  1. It's been about six weeks for me with no loving. My girl is pregnant and she's never in the mood anymore. But she does enjoy watching Japanese porn with me, so I guess that'll do for now.
  2. LOL Actually, when I played Downtime I brought my records out with me. I played a 4 1/2 hour set for their Independence Day Party and I played records for about half of my set. Saint James was also spinning there that night, and he played mostly records.
  3. I started out with vinyl and a pair of Gemini decks nine years ago before I finally got my 1200s. But I'll admit that I use mostly cds nowadays. I don't have the money to spend on new wax every week like I used to, and the few records I do buy now get burned to cd anyway since the decks are so shitty at the club I spin at. It's also convenient not having to carry my records everywhere, plus I like editing the majority of the tracks I spin before I play them out. I love Terence Fixmer's stuff, but the mastering job on some of his records is pretty horrendous so I'll tweak the sound a bit and then burn it to cd. Or sometimes I'll like a song except for one retarded break or sample that the producer decided to throw in, so I'll make my own edited mix and burn it to cd before I play it out. Playing cds for me is just about knowing what sound I like and having more control over the track since I can tweak it to my satisfaction. Records are still more fun for me, though, and I still dig them out every once in a while for my own amusement.
  4. Fucking christ... people defending the club they go to like someone had just talked shit about their momma. Lighten the fuck up. He just wanted to know what the cd was like, so someone who has it, post the damn tracklisting so he can get an idea of what it sounds like. So some of the tracks he plays are different mixes of KTU vocals. People can't have their own opinion if they don't like his music? I'm one of them, and personally don't like JP's DJing or the people that go to SF. But then those people probably wouldn't like hanging out at the spots I play watching ghetto-vamps and gravers stompin to hard techno and gabba with body-modifaction performances onstage. We all like what we like, but for christ's sake, it's just a club. It's not like someone just talked shit about you to your face. Get over it.
  5. The one on the first mix is called "Kill Yourself Dan Wilson" and the one on the second mix is called "Eat Shit & Die Dan Wilson". Both are by DJ Quoth I believe.
  6. Dude, don't even worry about a dresscode. Steelow's trying to enforce one starting next month, but I'm letting him know tonite that I ain't happy with it. A lot of the crowd that comes to see me spin are gravers (dark ravers), so wear whateva the fuck ya want. If everyone wore spikes and shit while I'm spinnin gabba, there'd be a pile of bodies lying on the floor.
  7. They quit doing that Morpheus Rising party downstairs a few months ago. I'm not sure if those Jersey guys are still doing the 80s party upstairs.
  8. every Friday nite on the upper level of Flamingo East (219 2nd Ave btwn 13th & 14th Sts) you'll find me spinnin techno, industrial and gabba for the Fun House party. -Dräcos
  9. Possibly, but not likely. Europeans are just more open about music, and they don't have govts., media, or religious officials telling them what's suitable to listen to. Dimmu Borgir (this Norwegian black metal band) performed on German tv once, playing their style of demonic metal while surrounded by flames and scantily clad fetish girls crawling around on the ground. And after the song was over the cameras showed the audience, and regular looking people in suits and ties were standing up and applauding. I really wish we had that kind of appreciation for all kinds of music over here.
  10. Wednesdays at Opaline for Gehenna Fridays at Flamingo East for Fun House Saturdays at Downtime for Batcave If you wanna stop by Fun House at Flamingo East (219 2nd Ave btwn 13th & 14th Sts. on the upper level) tell the door that you're there to see Dräcos spin and they'll only charge you $5. The bottom level is a different goth party every week, and the upper level has gravers, ghetto-vamps, and rivetheads stomping to tekno-industrial and gabber every Friday.
  11. http://www.trancecore.tk I enjoyed their little intro movie so thought I'd share they also have a few mp3s
  12. Ok, so I play hardcore/gabber at the end of the nite each Friday at Fun House. But last nite's shit was insane. It was only about ten minutes into my hardcore set around 3:30am, when it looked like a freakin mosh pit was forming in the middle of the dancefloor. One of the promoters even had me turn off the music for a sec so she could warn the overly-aggressive types. Dudes were getting tackled, people were stomping like crazy... I even saw one guy climb up to a ledge on the side of the wall and jump into the pit like he was stage-diving at a death metal concert. And since the people that attend our party tend to be of the freakier/evil kind, it truly looked like a scene from the Apocalypse. God, I love spinnin for the darkside of NYC's club scene.
