As I stated yesterday, I have very mixed emotions regarding the death penalty and how our government decides who should die and how. I used to be a huge advocate of the death penalty, however as I have gotten older my feelings have changed considerably. Additionally, we all know that TMcVeigh commited this horrible crime and he states it is because he is a Gulf War Veteran and the government sucks, etc... However what else caused this and who else did he work with??? Those answers died yesterday with that man. I also believe that he got off way to easy, as do all people who are allowed to be executed... Wouldn't it be better, if they had to live with what they did, with other prisoners for the rest of their lives? Tim McVeigh got exaclty what he wanted and the American public bought it hook, line, and sinker.... ------------------ Life can only be understood backward, but it must be lived forward.

Cancer is such a terrible thing. My uncle was diagnosed with cancer last October. They told the entire family he only had days to live... He went home, takes his medication, has done some not so normal things he found over the internet, and low and behold he is in remission... He still has his bad days, however he is still with us. Well I am working from home today and the coverage over his execution is everywhere. They are interviewing survivors, they are interviewing family members, they have interviewed the DA who tried the case, and TMcVeigh's attorneys.... All I feel is sad. Sad that he felt the need to blow up a building a few minutes past 9:00 a.m. and kill that many people, sad that all of those people were injured or died, sad that for the rest of his families lives they live with the fact their child committed the worst act of terriosim ever on American soil.... The saddest thing is that people hate that much that they feel the need to hurt those that have done nothing to them... What did he expect to accomplish by harming these people. Yep, once!!! I had a good time.... I was on my way into Dallas and when the pilot said, we are beginning out intial decent into DFW airport, I popped a pill.... By the time we landed, got to the gate, I grabbed my shit and I came off that plane full of life... My friends were like WTF...... It was fun, however not something I would want to do all the time.... Still a good time. I used to be a huge advocate of the death penalty. I believed that if you murdered someone and it was not self defense, than you deserved to be executed. Well as I have gotten older, my views have begun to change. Since we live in a country were our judicial system is such a mess and you are not always given a fair trial, it concerns me that someone may be executed for a crime that they did not commit. However in the case of McVeigh he admitted that he was responsible for the bombing and that he acted aloneg.... Did he? We will never know, cause with his execution the truth died with him....... Plus he got off so easy this way! Many of his victims, lived thru the bombing only to die a slow death, because people could not reach them..... Maybe sitting in his cell each and everyday until he died of natural causes, would have been the best punishsment that could have been given... Just my Monday morning $.02..... I got mine done about 6 weeks ago. I had wanted it for about five years. It did not hurt at all when he pierced the belly, however it has been challenge getting it to heal. I have been using bactine on mine, cause I can carry that around in my bag.... I LOVE IT!!!! I am so glad that I got it done. For me a long term commitment is so serious and will be the end of (can I say) an era.
