  1. I think pretty safe bet to dress trendy. I was in Crobar only once on Yahel but it seems it is more of a club attire more than anything else.
  2. Yeah and on top of it we get Cosmic Gate, Rank 1 and Cor Fijneman...Now this is more like it!!!!
  3. This is by far one of the best monthly line ups NYC has seen in a while. But dammit CHANGE THE DARN SYSTEM When I went to see Marco V I literally had to slam my head into the speaker in order to hear the highs. Remember THESE ARE TRANCE djs. And the best at it. Something needs to be done about the place and the management/promoters need to listen. Upgrade/fine tune the system. It is a key to a wonderful time.
  4. Dude! Whats so special about that weekend. These people are there year in and year out!!! Pick up a copy of December 2003 Mixmag and read up on the upcoming djs. If those were the ones on Essential Mix than it would be a weekend. All the djs identified are great and talented...but alas played out.
  5. Well Green Velvet and Bad Boy Bill should solve that problem
  6. Thanks to all responding. I thought that Ronin was the only one. I have to disagree thouhg just because it was MP it was packed. Hawtin night with Josh Wink was packed as well. Is he spinning using decks as a trance dj? Thas not my call. I didnt see it or hear it. I am not that professional of a dj. All I know the set was good. And although I would prefer a night of Schranz well we would have to settle for that for now. NYC always has been dominated by house. Techno was and still is underground. I wasnt here for the rave scene rise. I caught the end of it but still manage to catch something beautiful. But I really enjoy techno in a club. There is something about it. You know Ibiza's Cocoon parties are already legendary and let me tell you something, it is something out of a freaky yet beautiful atmosphere. WE NEED MORE ENERGY. And I am sorry but I do not think house will cut it. The new generation is harder and faster. As for "girly techno" Hmm I do not beleive that 30K+ germans would be getting their freak on to girly techno. Because techno interpreted by Marusha...Well if you get a chance to listen to her sets/albums I highly recommend it. She is sooo twisted its beoynd me.
  7. Yeah. About two weeks back Liebing was dooking it out with Beyer in Germany in a 4 hour battle. You see thats what I call party. Also forgot to mention in the other post another prominent DJ (and a very attractive at that) Marusha!!
  8. Bring UK Hard House and Hard Dance, German Techno and Hard Trance, and Belgian/Dutch Trance and I will permanently move to Limelight (Avalon). That was a crazy freaking night. I didnt hear any screw ups because it was LOUD just the way I like it. MARUSHA any1?
  9. Well judging by the crowd in Limelight on Saturday on Christian Smith and Picotto's night, as well as Liebing's nights in Arc now I feel obligated to ask that question IS TECHNO TAKING OVER NYC? Yes we had Tronic Treatment since the days of Twilo, and original Sound Factory. But it seems that this style now thanks to these people is taking the town by storm. AND LET IT. GOD there is sooo much house in NYC you can build another city. This is the energy, pure uncontrollable, blinding, and just all-encompassing ENERGY. It is right in your face, grabs you by your crutch and has its way with you and people love every single second of it!! I dont think I've seen that many people actually dancing in a club in a LONG time as I did this Saturday. So do we need more techno? And specifically THAT kind of techno (which can be summarized into German-style techno). When are we be able to see names such as Tom Wax, Tomcraft, Thomas Schumacher, Sven Vath, Adam Beyer and Chris Liebing and countless countless stars of this genre? Or how about new rising stars such as Valentino Kanzyani, Oliver Ho, Billy Nasty and all others? Techno needs to establish itself on the main stage in NYC. This will trully be an extacy in the making. Thoughts comments names?
  10. He spun one trance track very chilled. Cant remember the name for shit thoug. And he spun Coldplay - Clocks (remix??)
  11. Yep. It has been two days and I still hear pounding. Definately one of the best parties in the club I have seen in a looong time. I couldnt beleive just how crazy this music is. We definately do not get enough techno here. It was pure energy. Mauro was absolutely amazing. But I cant beleive you guys do not give props to our very own: Christian Smith. I mean that was definately US techno meets Europe techno. He delivered the crowd to Mauro on a "techno platter" sort of speak. And he was working across three decks !!! I think now our mainstream clubs are ready for German pioneers of techno. Bring on the Schranz!!!
  12. Sorry to disappoint you all, but it seems that Tiesto will be playing at the Republic on March 3. Second of all March 2 is the Gatecrasher at Limelight. And its my B-Day and a great way to celebrate it. But unfortunately he opens his residency at Gatecrasher at the Republic UK. This sucks. PLUR forever
  13. Hello! Well let me just start this by saying that a blow job for me is extremely personal. And I would not let anyone do it except when the girl is my girlfriend. I don't know but this is somehting very personal for me. So the answer is I would prefer probably great sex.
  14. I think the fav live mix by PVD is Live at Mayday. He is my favorite DJ. PLUR forever.
  15. DJ Tiesto is scheduled to open his residency at Gatecrasher at the Republic on 3/2/2001. Go to Gatecrasher website and check out under the club and listings. There will be 2 DJs plus someone under "guest" category. If that would be Tiesto that would be awsome. However at this point I thinkg it is save to say Tiesto is not going to be at Gatecrasher on 3/2/2001. PLUR forever
