  1. ...turn me into such an idiot? I got a new gig tonite that doesn't fall on the same nite as any of my other gigs, so I picked up a lil' sumthin to celebrate (Aspen style) and have been doing it all nite since I got back home. I think I annoyed the hell out of my new roommate because I was rambling about nothing and everything while he was trying to play his GameCube, so I figured I'd give his ear a rest and log on here since it's been awhile since I've posted any of my mindless bullshit in awhile. Mainly because my dsl connection has been fucking up lately, and a guy is coming here today at noon to fix it, and I don't see myself getting any sleep in between now and then. Then I have to run some deliveries after the dsl guy leaves, and then I'm DJing tonite til 4am. Hopefully I can get some sleep after that, because tomorrow I need to work on this demo I'm producing for this rapper, then I'm DJing the entire nite for this other party in Brooklyn tomorrow nite. So like I said, why does this shit turn me into such an idiot, and why don't I realize that it'll fuck up my shit before I do it? Now I'm going to be a sleepless zombie all weekend just because I wanted to celebrate getting a new gig. Fuck, I'm retarded. They should put warning labels on the sides of the bags that'll warn you about all the wrong decisions you'll be making as soon as you first taste that shit dripping down the back of your throat. So go ahead people (if you've even bothered to read this nonsensical shit) and post replies of 'heretic909 is an idiot'. Like Jon Lovitz said in Little Nicky: I deserve this.
  2. I'm DJing the entire night for a party in Brooklyn this Saturday that's gonna be more insane than any other shit this weekend in all five buroughs. Gabba, hardline, and power electronics all mixed along with some hard and dark tribal beatz. But if you're not into watching twisted performers that are into blood-letting, body-modifications, or watching people suspend by their skin (like in The Cell), then you probably won't wanna check it out. Gotta have a strong stomach and be at least 35% clinically insane to endure this party. But if anyone is interested, shoot me an email at dracos@subsurfaceproductions.com

We're also putting together a 12 hour party at Pseudo in NYC for the 24th this month where DJ Vilhelm will be headling, spinning a three hour set. Info for this party will be up on the News & Events section of Subsurface soon.

  6. so i'm at the point where after 10+ years of djing, i'm getting sick of it and all the bullshit i deal with... but then after spinning a bullshit party tonite along with bullshit pay, i get home... got a couple of vanilla dutches with enough green happiness to fill'em both... a nice little fat bag of some *ayo... and a few bottles of smirnoff ice... getting to relax with these little pleasures while watching 'crouching tiger' on mute and while listening to 'pre-millenium tension' makes existence a helluva lot more bearable... ok, so i'm fuct up and just wrote this long-ass post, but then i sobered up enough for a second and realized that long posts suck and you all don't give a mad-ass fuk anyway, so i erased all the shit i've been typing for the past half hour. anyway, this is the end... right... now... if i can quite 'tarding out enough to quit typing which seems impossible right now... k... i'm really gonna try... hey, i need another dose of 'medicine' anyway... so here goes... press... submit... ugh, i can't do it... i just thought of the fact that i should mention that i get mad talkative and super-obnoxious when i'm in this state... so just a heads up....
  7. I originally was given the name back in Boston when I had bleached blonde hair and was really into powerlifting. I've got a little Russian in me, so my roommates started calling me Ivan Dragos from that Rocky 4 movie. I changed the 'g' to a 'c' because I was born in the year of the dragon, and Dracos is the name of the dragon constellation. But as for me, there's no Greek there, just German, Russian, and Danish... Yeah, I was spinning at that fetish party at Shelter for the past few months, but we're gonna be moving the party starting next week because of the hip-hop thugz that share Shelter with us that night. I'll have the info on the new location listed on the Subsurface website when we finally figure out where.
  8. The new Subsurface website is finally up at www.SubsurfaceProductions.com It has a 'weekly DJ mix' page where every week we'll have a different mix to stream from one of the DJs in the Subsurface legion This week's mix is a hardcore mix by Von Strecker Next week we'll have DJ Vilhelm's newest mix on there which is a blend of hardstyle and hammerhouse beatz So enjoy, and any feedback is appreciated -Dräcos www.SubsurfaceProductions.com also, I'll be spinning tonite at Jekyll and Hyde downtown, Shelter on Friday, and at Pseudo on Saturday... more info on these parties is on the 'news and events' page of the site

