thats funny, thats exactly what I was thinking!!! not cool at all from a clubgoer standpoint, it seemed he had no interaction with the crowd:( The sound in there is not good IMO, sounded distorted even at the levels they played at on friday... also the folks that run those parties need to reconsider their approach to lighting... I mean you are playing in an old school gothic church, the old Limelight, i mean lets get serious here - turn down those damn lights! and that moveable lighting system is ridiculous...

not impressed at all... the place will go under if they dont make some big changes fast

my friend spins mostly with cd's and is more than satisfied with the cd players he has, i think pioneers... he's got like 3x as many trax as me cause he doesnt pay for them! (although this might change in the future)... personally I am a purist, vinyl only I'm sure I'll sway in the future though somewhat

I think we are missing the point a bit, here. I have no doubt that when Danny plays in Ibiza, it is absolutely mind blowing, the crowd, the vibe, and most of all the craziness he brings doing his thing... however, we are the most lucky club-goers in the whole world to have Danny here spinning in NYC (almost) every week! And to say he is just ho-hum is a bit misleading... I grant you he is not always 'mind-blowing', and at Arc nowadays the experience is hit or miss. But when he wants to bring it, even at his weekly residency, he can blow the f*cking roof off the place. Case in point: he stops by Arc on his way up to Montreal to a packed house at Arc and has the entire place dancing and going nuts for 2 hours... dark, twisted tribal, ripped the shit out of a remix of Deeper, lights perfectly in synch, lots of fog at appropriate times - granted, no marathon, but take into account the man was on his way to Montreal and still had it in him to stop by and play for the local crowd at his weekly residency! And the last time he played with S+P was a night to remember as well, not as crowded but a great party nonetheless. To wish Danny would play out of NY more often would be to deprive us of what we are so lucky to have here in NY... A world-class weekly resident that actually has his shit together, and cares about his fans and humanity on top of it all! Personally I cherish those memories of the great times I had at Vinyl, and love it when it feels like that in there once again... and all thanks to the man we are so lucky to have as a weekly resident here in NYC... That being said, I wish I could make it to Ibiza this friday... gonna be siccccckkkkkkkkkk

whats the cover tonight?

I surf as often as possible... The past few weeks have been fantastic surf-wise... I just got out of the water today, out here in Eastern LI its head high to maybe a few feet overhead on the sets, becoming more semi-chopped out as Isabel approaches with stronger winds... tomorrow is likely to be a washout, unless you can find a sheltered break. My next day out is likely to be saturday afternoon, as the winds go more offshore (I fear we wont have too much left by then ) oh and no pictures plz, thanks alot

point taken;) btw shroomy how is FL holding up with this Isabel swell? any power showing up at the breaks yet down there? Fabian brought some mackers up to Montauk last week...

Xanax can be fun in the right setting with people you trust... but keep yourselves out of trouble, avoid drinking and xanax... the synergistic effects of the two can cause respiratory depression, causing you to stop breathing! and thats not a good thing for anyone to be doing

I will have to agree with those of you all who thought dt on sunday was a SUPERB party... a bit of a sparse crowd towards the end which was fine... but a sick bout of TECH HOUSE that had that place on fire for a good hour to hour-and-a-half. Met some very cool people, and chilled with the usual suspects, of course and when danny came in the back room for a few minutes, what did you expect, a crowd to gather around as if he were some sort of prophet? nah, aint gonna happen! he's just another guy at the party, and it was just a cool thing for him to do... and i was at the friday party as well, and paying the extra money for the sunday party made all the difference in the world. dt earned every cent on sunday

i would actually want to hit this up today, but i just dont think i can bring myself to drop $50 just to walk in the place...

a great party was definately in effect while i was there... had to leave early to get to work, but it was well worth hearing danny, and just as worth it hearing DJ Divine open!

tenaglia @ cpi turned me off of that place for good. not my scene at all... i thought factory was bad with juicers... factory's like a rave compared to cpi

thats wrong. HCl lowers the pH, NaOH raises the pH. Acetic acid (in vinegar) has H+ ions to lower pH... and yes, G is a stupid drug

when i said 'the club' i should have said 'arc'... but thats weird that smokings not yet illegal in suffolk county bars/clubs... the 'no smoking inside arc' situation has vastly improved that club for most people, i believe.

smoking in the club is now illegal, rather than have the club close, let him shine his light on those doing illegal activities... oh and btw, in the incident i believe you are referring to, the guy who he shined his light on was smoking WEED, not a cigarette. Anyone doing that should be booted from the club:eek:

whenever dt plays somewhere else, it seems to be a TOTALLY different night than Arc/Vinyl... usually he'll be just droppin bombs and classics the whole time. besides the 'packed factor' of Brazil last year, that night was an absolute blast!

there is a "pride" event going on after danny finishes at 4pm sunday... i would say for more "bang for your buck," go on saturday night/sunday morning... if you've never been on a friday, sat/sun may suit your tastes more... hoping to get out tonight:)
