  1. You are absolutely RIGHT!!!! WHERE THE HELL WAS I??? OHHH YEAAAHHH. LOL NEVER MIND!!! I was actually dancing on SENSATION WHITE EDITION!!! Now I dont feel bad!! http://www.clubplanet.com/mailer/2002/exit-0705/ Original flyer. Now thats a party and the PRICE!!!!
  2. Its JOSH WINK My best set has to be Chris Liebing Birthday Set last time he was in ARC (New York City, October/November 2003). JUST AMAZING!!! NUFF Said
  3. Definately Ferry!! Just read about him and was very pleased. He is moving away from his traditional dutch trance and exploring darker side of breakbeats and synths (similar to his Digital Funk)
  4. I still cant beleive they tore that room down. I mean its like tearing down a wing from the MET. I wander where the collection is now? Geiger is one of the most prominent contemporary artists in Europe. Was soo pissed that I missed his expositions here in NYC!!
  5. Really? Could have fooled me. I thought they listened to their financial advisors and gave us what lots of us didnt really want for a stif price? I am glad peeps njoyed it though. More props to you
  6. Thanks M8 but I already did. And they do not order (at least from the stores) I whould have specified that do not recommend me places like Amazon.com, or any other big retailers (such as Virgin) Thanks for your help though. I was in that store yesterday and spoke about it with the staff.
  7. Yes he is pretty good looking dude (I can say that in spite the fact that I am a guy) He has the charm of a DJ. And I beleive he is REALLY tall. In Webster Hall he was really energetic with great track selection & mixing skills. NYC is concentrating on something difference apperently. Avalon is already booked for a few months and we know what CROBAR is all about...HOUSE. Althought I have high spirits for SPIRIT (Dublin club that is also a multy national corporation) they will be bringing some cutting edge talent. And he is not going to WMC maybe JUST MAYBE because he is more about fans and music than all the craziness and "prestige" of being at WMC Remember, WMC is 99% UK producers/djs and apparently they do not have tolerance for any1 else. I am not sure about DC though. Last tiime we did that we went to see LANGE. Now that what trance should be like. AMAZING NIGHT. Worth 8 hour drive back and forth.
  8. Dont know about VIP area (I am not a VIP at least in the view of the beefcakes standing by the ropes) but my girl was able to walk into Avalon with a camera on a numerous occasions. And never had any trouble with it. As for the enforced rules: 2 years ago Privilege in Ibiza did not allow any cameras on its premises unless authorized (especially during Manumission parties) and last year they said screw it, bring on the cams, snap and shoot and spread the word. I beleive the only place in Ibiza left that does not allow cameras is Amnesia, but there are ways to bring it.
  9. Blank & Jones I have been dissappointed with lately. Went too commercial and too soft in my opinion. I mean create something like CREAM and than move to something like Nightclubbing is a bit disappointing. ATB on the other hand is a really good choice. He was amazing in Webster Hall (surprisingly THAT place had some gems in its walls such as Talla and Taucher). You are in luck, here are ATB's dates (and you might notice that he is NOWEHERE NEAR WMC 2004) which just shows that WMC is just a money grabbing parody of the conference: ATB USA Tour 2004 2004-03-12 usa tour - axis (salt lake city) 2004-03-13 usa tour - avalon (denver) 2004-03-15 usa tour - tba (albuquerque or phoenix) 2004-03-16 usa tour - tba (el paso) 2004-03-18 usa tour - arena 610 (houston) 2004-03-19 usa tour - tba (san antonio) 2004-03-20 usa tour - liquid (dallas) 2004-03-23 usa tour - tba (st louis) 2004-03-25 usa tour - oasis (chicago) 2004-03-26 usa tour - sphere (buffalo) 2004-03-27 usa tour - dream (washington) Blank & Jones apparently doing a Poland tour so do not expect them to be here in the near 2-3 months.