  13. Yeah, the Side FX record has been impossible for me to find, probably cause it's on Le Petit Prince and no one seems to have that shit anymore since that label got so weird in the late 90s. Seems like they're starting to come back with some better releases, though.
  14. ...what they're lookin for on soulseek, kazaa, or winmx? are there any other search engines for music files that have a larger selection? cause i can never find any of the shit i'm lookin for, specifically the filterheadz remix of oliver lieb's "subsonik" and side fx's "feel the beat".
  15. Just check out some of the smaller parties like ours. Individuality? We get all kinds of people at our party ranging from ghetto-vampires to gravers to cyber-goths, and drag queens and dominatrixes always get in for free. And we also have performers once in a while like last Friday when we had a group of fire eaters doing their thing. More techno? Every Friday I'm mixing between techno, schranz, hard nrg, industrial and gabber/hardcore. Lower admission? Our party is only $10, or if you mention that you're there to hear me (Dräcos) spin, they'll only charge you $5. Or if you're a drag queen or dom it's free, and it's free for ladies before 11pm. Drinks are cheap, and free shots til the bottle's empty (which is usually by midnight now). So anyway, if you're ever looking for something different to do on a Friday nite, check out Fun House at Flamingo East (219 2nd Ave btwn 13th & 14th) www.funhouseparty.com Some people think that it's just a goth party, but I assure you that from midnite til close, Rexx Arkana and myself are mixing between trance, techno, industrial and a lil' gabba at the end of the nite. Personally, I detest gothic music and am more of a fan of dark, hard techno, so come check it out sometime and drop my name at the door for an admission of only $5. -Dräcos www.SubsurfaceProductions.com
  16. My typical weekend consists of spinning techno, industrial and gabber for the freaks of NYC. Every Friday I spin for Master Steelow's Fun House fetish party at Flamingo East. Then last Saturday I played for a local dominatrix's b-day party which was also held at Flamingo East. After that, we went to an afterhours dungeon and hung out there til 9am. Then Sunday night, I headed up to Harlem to DJ for a twisted body-mods performance show where I was playing some hardcore shit while people were being suspended above the dancefloor thru hooks in their skin and performers onstage did all kinds of crazy body scarifications along with some blood and needle play. Good wholesome fun, ya know?
  17. I think Tiesto has a blowjob from a toothless trannie also in his contract... along with the hundred bones and drink tickets.
  18. Flamingo East - 219 2nd Ave btwn 13th & 14th Realm of Darkness - 2234 3rd Ave btwn 121 & 122nd Opaline - 85 Ave A btwn 5th & 6th
  19. I close out Fun House every Friday at Flamingo East where I mix techno/schranz, industrial and gabber. And one Saturday a month, I play at the Realm of Darkness up in Harlem for a few hundred freaks, same kind of music. I also play the Gehenna/Gomorrah parties at Opaline on Wednesdays every once in a while.
  20. Also depends on what scene. I've been spinning under different aliases for nine years, but I usually get paid shit when I DJ for an industrial or fetish party. But I like the music and the people, so I keep playing them.
  21. I tend to mix in some schranz with industrial and techno for my first set at Fun House every Friday, depending on my mood. Sometimes the people get into it and dance like crazy, and sometimes they want more melodic stuff, so I just gotta read the crowd. I even used DJ Amok's "Gemetzel (2001 Rework)" as the opening track on my latest industrial mix cd since it's such a cold, hard and dark techno tune. You can check out the first 30 minutes of the mix online at www.SubsurfaceProductions.com under the Dräcos music section to see what I'm talkin about.
  22. Fun House for all your techno-industrial-gabber needs.
  23. I fucked someone in the bathroom of a recording studio once while we were recording a track for a tribute album. Does that count?
  24. I've really been getting into schranz the last few months, and I've been thinking about starting a new techno/schranz party. Opportunity knocks, and I've got a meeting with the owner of this one joint before I go to spin at Fun House tonite, so I'm trying to decide if this is something I should pursue or not. Anyone into schranz-style techno at all?
  25. Fun House at Flamingo East on Fridays. Various promoters alternate doing goth parties downstairs while we do our techno-industrial-gabber thing upstairs.
