  1. Yeah, I heard Shelter was a really fun party on Saturdays for deep house. Not my kinda music, so I haven't been, but I heard the vibe was really cool there and the music was pretty tight.
  2. Get in touch with the labels that put out the shit you like, let them know where your DJ residency is at, how many people you play for every week, where you post your playlists, and alot of the labels will hook you up without you having to go thru payin for a DJ pool. And alot of the time for me, they'll hook me up with extra releases for promotional giveaways at the clubs I play at, also.
  3. I know I'm gonna lose my hardcore status for this, but I always liked Beauty & The Beast. Just something about that forboding castle covered in snow... plus I've always been at least a foot taller than all of my girlfriends, so I guess I'm kind of a beast...
  4. Statz... If you're 6'1" and only 210, then you're not as big as you're always trying to make yourself out to be. Keep liftin and downin that whey protein... I was 6'2" and 220ibs when I was 16 years old, and I'm a helluva lot bigger now. It's all about the Dorian Yates weight training philosophy... unless you're just tryin to get tight and shit to go strip like you were talkin about last time. If you wanna get huge, use a lotta weight, small reps for only a couple of sets, lotsa sleep and lotsa tunafish along with whey protein supplements. i mean... yeah boyeee gotta lift dem hevvy poundage to git hooj... lol... sorry... my illiterate ghetto typing is awful
  5. I'm DJing for a singles night party at Club Haven this Saturday up in Spanish Harlem. The flyer promotes it as a gay/lesbian party, but all are welcome. And I won't be spinning industrial or gabber for this one. More mainstream shit. I'll be covering the house/techno kinda stuff, and Lestat will be spinning the hip-hop/reggae kinda stuff.
  6. note to self: march 30 move to toronto

  10. Leo-O-Kee-Pa stretchin his boobies
  11. After spending a week out in WA state, I flew back into NYC a few hours before I was scheduled to DJ at FunHouse on Friday nite. Luckily I made it in time and dropped some techno-industrial madness down there til 4am. Saturday, Lukas Zpira (http://body-art.net) was back in town, and I was scheduled to DJ for his body-mods show. The other DJ ended up getting sick, so I ended up spinning six hours of gabba/hardstyle/techno/schranz/industrial/power-electronics while people were being suspended thru hooks in their skin, body scarification, and blood-letting. I'll post pics this week from the show if any of you are interested. Then tomorrow I'll be DJing til 6am for the NYE Fetish Ball at Shelter. Not as much blood as this last Saturday, but still enough twisted shit to see while I'm mixing some of the hardest shit you've ever heard. http://www.mastersteelow.com/New_Years_EVE_Fetish_Party2003.htm Subsurface... this is the fuckin underground... -Dräcos von Strecker on a side note... besides spinning at FunHouse every Friday, I'll be DJing for a "singles nite" at Club Haven up in Spanish Harlem on 1/11/03. PM me if you want the details.
  12. I used to work out constantly, was 220lbs and only 8% bodyfat, and one of my ex's always used to brag to her friends that I had an 8-pack stomach. Now I feel like I'm overweight, but I get approached by more women now than when I used to be in great shape. I agree with elementx that it has alot more to do with confidence, unless women are into long haired freaks with beer guts. I'm alot more outgoing and confident in myself now compared to what my personality used to be like when I worked out all the time, and it seems to be working well for me. Although I have been thinking about getting back into shape recently, but it's for a shitty reason. I want to rekindle a relationship with this one girl I dated. The whole time we were together I listened to her say how she likes skinny guys, and I'm nowhere near skinny, yet we were still dating. So I've been considering losing weight in the hopes that we'll get back together. Or maybe I'll just be an asshole, lose the weight, and then not give her the time of day.

    Babies...

Since I'm drunk and haven't slept since Thursday, plus I have to DJ tonite til 7am, I figured 'what the hell' and thought I'd post a pic of the baby my girl had on my b-day a couple months ago even though it's not mine. (those that remember my 'hating life' post) But anyway, me and her still get along. Turns out the baby is her ex's and that she was pregnant while her and I were together and she didn't realize it. (long story of medical problems and such. not gonna go into that now). So anyway, here's a pic of her and momma. Although me and momma don't really date anymore, I'm still absolutey in love with this kid. So here's a pic of her minus the goofy teeth pacifier...
  14. Those of you that are into VNV Nation type music will absolutely love this. This is the press release so far: NEW YORK CITY'S DJ REXX ARKANA TEAMS WITH TOP SCENE BANDS TO RELEASE DEBUT BRUDERSCHAFT PROJECT December 21, 2002 (New York, NY) - In what music industry insiders are already calling "the biggest industrial supergroup since Pigface" and "frontrunner for single of the year," New York City's DJ REXX ARKANA has teamed up with members of the dark electronic music scene's biggest acts to release his debut original music project, BRUDERSCHAFT. With a name most befitting the immensity of the project, BRUDERSCHAFT ("brotherhood") features REXX ARKANA (lyrics), SEBASTIAN KOMOR of ICON OF COIL (music), RONAN HARRIS of VNV NATION (lead vocals), STEPHAN GROTH of APOPTYGMA BERZERK (backing vocals) and JOAKIM MONTELIUS of COVENANT (loops). The first single from the band, "Forever," is a tribute to Arkana's father, whose death from cancer in 1999 was the inspiration for the song's emotionally powerful lyrics. "After my father passed away, I wrote the song in his name," Arkana informs. "I sent the lyrics to Ronan, who immediately offered his involvement in the project and the idea of BRUDERSCHAFT was born." Over the course of the next three years, the remaining members of BRUDERSCHAFT came together, each contributing their unique talent to the project. The end result is the "Forever" EP, already the most anticipated release of the coming year. In keeping with the song's original intent, all net profits from the sales of "Forever" will benefit cancer research and treatment. Look for the EP to be released on RazorBurn Records in 2003. For continuous updates on BRUDERSCHAFT and the "Forever" EP, log in to RazorBurn at www.run.to/razorburn. Not only am I excited about this release, but I've also been asked to contribute a remix for the cd. Rexx Arkana and myself will be working together on his remix, and then I'll have one of my own remixes on the album as well. After such a shitty year, 2003 already seems to be looking good.
