1. Saturday was definitely a great time. Transit was slow but the music was good, but since the crowd was so thin it was time to move onto bigger and better things, namely Crobar. The music was great, there was so much energy coming from the DJ's that you couldn't stop dancing. Ya, the heat was pretty intense, but it's worth it to hear the beats. To everyone who was there on Saturday, I wanted to thank you all for showing my friend a great time. It was her first time in Chicago and she loved it. She said she's definitely coming back soon. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
2. That sounds good to me. Check you PM when you get a chance. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
3. I allready had a piece of that ass... Ya right. I would love a piece of that ass ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
4. Everyone knows that virtually every single male is turned on by naked pictures of women in either sexy poses or hardcore porn. I was curious if women are turned on by naked pictures of men or hardcore pictures. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
5. Allright gang, let's get this together. I met you all four or five weeks ago and it was a blast. I think it's due time to try and get everyone together again. Plus, a lot of you have either disappeared on the board or you're just sitting back and keeping quiet... angryprincess, scratchapella, BirdJ, and anyone else for that matter. Let's make this one work. For those who are out in the burbs and feel like it, some us will be meeting up at BoucyBoy's place before hand for a little pre-partying. So far here's the preliminary plan. Start with Tranist, we can all get on the guestlist by e-mailing kelly@transit-usa.com. If people are still up for it we'll close the night out at Crobar by going on the late night guestlist at dj1psycho@aol.com. So who's up for it, let's get some voices here. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead." 6. I'm up for that. Maybe we should start a meet-up thread? ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
7. Those are insane. Kind of cool but I get plenty high off a nice simple J. Much easier too. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
8. Three weeks ago... and I've only been wanting it again for about... 3 weeks. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
9. This is a good topic and it's times like these that I wish I could articulate my thoughts better, but here's what i got. You can sort of compare the club scene with the boom of the alternative rock scene. It was given the title "alternative" due to the fact that it was a different style that was only popular amonst a specific crowd. Well, that trend began to catch on and it was no longer alternative, it was mainstream and popular to be the "alternative". Did people or bands sell out? No way. That's the nature of a new style, be it music, art, clothes, and anything else. There's a cycle to all things. Something new is created, it catches on, and if it happens to appeal to the masses then it will become known to the masses. Eventually something else will come along, another new and creative style. If something is good then you can't hold it back, and if you do keep it from everyone else, then what's the point of creating it? So, no, I don't think Oakenfold has sold out, I'm gratefull that I've had the opportunity to hear his talents. It opened the door to a new style of music, from which I have ventured out and found dozens of other new talents and leaves many more to be explored. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."

11. Oh man, that made me laugh. The thirty second thing sounds about right though. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
12. I might have to agree with Tranceaction on that last statement. I'm still the Newbie around here though so I'll go for whatever and I'm sure my friend will too. I have to admit though, Transit was a great place. Just like Bouncy said, good space, excellent sounds, and better lighting. Hopefully we can get most everyone to agree on one place and head wherever that may be. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead." 13. There are other posts on this board about this exact question. I think if you go to the bottom of page one of the chicago board you'll see a topic called New In Town by someone called Chillin. You'll get a lot of info off that one, and I think there are a couple more topics that you can get more off of. Check those out, if they don't help just come back here and ask again. I'm kind of new in town myself so I don't really have much of an answer but I'm pretty sure those posts will help. take it easy and maybe we'll see ya out. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
14. That's odd, I was just thinking the same thing. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
15. Hell ya, B's got that right. She said she's in the mood to dance so let's go dance. I still haven't been to Crobar and I noticed Diesel wants to head there on Saturday. I'd be up for that, or anything else for that matter. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
16. WAAAAA!!! Sorry, just had to get that out, I feel much better now. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
17. Emotionally, definitely. To have that close bond with one person is undecribeable, they can be your best friend as well as your significat other. Sex is only a temporary form of gratification, emotional can last so much longer and be so much more rewarding. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
18. Here's the little bit of info I've got. There's an afterhours called Rise that's right in the city. Here's the webpage http://www.skymedia.com/rise/ You can get info from there. You'll read there is a catch to this thing, the only way in is to be a member or be sponsored by one. If you go to www.soundfactoryboston.com and right an e-mail to DJ Manolo he might be able to help you out. He's the resident DJ at Avalon and he helps people out in any way possible. I know this may all sound kind of complicated but this is the only afterhours that I know of right now. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
19. Sinergy, You took the word right out of my mouth. Age has nothing to do with drinking and driving. Just like sinergy said, the percentage of people over 21 drinking and driving far exceeds those that are under 21. Don't hate the Bush daughters or those that feel bad for them, me being one of them, just hate the drunk drivers. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
20. You might have allready read this but I'm curious what your opinion on it might be, especially you B2B, since you've been there so many times. The sun is setting on the British clubbing experience in IBIZA, with the Spanish authorities fed up with the island's image as a playground for rowdy Brits. Spain's tourist board has decided that, after a decade of the debauched UK clubbing featured in TV documentaries like 'Ibiza Uncovered', the island must clean up its image. They want the island to appeal to families and a smarter, international clubbing set. Ibiza's clubbing season is due to start this weekend. But NME.COM can reveal that the British clubber may soon be forced to holiday at other dance music resorts, such as Ayia Nappa, if they want to continue clubbing in the rowdy way which they are famous for. Juan Medrano, manager at Ibiza's Privilege club, told NME.COM: "It's going to be a good year but there will be maybe 20 per cent less people. We are hoping to attract quite an international crowd, more Germans and Italians. British clubbers do still behave like hooligans." Three years ago, British clubbers were described as "out-of-control degenerates" by the British Vice Consul on Ibiza, 51-year-old Michael Birkett, who resigned in disgust at their behaviour. A new eco tax has been introduced, forcing local businesses to push prices up which will hit British clubbers who are on a budget, while police are clamping down on drugs. Latest figures showed a 689 per cent increase in arrests for Ecstasy. A spokesperson at the tourist office on Ibiza told NME.COM: "We are working with the Spanish Tourist Office in London. We will try to change things, but the British tourists must change too. They have to behave if they want to stay here." A spokeswoman at the tourist department of the Spanish Embassy in London confirmed: "There is a new promotion to say Ibiza is not just for clubbers but is about traditions and culture." For the full story, see this week's NME, out now in London, and tomorrow nationwide (May 30). ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
21. When I put the techno/trance/house etc asside I usually move on to a lot of hardcore. Non-point Linkin Park Tool Perfect Circle Stabbing Westward Once in awhile I'll peruse the CD collection and throw in something that I haven't heard for some time.. Sarah McLachlan, Dark City Soundtrack, Pump up the Volume Soundtrack, or Hackers Soundtrack. I love soundtracks becuase they tend to follow one mood because of the movie, but they offer a variety of artists. ------------------ "Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."
22. yes I was, and then you all wanted to go to bed!!! Kick me out of the house at 4:00 AM, how cruel!!! I guess I'll need to find some real party poeple elsewhere. j/k ------------------ "I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the community... and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for a moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations." -- George Bernard Shaw, Irish Playwright (Energize)
23. But kudos to you Bouncy Boy, you've kept it going strong the whole way through. While the rest of us may lag behind you're there in the front making us all look bad. I want to be just like you. I'll do my best.
24. I ask the same question as sinergygrl... What are yellows? ------------------ "I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the community... and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. 25. 5-HTP's?? Can someone tell me what this is? I have to agree with Island, it seems more often than not that I get a small cold shortly after rolling.
