This isn't a yes or no question for me. I have blue periods now and again and always have since I was a teenager. But, overall I think I'm a positive person and I feel very blessed in my life. Now when I feel a blue period coming on, I seek help (therapy), exercise, journal, talk to friends and family. The key is to keep yourself from feeling isolated and to hit the depression head on with any and every tool you have. You gotta reach for joy in your life with both hands, you know?
