  1. Ok, but in all honesty it still looks terrible like almost every Vette since the 60's when they made the last good looking Vette.
  2. I'm confused, I thought XL was doing a hip hop/reggaeton/old school house format? What music are they playing?
  3. It doesn't matter, fake, not fake. All you have to do is look at the scene for little while and you will come to realize that skills do not at all matter anymore. The only thing that matters is celebrity and numbers. Be a celebrity and you will get booked. If you can get people to show up and you are playing polka music, the club owners will book you. That's all they and the promoters care about, numbers, heads showing up. At this point promoters basically control the whole thing. The owners are basically lazy and don't want to, or don't know how to do the work of promotion. They hand it over to the promoters who book by basically using the people that suck up to them or have some sort of celebrity status. Just look at all the porn stars and centerfolds that get booked at clubs. What does a porn star or centerfold have to do with music? So why do they get booked? For what? So people can go and see the porn star and say: "I saw a porn star in person" or " They're not all that" or "I got an autographed picture" It's like the old time freakshows. People want to and gawk at the freak. On most levels that is what the scene is about now. Just forget the idea that the ability to mix and program a night of music means anything anymore. It hasn't mattered for a long time and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

  8. Awesome! That's one car we can all hope makes it to production. Now just make sure they put the Hemi in it!
  9. Did you read what I said? I have all respect for the people, import, ricer, domestic, gearheads who take the time to mod their cars in a way that is not half assed or cheesy. Like I said don't just slap some shit on. I'll give you an example. Some clown brought his '04 GTO to a car show and got a trophy just because he slapped on a cold air intake with an isloation box. There were many other cars at that show that should have a trophy before that guy. I was not in the show, just went to see what other people had done to their cars and get some new ideas. So as you can see I am not just picking on the ricers. As for the cars above that color changing paint thing has to go, but the other one looks pretty good.
  10. Sure - GTO's (I have owned four of them a 68, 70, 72 and a 2nd 68.), Firebirds, Cuda's, as well as others. The reason I talk about Panteras is that as a sports car it is hard to beat the overall package: Mid-engine, timeless styling, a powerplant that can easily be upgraded to insane power levels, 4 wheel independant suspension, and it is a simple car (No computers or emissions controls to deal with) that you can work on yourself. In fact I would even say that it was the ricers that influenced my decision in getting my Pantera. After seeing all the bad body kits, bling rims, and cheesy interior mods and looking at the issues of having to keep a newer car compliant the decision was easy. Add to this the fact that a newer car would not increase in value in any significant way the decision was doubly easy. Why do so many peeps think that throwing on some rims and a body kit have anything to do with real hot rodding? Look I do respect the guys who dig into their rides and do some real work. What do I mean by that? Stroke the motor, select a cam package, port the heads. Don't just slap stuff on and think you have accomplished something.
  11. God Help Us! Try moving forward musically, not backwards for God's Sake!
  12. Have you tried "Ricers R Us" ? LOL Signed: #5813 1973 DeTomaso Euro-Spec Pantera GTS Currently 330 RWHP, Going to 600+ in the Fall.

  14. Best DJ In NJ: Rydell! 2nd Best: Me
  15. Uranus has klingons, clean that shit up!
  16. WRONG! I see those, quote "younger crowd" driving Beemers, mercs and other big dollar machines all the time. Pontiac alienated the customer base for the GTO when they failed to include any of the iconic elements of the GTO's from the past. It has been a styling and marketing failure of very large proportions. You can stiil find lots of 04 GTO's on dealers lots as we speak.
  17. What kind of music is DJ Am planning on playing?
  18. You said it! Pontiac left out everything that was iconic about the GTO. Even when rabid GTO fans told them what they wanted (Real Ram Air cold air induction, hood scoops, real dual exhaust) they ignored us. I used to own GTO's. I had over the years 2 different 68's, a 70, and a 72 GTO. When it came time to look for a sports car I looked at the GTO, but without the things that made it an icon it was just another jelly bean car. Ford on the other hand got it right with the Mustang. They made sure both interior and exterior reminded people of the Mustang's glory years, 67-70, and updated those accents for the new millenium. If Pontiac had gotten it right I would have bought the GTO. I bought a Pantera instead
