  1. But to the Yankees credit, they were not the ones who signed Kevin Brown to that ridiculous deal, it was the dodgers. But the yankees are the suckers paying him now. LETS GO METS
  2. Hey all, couple of my friends from Miami, just called and said their in town tonight. They wanted to go somewhere to bust some serious moves and see some of NY's finest bust their own. I heard SHELTER brings out the truest of dancers? Anyone got any info, any cover to get in? ANYONE GOT A LIST? give me a buzz 315-527-0096 Waseem
  3. Me and my cousins got open container tickets all at the same time. We all went to court. Me and one of my cousins just paid the $25 dollar fine. My other cousin plead not guilty. So he came back to court a month later. The police officer never showed up (which is most often the case) and his ticket got DISMISSED. So its up to you, pay $25 now and get it over with. Or waste another day and just get it dismissed. Umm this open container tickets is simply like a jaywalking or traffic violation type ticket. It is not considered an alcohol related offense (like DWI or DWAI). You will be fine. don't worry so hard.... you RETARD!!!!
  4. I didn't even know his name was Gabe, but now I do. I remember a while back Gabe posted some shit on Larry Levan and paradise garage. That shit was so fucking interesting!!!!!!! I throughly enjoyed hearing about some of the roots of the CLUB and house music. Thanks again for posting that Gabe. peace Waseem
  5. For all of those who have always wondered, why the fuck is their only one east side subway line (4,5,6). They actually built a 2nd avenue tunnel. But it just didn't quite get off the ground. Check out this link, this dude explores subway tunnels and here are some pictures he took of the 2nd avenue tunnel. FOR some of you extreme underground party people, I'm sure you will say that you attended raves in this tunnel. http://www.satanslaundromat.com/sl/archives/000367.html Yo man, I'm into the underground party scene man.... I'm so underground man, yo man like i goto raves in the subway tunnel man , lol Oh and this is the MTA link to prove its not a rumor, quite interesting actually http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/capconstr/sas/ Yo man, I'm into the underground party scene man.... I'm so underground man, yo man like i goto raves in the subway tunnel man , lol
  6. You know growing up I listened to all kinds of music, rap, heavy metal, etc.. etc... and yes their was house too! I mean at the time I didn't even know that it was house music. I mean I'm talkin like me in 6th grade (that would be around 1991) And back then I remember loving songs like ("I got the power" , or "PUMP up the JAM", or that "KLF joint 2am eternal", "Strike it up", "everybody everybody". I was young yes, but I loved listening to those songs with all the rest. Then as I older , and I'll say sophmore year college, started going to raves with friends. After returning upstate from a party (B00 99), I remember just craving to hear the beats like that again. So I went out and bought my first ever Dance CD (since 1991) and that was granted a Trance CD (kimball collins ICU 1), but I soon realized that the trance just didn't cut it and I needed to some funkyness that only house music could give me. When did I truly know how much "house music" moved me, was the constant euphoric sensation that would come over to me, when i heard a funky joint or nice buildup. Didn't need any drugs, though yes I've done plenty. Thats another point, people talk about DRUGS. I don't know about you, but when it all started with the music for me and my friends. FIRST WE SEE that a DJ we like is spinning (thats why we would go to the parties or CLUBS) And if after we that we decided to party alittle hard that night, well then cool., but it was always about the music. GOD I've blabbed on and on it seems. But yes House music gets me going, i buy CD's from stores (and the occasional bootleg club mixes too) , Going to clubs to support DJ's I like, yes occasionallly. As long as house music keeps putting a smile on my face and my head moving, it'll always be my favorite music.
  7. I'm an accounting clerk at a Wall Street investment bank
  8. I'll say it again, one word describes Carl's music "PUMPING!!!!!!!!!!!" Man oh man, to hear one of the man's long ass sets, and see all the different types of genres he'll blend (its not all just techno) I still remember back in 2001, their was this party at TWILO. Think it was Presidents Day. It was Carl Cox and Danny Tenaglia. And for about two hours they tag teamed. OH DEAR LORD, i think I fucking creamed my pants. Oh wait that mighta been cuz my girl was jerking me off in the club. OH SNAP , just playing!!!!!!!!! And I know people who don't really go for Carl Cox. And thats the great thing about music. We all move to a different beat. Good music is good music. They'll never be able to be one TRUE BEST DJ. But mine's COXY!!!
