  1. one place to send an out-of-towner visiting the LA area...where would it be?!? I am heading out on a business trip next week, which will also be my first trip to LA. I have the weekend free, and I want some insight on what's hot out there. To give a little help, I am into the NYC club scene...usually Sound Factory and/or Exit...and some of my favs are Tenaglia, Vicious, and JP. I'll be based in Costa Mesa, so I'm really not sure what, if anything, is around there. I know it is about 1 hour from downtown LA, so I'm not sure where I'll be going. Any help out there?!?!? Thanx.
  2. i can give you the kasio kid song. drop me an e-mail and i'll set you up.
  3. Lots of good ones, but I'd have to narrow it down to (in no particular order: --Where Do I Go - Girellini --Rapture - Deep Dish Mix (apparently) --Absolutely Not (Hex Hector Mix) --Let U Go - Wippenburg Mix --I Feel Loved - Tenaglia's Labor of Love Mix --To Be Able To Love - JP (gotta agree...never got old) --The Sound of Goodbye (van Buuren Mix) --AM to PM - Hex Hector Mix --Innocente - Deep Dish Mix --(last but definitely not least) We Come 1
  4. i'm pretty sure the song you're looking for is Fatboy Slim's 'Star 69'. there are several mixes of it...if you look at the music board's posts you might find some insights on which one are better. i have the timo maas mix and the original.
  5. i do happen to agree, but for the sake of variety...i'll put out my second favorite: a bronx tale
  6. from what i've heard, i had a really good time at drais latenight! the place doesn't open until 2 or 3, but that's where everyone i ran across was headed after each club we went to.
  7. btw.... mixmeister.com
  8. I've been using MixMeister for about three months now and I think its great. You get a free trial for 30 days, so you can see if you like it/if its easy for you to use/etc. It has a one-click standard beat mixing option, but it usually just takes some minor tweaking off the suggested beat mixing to get something really smooth.
  9. rumor has it that the newest mix (which i don't believe has been officially released) is masked under some other title on WinMX. i know that's really no help, so in the meantime you can get a couple of different jonathan peters' mixes on WinMX. i like 'let the sunshine (jp's white label mix)'
  10. i agree! definitely feeling TP's mix of absolutely not also. i like the more upbeat version over hex's (although i think that one is hot too).
  11. so far i think everyone's doin a great job! here's my three: 1. rapture (creamer mix) 2. where do i go 3. absolutely not (thunderpuss mix)
  12. tp, i think you nailed it. i also have it somewhere on disc. i'll load it up onto my hard drive....then you can try to find me on WinMX. i think i go by the same name there.
  13. The Bismarck...aka "Strawberry Shortcake"
  14. peach crackhouse peach schnapps, blackhaus, cranberry juice
  15. zima. only kidding...i can only do guinness now that i have developed the taste for it (although i really haven't given the microbrews a chance...maybe i should try 'em out!)
  16. i'm still loving 'to be able to love', 'standing still' and 'crazy about you'. i'm also really getting into 'imagine (baez mix)'. i wasn't sure at first but the more i hear it the more i like it!
