  4. Homegrown - A Party for NYC DJ Talent Tuesday, January 28th at Sin Sin 8pm-2am **Special Guests** This week, we welcome back Ian Huxley, and are proud to introduce Quay, a well-known DJ from Denver who just relocated to NYC with 7 years of experience under his belt. This weeks line up: Bogdan 8-9 (house) Ian Huxley 9-10 (progressive/tech-house) Quay 10-11 (tech-house) Lasix 11-12:30 (tech/trance) Nathan Leonard 12:30-2 (progressive house) Homegrown is a free weekly showcase of NYC¹s local up-and-coming DJ talent. Our sole purpose is to support New York City's thriving DJ scene. No attitudes. No discrimination based on experience. Simply an intimate setting where bedroom DJs get a shot at the spotlight and music heads get a chance to hear the unheard. Every week all the DJs sets are recorded and then broadcasted on the web at www.metromixradio.com. Open call to DJs: come down and submit your demos for an opportunity to spin in the future. Four 60-minute slots are available each week to be filled by up-and-comers and bedroom DJs alike, not to mention some very special guests. Come out to support your local talent and have a good time. www.homegrownnyc.com www.metromixradio.com

  9. **Special Guests Alert** P-Jay (NYEX, Tronic Treatment): P-Jay's career stretches back to the days of the legendary Caffeine parties in Long Island, up to now where he holds down residencies at two of the most successful techno events in New York. Aside from his own NYEX party at Drinkland, P-Jay has opened for a long list of the biggest techno djs + producers in the world who drop by every Monday to Tronic Treatment @ Baktun, where he is known to bring the crowd along with him as he kicks the party off proper, using a stirring selection of minimal tracks to get people in gear for what is usually a high-energy affair. He is also capable of dropping a Live PA once in a while, so don't be afraid to wander over to Drinkland after Homegrown finishes up at 2am on any given week' P-Jay and company rock out till 4. This weeks line up: Bogdan 8-9 (house) Gregg Lauren 9-10 (deep house/tech-house) Obaid 10-11 (drum & bass) P-Jay 11-12 (minimal techno) Farias 12-1 (techno/tech-house) Lasix 1-2 (techno)

Assuming the nom de guerre Tom Sawyer he was offered sets at nearly every hard dance music event in and around his hometown, the English city of Lincoln. He stopped using the Tom Sawyer alias in 1997 to coincide with a new deeper style and was asked to be a resident at a prominent Lincoln bar, which he left after nearly three years to recommit himself to the underground scene.
  11. Fuck. That’s just great another true underground legend turning against the people that put it on the map. I hope Tronic finds a new spot.
  12. There is no dress code on Tuesday for Homegrown, on Thursday for D3 or any other night that involves the two parties. All other nights they’re enforcing a strict no hat policy.
  13. WOW congratulations Shannon. All that studying did pay off after all
