  1. Woohoo, I get an award! list of who needs the shit kicked out of them: Shelter - for banning me from spinning hardcore Opaline - for banning me from spinning hardcore Flamingo East - not only from banning me from spinning hardcore, but also for blaming my music as the reason why the club got fined over $10 grand Bloomberg - for this fucked up smoking ban bullshit Feel free to add more to this list if you know someone else that needs a size 13 steel toe army boot forcefully implanted up their ass.
  2. Cause after pleasing a black girl for over six years, I had convinced myself that I was a little better than average. Listening to this other girl talk about how big her ex was killed alot of that and made me feel inadequate. Cause she's a bitch.
  3. I had a g/f who always talked about how her ex was over 9". That was depressing after about the 10th time she mentioned it.
  4. We had Daryyl Hell play at our party one time and my jaw was on the floor. Not only is he a turntablist, but he's an industrial turntablist. Rather than your typical breaks, this guy was cutting up some of the most twisted sounds and distorted beats. Amazing shit.
  5. music, djing, painting, computer art, sculpting, writing, historical research, technological research, occult research, and trying to be a good step-dad
  6. Normally I don't watch this shit. But tonite I needed to give my ears a rest after working on new mixes all day, so I decided to watch the show for the fuck of it. Two things I was glad to see. Annie Lennox picked up some kind of achievement award which was really nice to see. And the tribute to Jam Master Jay was a great trip down memory lane. I've been DJing for over 10 years, and I could DJ for another 10 years and never reach the level this guy was at. I remember when I was a little kid, and one of the first tapes I picked up was "Tougher Than Leather". The sounds and rhythms on that album blew my mind back then. Alot of it even inspired some of my earlier stuff in the early 90s. And just seeing some of the bullshit artists out now paying respect to that man made watching that bullshit awards show worthwhile. So anyway, on a drunken sentimental note, just wanted to say that even though Jam Master's days were cut short, he acheived more in those days than most do in a lifetime...
  7. It can wear you out, but if your heart's into it, you can't argue with that. I'm up to six different aliases now that I DJ/produce under, two more aliases that are just recording projects, plus this pile of remixes that people are still waiting for me to finish for them. Along with that I'm busy with graphic design, web design, and screenprinting my own line of t-shirts. It always seems like there's never enough hours in the day and that not enough gets completed in the end. But you'll never find yourself bored either. I say go for it if you want to do both. Just make sure you focus on getting projects completed so you're not bouncing back and forth between them to the point where nothing gets finished.
  8. I regret that Quoth had to witness a gimp when he came down to the club I was spinning at. Sorry, man. lol
  9. I'll be in the DJ booth at Shelter for the countdown. I know who I'd like to be there with me, but it probably ain't gonna happen, so fuck it, I'll just worry about playin beatz.
  10. I'm DJing at Shelter from 12-2 and 4-6. Since I start at midnite, I'm gonna time it out and drop Moby's "Thousand" on the Phazon there so the vox come in right after the countdown. Should be interesting if it works, then I'll be spinning techno, hardstyle and EBM for the rest of the night.
  11. Thanks. The logo for Subsurface is soon going to be changing, though. I just recently got a silkscreen press to make t-shirts, and I need a solid color design for the logo. Too many shades in the one I have now which won't work for printing t-shirts. I'm planning on, around mid-December, to get all of my new shit up and running. A whole new site with cds available by the current Subsurface collective as well as a couple of new DJs and producers, and a whole line of t-shirts available to let the world know what you really think about it. The best response I've gotten so far is the t-shirt I made that says "Society's lucky I don't own a gun". There's also going to be a Dräcos t-shirt that says "you are what they made you... make them regret it" on the back. Basically a whole line of "anti-everything" as I am utterly sick of all the bullshit out nowadays. 'True underground' for those that appreciate the trenches distanced from the mundane.
  12. I'm spinnin... Flamingo East... Yank... Anyhoo, I'll be playing synth-pop from 12-1, then from 2-4 I'll be playing some harder and darker shit (ie. hardstlye, techno/schranz, hardline EBM, etc). Best thing about our party is it's cheap. $5 if you're wearin all black, $10 if you're not. Hang out with a few hundred freaks if you're 21+.
  13. just more evidence why they shouldn't be allowed to breed in jersey
  14. if i remember right, the doozers were little green construction guys, and the fraggles used to eat those white supporting beams that the doozers used to build their shit.
  15. Anyone know if someone remixed Behind the Sun? This car was stopped at a light outside my building and blasting a remix of that track that's not on the record I have, so I was wondering who did it.
  16. Just what NYC needs. More fuckin DJs. Well good luck either way. And I don't see anything wrong with charging for your cds other than it's house music which people can hear anywhere. There have been quite a few nites where I've made more on sales of my mix cds than what I got paid by the promoters. Just make sure your shit's original.
  17. This is why each family should be restricted to having no more than two children. Fuckin Mormons are overpopulating the planet and shit, and soon there'll be no more resources to support us all. I'm completely fuckin broke, but I've got a silkscreen press at home, so everyone is getting homemade t-shirts. My best selling t-shirt I've made so far is the one that says "Society's lucky I don't own a gun". I'd love to see my mom wearing that. Plus they're all getting copies of my various cds. It's the thought that counts, right? hehe
  18. I know I'm not 'in' on the whole Exit scene and shit, but what the fuck is a goombada chief? Well you can tell "Jackie Botz" that he has a personal invite to the projects in Kweenz. Lemme find out how far his 'blade' reaches after we get done laughin at his bitchass name.
  19. I'm just searching on Soulseek and I'm on my third 40oz. right now. I hate this fuckin holiday...
  20. Yeah, they started that shit about a month ago. They actually fired me for about a month because they said my beatz were "too hardcore" for the space, then realized no one was coming out, so they brought me back in but started telling me what kind of music to play. They won't let us use the top floor anymore either because some fucknut next door keeps complaining about the crowd stompin to my shit and he keeps calling the cops. So now it's just me and DJ Mecca downstairs since they just fired the other DJ I've been spinning with for the past year, and the bullshit is 21+ now. I wish we could find a new space for that party, but that's easier said than done. So which goth bitch you talkin about?
  21. Yeah, I wanted to go see that shit but I'm broke as a mofo. Then this girl came over this week cause I'm designing her business cards for her. She sees one of my Joey Beltram records and is like "I'm friends with his brother, Jason". I'm like "No way. Joey Beltram's "Metro" was the very first piece of wax I ever bought" so she calls up Jason right there and he gets me, her, and her boyfriend all comped to the party and said he'd get Joey to sign my record for me as well as pass along one of my cds to him so he can check out some of my original tracks. Of course, I don't hear from this girl all day yesterday so I didn't make it out to the damn party. Fuckin weak.
  22. Yeah, that kid and I were getting around 40kbps between our connections for about four hours straight before I went to bed. I assume it stayed about the same while I was sleeping even though my dsl isn't all that stable all the time. And yes, donate to Soulseek. It's only $5 for 30 days which is an awesome deal if you use it. I've been donating for the past three months and usually don't have to wait more than ten or fifteen minutes for the download to start if it's remotely queued.
  23. I spent six years of my life doing that, and I can't say I miss it at all in the least.
