life." -Federico Fellini
21. This might sound exceedingly weird to some but i actually LOVE driving in the NY/NJ/PA area that is my new home as of this summer. They may not be pretty but I love the turnpike, parkway, rt.1, metro area bridges (actually *those* are pretty) and whenever I take a long road trip, I rejoice when I see fellow NJ or NY plates on a speeding car next to me in Illinois or South Carolina or something like that. I think the northeast kicks the rest of the country's collective ass and driving here is just one part of that big butt kicking. How's that for some NJ jingoism? ------------------ "There is no beginning and no end, only the infinite passion of life." -Federico Fellini
22. Interested... ian1977{absofuckinlootlynospam}atearthlinkdotnet
23. This soooooo ridiculous. And too bad that these assholes have replaced any meaningful conversation about partying, personal lives and adventures with their hateful and ugly banter. I propose that these fuckups get the cold shoulder now and forever when they are here. What's the worst that they can do? They don't care about our derision and dislike for them. Let's not grace any one of their unnattractive comments with the glory of a reply or any sign of recognition at all. Maybe they'll go back to stealing lunch money on the playground. ------------------ "There is no beginning and no end, only the infinite passion of life." -Federico Fellini
24. All of that having been rambled, I'm voting for Nader!!!
