i've heard hella since 1995, when i came to southern california, but that was my first introduction to it. perhaps i heard it that long ago because it was when i went to college, and there were some northern californians there.

if a co-worker is consistently slacking off and not doing his/her share, leaving you with more work than you can handle, it's perfectly justified to have a conversation with him/her about it. sometimes the person might not even realize that s/he was doing it, and will start doing his/her part. tune in tomorrow.

this is soooooooooo not too early to be thinking about halloween!!! i always have my costume decided on by june, at least! monster massive is an annual, and even though it's got some young'uns (younger than you) there, it's a KICKASS party. the vibe is incredible, you see some great costumes, and you can't beat this year's lineup . i'll be there .

one shouldn't hesitate to call one's physician if one feels sick. many people feel that they don't want to bother their doctors because they're busy, or will listen to a receptionist on the phone give a standard "s/he's booked up for the day." a doctor's job is to help sick people AND to keep them healthy, and it's his/her job to take care of all his/her patients. there are always a few extra minutes for him/her to squeeze in an extra person - with a pressing issue - between a couple of routine checkups. tune in tomorrow.

one should pay parking and moving violation tickets promptly. fines will increase, and "the man" will not drop the issue, even if you change states. even if the ticket is for something that seems incredibly stupid - like jaywalking - the law holds all the cards, and when the fines get into hundreds of dollars, a warrant for one's ass may be in the works ... tune in tomorrow.