  10. It's not the fact that I'm playing at Shelter since I've been playing there every Friday night for a few months now. It's just that I could use the money if I went to spin that night. Ok, I just re-read your reply and it doesn't make sense. Neophyte is gonna be at Amazura performing, and that's the party I'm thinking about going to to give him my shit. Shelter is the bullshit party I do every week. Adam came by a couple times. It's a nice space at Shelter on the third floor with a bigger dancefloor than what we had, better lights, Phazon system. I think it's too big, though, for us since alot of our crowd quit coming since the same night we do our party, there's a hip-hop party downstairs. And the ghetto thugs from their shit haven't been all that polite to some of the freaks that come to our shit out on the sidewalk. Hopefully it'll get better. Haven't seen Dan in awhile. Maybe he doesn't want to deal with the hip-hop thugs either.
  11. about all the repeat posts. the shit wasn't going thru and i kept clickin it. please forgive. umm... what am i talkin about? i'm bigger than any of you. what i meant to say was deal with it or come over to kweenz to bitch about it up to my face. hehe lawd, i'm still fuct up. i wish i could sleep.
  12. I've finally got my screen printing press working so I can make t-shirts now, but the old Subsurface logo has alot of shades in it that'd be hard to do. (the logo below with the turntable, gas mask and skull). So I came up with this new design that I'm going to use to represent Subsurface, and it's a solid color design so it'll work better when making my t-shirts. A nice family-oriented design of a skull with a gas mask and headphones, and a nice wholesome upsidedown cross on the gas mask. My company deals mainly with techno-industrial, schranz, hardstyle, hammerhouse, gabba, power electronics, etc... so I though it'd be a good representation. Anyone bothering to read this bullshit post like the new design?
  13. Smokey, you still up? I didn't think about that. Anyone know the age limit for the Amazura show? I tend to get evil when I'm surround by mindless wannabe teen ravers. It probably wouldn't look too good if I try handing Neophyte my cds if I've got candy raver guts on the bottom of my paratrooper boots.
  14. That's one thing I noticed about NYC when I first moved down here, was that there was quite a few more older people still clubbing regularly than I saw in other cities. I think it's cool, and I hope I still have it in me to get out when I'm that age if I'm still alive. I just can't see myself staying at home and playing cards or some shit with the other people in the neighborhood my age like what you see. My ex-gf's mom still comes out to the parties I DJ at even though she's in her 40s cause she really digs my music and she likes the people in the scene I play for. That's when you know clubbing is just in your blood. Personally, I'm just 26 and I feel like I'm too old to go "nature-raving" like I used to, but I don't think the club environment will ever fade outta my life. Just something that was installed into our DNA I guess. Even though I'm making money when I'm out, I'd probably still be going out even if I wasn't. But then, maybe it's just our distaste for daylight. I dunno. I'm rambling now since I just got done DJing last night and I'm still to wired to sleep. Thank god there's CP so I can come on here and post total 'afterhours' bullshit and not feel like I'm the only one in this kinda mindstate.
  15. There's that big ass gabba party at Amazura next Friday that I'd really like to go to, but I'm DJing at Shelter that night. Either way, Neophyte is performing who is a producer I really respect, and I'd really like to personally give him a couple of my original hardcore tracks to see if he'd be interested in them. So should I try to find a replacement for me at Shelter and go, or should I just go DJ since I really need the money anyway? I can get comped into the Amazura party, so it wouldn't cost me anything, but then who's to say I'd be able to get in contact with Neophyte anyway and pass my cds along to him? I've got two tracks I think he'd really be interested in, but who's to say? So pros: I wouldn't have to pay to get into the party And I might be able to meet Neophyte and pass him my cds Cons: I'd be making money if I just went to DJ at Shelter I might not be able to meet Neophyte anyway What should I do? I know I'll probably be able to come up with the answer myself sometime later today since I DJ'd last night and still haven't slept yet, so I'm assuming that my brain isn't functioning at its best right now anyway. But since I can't sleep and I'm still fucked up, I figured posting this shit would be a good way to kill some time and maybe get some feedback that I might actually listen to. As far as the tracks I've got that I think he might be interested in, one of them is a track around 160bpm where I did a hardcore version of "Ave Satani" from the Omen soundtrack. Kind of evil choral shit like O Fortuna, but I've never heard anyone mess with Ave Satani before, so I thought it might be something cool and different. The other track, I sampled the pipe organ solo from the intro of King Diamond's "The Candle" and then based the track around that. Hardcore around 150bpm with alot of interesting sound design for the kick, and a couple of Hellraiser samples thrown in around the main stab lead, along with some samples of marching war drum snares that fill out the ominous feel to the beat. Anyway, I've probably typed way too much, but I'm too wired right now to realize it, so I guess I'll just post this shit and try to shut the hell up.
  16. 63,829 on my first try, and I've been drinkin tonite... buncha pissin-on-the-toilet-seat cocksmokers
  17. The producer for Traedonya's "Beloved" track from her upcoming cd 'Elemental Change' commissioned me to do a deep house remix of that single for the vinyl release. Although I'm not really into that style (more into the harder shit) this remix has filled out amazingly. In the process, I came up with another idea for a bassline for another remix of the track. I don't know whether it's just the money that inspired me, or maybe I'm (hopefully not) getting softer in my old age. Either way, it's a personal surprise that I could produce a quality mix below 130bpm since I'm usually DJing gabba, hardstyle and schranz. The most difficult thing about this gig is coming up with another alias (different from the eight other names I'm already using) to list for the producer credits on this remix. Any suggestions for a deep house alias for a German producer that usually is delving into the evil shit?
  18. saw this asian girl after i played a gig in philly. she had this sorta dragon/serpent tattoo almost three feet long going down the right side of her torso down past her hips. was absolutely beautiful in my opinion, and all i could think about was sinking my teeth into that spot above her hips...
  19. It happens. I used to be in a band with some of the guys from the Murderdolls, and one night we completely wrote a song from scratch and had it recorded within six hours, and it's still one of my fav tunes we did. But some of our other tracks took us a few weeks to fill out. I've never found an exact formula for writing tunes. Sometimes ya just go with the flow and amazing shit happens.
  20. depends on what you call a job a quote i remember goes something like: "better to fail at something you love than to succeed at something you hate" i'm broke a lot, but i just got commissioned to do a new remix that'll pay off quite a few bills for only a week's worth of work... this remix plus a couple of other remixes i'm working on along with my djing will cover me for awhile, but there's never any security in this biz, so sometimes it gets tough. gotta have love for what you do, though...
