  1. You really make me laugh. A questoion have you been outside Miami? And not far how about West Coast (I am not even talking about Europe). Have you ever asked yourself a question that maybe JUST MAYBE other genres DO NOT NEED to create a WMC to make themselves be known to masses. It took D'N'B what about 10 years slowly creaping in darks of the clubs where you wouldnt even set foot in with your tennis shoes, tan and Gucci glasses. And it is true about all other music as well. You see what YOU dont realize is that house slipped very quetly without any struggle in the place of disco. Very simple. The places were there, the crowd was there. All house needed to do is to adjust a bit. Whereas everything else needed to really work its way to the top. And I am "very happy" that you will make a decent profit. That is another reason why this conference is nothing but a shell. It is driven for a profit ah? The only thing is (Thank God for that) is that Ultra features so many people for a very "european" price.
  2. Comes as a surprise to me. I've been to Limelight religiously since Tunnel closed and NEVER saw him in that stretch. And as far as SF concerned definately a news to me. The only person I remember from there in the passed few years are Van Dyk and Fergie. THATS it. I checked the message boards/flyers and did not find any indicators he was here.
  3. There you go. And as far as I know Platipus is still afloat. They had a tour a few years back but mysteriously bypassed NYC
  4. Strangest thing though. There might be another Jonathan Peters then in Europe who HAS a huge following overseas. I wander if that is the same JP. On www.discogs.com only our JP showes up
  5. Hmm the only thing to recommend than are lounges. Sullivan Room. And Nation in LI. Otherwise, get on the guestlist and get to a club before 12 am. Usually can get in for $15
  6. Try Barnes and Nobles thats where I got my copy. And the price for Party Monster should not be more than $20.
  7. Well we live on East Coast which means he has to come down here no? And about Union Jack ok they split up, I am sure they are doing solo carreers.
  8. Not since Tunnel closed. He was supposed to be here with Marco V in Exit but never showed up.
  9. Can you please tell it to the managment in SF? LOL They will listen to you!
  10. Avalon is odd as you put it. And sound is concentrated towards the middle. Arc has the adventage of having a small space and properly situated speakers (4 corners of the room including 2 subs in between) And OMG can you hear the highs and the bass. I did notice the same buzzing and that is what I was talking about when I was talking about not hearing the highs. All I hope is that the system will be done properly before Rank 1 and Cosmic Gate will show up, because Rank 1 is ALL about highs.
  11. You should my friend. You really should. Their sets are like tales...just take you on a journey.
  12. I think this is true. And I think Avalon has that. I mean they are bringing Lisa Lashes!!! And beleive me she has a really nice thing going in UK right about now. And you will be surprised what people might want to come to NYC. I already mentioned about Judge Jules. "...If you ask him he will. Dont go for djs that became rock stars, go for the talent and you will see. Jules was in NYC long before 1st time he did a Gatecrasher party in Limelight. You know what he said? Noone ever approached me to spin anywhere in NYC. I was coming here for years to shop for records!!!! IMAGINE THAT!!" People like Yves De Ruyter, PUSH, Talla, Taucher, Scott Project all would gladly come here. And they are not as expensive as you think you are. Promotion is the key.
  13. Yes all of the ones you mentioned BEEN here before. Which means we saw them on more than one occasion. I am talking about peeps that been here ONCE and usually in a not so appealing place. Or peeps that never been here.
  14. Crobar is a huge space, still sound system is working perfectly. Some statements are true. I really think that sound system is fine it is just not tuned in right. So whats the answer? Hire someone who knows the system and KNOWS THE MUSIC THAT WILL BE PLAID on that system. Simple. And Phazon is NOT an overrated system. You see if it was (since the clients include clubs around the world) this system would not be bought. Simple. Besides I am telling to put phazon in SF (althought it would be a nice touch) but at least tune it rite. And I dont care how big the place is. Republic (home of Gatecrasher) is a huge warehouse prolly 2x the size of SF. The sound is amazing.
  15. I dont care bro. I am with you a 100%. We cant all be wrong you know.
  16. I remember he didnt show up in Twilo and CF and Boston. But unless I was looking at his twin brother he was in SF on Thursday (I even remember the day of the week)
  17. Yeah he is my fav still to this day. Hmm have you considered PUSH aka M.I.K.E. or Yves De Ruyter or Moguai? Lol I know granted we never had them here but...What about Lange?
  18. That is all I do too. Just never found it on WMC. Thats all.
  19. Oliver Lieb was in SF one Thursday in 2000 or one of those years. I have a flyer to prove it. Not to mention that I actually SAW him there. You can argue? Go right ahead. But bring some other djs into play except those I named in the opening post.
  20. Spoken like a person who knows his shit. I would just add and make sure that DJ knows it how to bring all these different styles together: beleive you me you will beleive where you find yourself. I love that feeling.
  21. I was about to post that. That story actually was going around the island for the entire season. (I was there in the same year but later after Love Parade and Sensation White). But it is not the first time that DJs get messed up there. I saw Oakie doing lines from his Vinyl in Pacha on his Perfecto nites. WICKED