  9. Yeah ok, whatever.... heres the story though http://www.thecheers.org/article_1202_Chinese-deliveryman-spent-3-days-in-elevator.html
  10. 2-CB, one of the most potent hallucinogenics i've taken. SO much so, that we don't even refer to it as 2-CB, we simply call it BEAUTIFUL My first beautiful trip was fourth of july some 3 years ago. Took it at like 6pm, and it dosen't kick in for two hours. I was drinking up a storm, and i started to get a alittle nauseous on the on set of the drug, very numbing body buzz. I even puked. The funny part was, my friend goes, OH NO i hope you didn't puke it out. And i looked at the ground where i just puked, and my puke was bubbling like a witches cauldron. ANd i said, "oh trust me, its already in me, brotha" I would lean back on my car and stare at the other cars in this parking lot, and they would all just BEND AWAY FROM ME. When it gets darker, its like everything around you has this natural shimmer around it, ya know a shimmer Once the fireworks started, (remember it was the 4th) WOW, i'm so ashamed to admit this, but the visual stimuli from the drug, and the spectacular fireworks display, coupled with patriotic songs, was enough to bring tears to my eyes. MORE or less probably cause of the amazing visuals. You'll hear peeps refer to 2-CB as nexus too!
  11. Last May I went up to Guvernment in Toronto and seen Mauro Picotto for the first time ever. And it was great. REAL REAL HARD. (but I guess he was catering to the crowd) Anyhow he wouldn't leave the turn tables (too my delight, but i felt bad for the not so big as him DJ's that didn't get to spin til much later in the evening) At one point he played this one song, and I just looked at my friend JZ and said, "WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And then proceeded to dance myself into a sweaty mess" Its really a real dirty bass line The song was called DK - Murder Was The Bass "I'm sure many of you heard it last year"
  12. I haven't rolled in over two years. But at my peak, my hardcore clubs and raves day my fellow associates and I were big on 5-HTP. Me personally I would literally start taking 5-htp days before I knew i was going to roll. And the actual day I was going to roll, i'd eat like 3 or four (5-HTP capsules) every few hours. VERY IMPORTANT- 5-HTP can't act alone, you need to take vitamin b-6 i believe with it. Some 5-HTP capsules contain B-6 already. ANYWAYS........... Eating all that tryptophan (5-HTP) will make you very tired. But wait til you finally pop your ROLL. ROLL comes on fast and HARDER!!!!!! But I think the duration is shorter. So go figure. Afterw my rolls all said and done. I sit back and puff some nugs and pop a few more 5-HTP. They seem to take away that E-Headache you get comming down. and help you goto sleep. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Last time I went to WMC was in 2002. I went to the Radio-One party at Nikki Beach. It was a free party. Pete Tong was spinning, so was DJ Dan, and so was mofo Derrick Carter. To tell you the truth I really hadn't heard him spin before. His beats we so pure and unadulterated and funky, nice vocals too!(smooth r&b voices if you will). And it was tight. I go walking to the bathroom a short time after he got done spinning. And guess whose big black ass walks out of the bathroom, it mofo derrick carter, I gave him a big handshake, said nice set, and continued success on an already succesful career. I bought one of his CD's after that. One titled Square Dancing in a round house...or something like that it was aieght....
  14. Reminds me of that scene from Cheech and Chong up in SMOKE. When chong sees a can of AJAX tipped over on a plate. And he smiles and laughs to himself, "woah almost looks like the real thing" So he playfully starts cutting lines of it out, just to mess around. And some girl walks in and says, "where have you been all my life"... and Chong's like no its... before he even gets a chance the girl sniffs 4 HUGE LINES of the ajax. Bitch starts making elephant noises and blowing her lips out going, "ummmphh ummph, ummmphh........... CLASSIC SCENE!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Just went their for my first time this past saturday. MY GOD IT BLEW!!!! SO godly terrible. I mean I never feel so inclined to post a bad review about a lounge. BUT ITS SUCKED> . 1. Doors suppose to open at 10, didn't open til 10:50 or so. 2. Supposedly they were suppose to happen an open bar from 10-11. NEVER WAS!!!!!! I mean their trying to create a buzz about this place. WHEN THEIRS REALLY NOTHING THEIR. Umm stupid peeps at the door, line outside, not opening til the main room til much later in the night. God the only thing good about Viscaya was the nice captain and coke the brunette bartender made me. Shit was strong. But the place just sucks. I would never ever go their again. Find a better spot for your birthday party.