  10. JULY 2, 2002? in EXIT? I do not beleive so. I've known Cosmic Gate and followed their carrers for about 5 years now so I am sure I wouldnt miss them especially in Exit. But as far as travelling out of the country to see some acts...you know its worth it. Better quality of a set, cheaper, better crowds. All pluses. Especially seing German Djs in German environment...that is something
  11. One of the best live sets of my clubbing carreer. Intimate, personal, progressive...what a pure bliss of dance music is all about
  12. Thats what you get when some DJs forget what it is all about once they make it big. Buzz w/ Deep Dish was definately an awsome experience.
  13. Hey FOUR at least the crowd in NYC during that week will be AWSOME. Plus we get some really nice parties here....no worries...music shall take over NYC for that week!!!
  14. I aint going eithere. There are better places where I would spend my money and enjoy it much much more.
  15. What best DJs you talking about? Give me a break!!!! UK completely dominates the WMC which I am sorry to break it to you is NOT all that representative of the dance culture. And of course fouroneone was right...this became pathetic since Spring Break coincides with WMC which means that all the underage frat brothers and sorority sisters will be getting off on each other while nipping pills and trying to get drunk under age. WMC lost its magik
  16. True but it is because PATRONS give this business such bad name. And I am sorry to break it to you JPs crowds are some of the worse ones at that. Underage drinking and drug abuse is the major part why NYC nightclubbing has been suffering tremendously. As far as bank rolling a DJ well wasnt Diggers the real estate owner of a building where Renaissance was situated?
  17. Very happy to see that there are DuMonde's heads here. But unfortunately DuMonde is far out from our reach for many reasons, one of them being that I do not think there was yet a night of Hard Dance in NYC area yet...and honestly do you think they will sound great in SF? The system is pure crap!!! I literally had to slam my head into the speaker to hear how Marco V was trying to do the highs in his set. What a dissapointment. On a more pleasent note, my best friend spoke to M.I.K.E. (aka Dirk "PUSH" Derrickx) and was told by him that he is planning an American tour and New York City will be as one of his destinations. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
  18. What you talking about? Cameras are allowed on all major clubs in NYC. That is the great promotion tool they use.
  19. I beleive the server name is Essential Dj Mixes
  20. Try DC++ Only remember to share at least 1 gig worth of music. No WAV files or porn will be tolerated in the collection you share on that program.
  21. Hello all: I need help locating website/store that would sell the original (not used) copy of the following TECHNO CLUB compilations: TECHNO CLUB Vol. 2 Talla 2XLC meets Tom Wax TECHNO CLUB Vol. 3 Taucher joins Mario De Bellis TECHNO CLUB Vol. 8 Talla 2XLC calls Moguai TECHNO CLUB Vol. 11 Talla 2XLC goes Pulsedriver TECHNO CLUB Vol. 14 Talla 2XLC welcomes Cosmic gate The store pref. to be located in New York City Thanks for all your help Peace and love
  22. 18 18 Marco V was 18. I dont beleive they even checked IDs at the entrance. Just please come for the music!
  23. YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!!!! And I thought everyone is as brainwashed about this event as ever. Just to sum it all up another fact about WMC: for the 1st time I ever heard more of an underground DJ will be performing on one of the parties in Miami. You might recall him by the tracks such as Universal Nation, Tranzy State Of Mind, Legacy: of course I am talking about M.I.K.E. (aka PUSH, Plastic Boy, Solar Factor). These bastards did not even include him in the broadcast on Global DJ Broadcast radio. HOW FUCKED UP IS THAT? And once again the entire WMC is ALL ABOUT HOUSE!!!! WTF????
  24. Right before the law will be passed to shut down dance venues at 1 am thus effectively performing an "abortion" on the NYC nightlife. I would have to say that since August 2003 I havent had as much fun in NYC nightclubs since Twilo closed its doors. I might come off a bit pessimistic but it looks more like a party before the funeral if you know what I mean....
