i think it's more a matter of preferences. . . all those big names you mentioned are more the edm "mainstream" and have played out in chicago several times. . . last i was in chicago, i remember sort of a backlash against the progressive/regressive house wankers from the uk, which might explain the low turnout. . . all the names on that long list above are "global talent", just not ones that the avg head would know. . . if you want talent, i would most definitely hit up smart bar! hi tommy!

really? i didn't enjoy it. . . the most of the set was good. . . i just don't like it when he goes on the mic (esp. during his live PAs) and starts talking/singing about molecules, ex-girlfriends, drugs. . . .though, i don't know of any stuff by curtis jones that is w/o kitchsy vocals about answering machines, little pills, and percolators. .

i want to try listening to one piece of music consistently while working on series of paintings i'm going to start soon. . . preferably something w/o vocals, instrumental, edm whatever. . . something that can be looped or listened to w/in a 3-4 hour period. . . any suggestions?