  16. Hey so i'm just bumming around the net in the graduate lab today, and anyone who went to Ultra in Miami of 2001, and caught oakenfolds set, heres a great link of it http://dancepass.net/sr/mi/?ID=NjY=&BR=MzAw&MIME;.asx When you goto the site, download it, then use like windows media player to open it, great clips of the crowd, you may even see yourself ENJOY(if you just click open, it may use winamp to open it, and not work, who knows though) YEAH I KNOW ITS THREE YEARS OLD, but it brought back memories FOR ME, like OH YEAH I REMEMBER HIM PLAYING THAT SONG
  17. DJ Jon Stevens, if your the one they call "jos", and u worked with Brit, and vidoni, and miller (who lived in brooklyn) back in the day..... then i was that shady pakistani kat , and we chilled a few times back in the day..... the names Waseem.... ring a bell or no?
  18. So I first went in 2001, and it was great, and i went again in 2002, and it was great. Didnt' go in 2003 and i heard the exact same thing that alot of you were saying. WAY TOO MANY YOUNGINS etc..etc.. You know, you shouldn't knock peeps for not going, the WMC is a big committment for a good time. MONEY< NO SLEEP, and bodily abuse. Man in 2002, when i did up Danny T's entire set at Space on his B-day, man oh man. My forehead still hurts to this day, from all the insuflation. Where did yoko ono and coxy come from, an utter delight. To all those that go this year have a blast, to all those who don't , just think about the extra year of your life you'll live. werd life........ Chud-diggity
  19. Seriously, i'm not gonna diss sasha and diggers. I like em, BUT FUCKING EH , CARL COX hands down. I had the luxury of seeing carl cox in a great Venue. OSAKA JAPAN, at the UNDERLOUNGE this past December. STILL THE MAN , STILL THE MAN I mean i've said it once before, but one word says it best ...PUMPING!!!!!!!!!!!! AND as someone just said, you can go see BOTH on friday and saturday. BUt me personally i'll save myself for Saturday. Man if i had a dollar for everytime i found myself on instinct just saying "FUCK YEAH CARL!!!" during a coxy set. I'd be able to do even more drugs than i already do
  20. I tell you its one of the most embarrasing feelings to walk into a store, go to get your money out, and baam theirs a rolled up bill , thats bad enough, if you un roll it to actually use it , and shits still caked on, man oh man, those clerks just roll their eyes. OH WHAT ABOUT, taking out a card to pay, and having shit all caked on that. MAN OH MAN\

  23. Utopia in NYC on wednesday and slept most of the day yesterday until we got up for dinner, then came back home and slept again. The party was just Ok. The security was so tough. The lady actually grabbed my crotch, which is where our bumper was, and I know she felt it so I was all sketched out the rest of the night. I thought I was being watched and I may very well could have been. They made us take off our shoes, hats, bandanas, sweatshirts, felt our feet, looked in our shoes, felt my hair, it was scary and I thought I was going to get busted for a second. But they let me in anyways even though I know she knew I had something. There were narcs ALL OVER, dressed as ravers and who were just watching EVERYONE ALL the time. Needless to say after the search in the beginning, I took NO more bumps the rest of the night because I was tripping a little bit. But oh well. The people in NY and the vibe of the parties is NOT at all like how it was when we were raving on a regular. I'm now convinced that the scene is no more. People were shady and the vibe throughout the night felt like that feeling you get from the crowd at the end of the night. It seemed like NO ONe was smiling and having fun, except me and the crew. We had a great time together however. The music was off the hook but no one really seems to dance like they used to. It's like they are afarid of what people might think of them if they aredancing and they are not that great of one. WHO CARES!!! Have fun right? Isn't that what it's about. But you know us, we sure as hell were dancing our asses off!!! I danced for All of you. George Acosta was great!! The vibe got a little better once he came on. Skylabb 2000 was wonderful as well and Deisel Boy and AK1200 spun a 2 hour set that blew the roof off!! But the party was in mid town which was cool. I saw time square which was literally 2 block up from where we parked and we got to hear the Macy's parade warming up when we left the club at like 5. So that was a treat in itself.
