  1. YES!!!! But the breaks set was too short! Only like 3 songs... By that point I couldn't move any more. I was just sitting on the stage against the corner pillar taking it all in. I couldn't believe how much the crowd was into it, every song, all night! I'll be looking for CP peeps on the 13th...
  2. great....I think i'm still recovering from his last two appearances at Vinyl. Can't wait!!
  3. I agree. Probably the best night I've ever had at Vinyl. The crowd was into every minute of it. I especially liked the sweet (but short) breakbeat set he busted out at like 7am.
  4. All I can say is WOW. He absolutely tore it up. If anyone got to see him on 7/3 I think this was even better. I would have stayed till closing but I was dragged out of there by my tired friend at 9am. Does anyone know how long he stayed on till?
  5. Wow it's all so clear now. Fortunately I'm not one of those people that goes out looking to hook up, but I can see your point. I was never really into going home with strangers who are cracked out on drugs but maybe that's something I should look into. Thanks for the great advice!
  6. Ahhh...corrupt youth sports. It's the adults that will do anything -- including manipulate children -- for a winning team. With an arm like that, why didn't they put him in a Pony League or a Babe Ruth League? He would probably be pretty good against kids his age. Everyone knew about it. The league should be stripped of its 3rd place title. And their charter should be revoked. You gotta start somewhere if you want to teach a lesson, no? OH MY GOD...I am turning into Rudy Giuliani...someone stop me before it's too late!
  7. real big surprise gee, he's 6 inches taller and throws 20mph harder than all the other kids. It was funny all along watching family, friends, and league officials deny the charges, and now it's funny to see the press conference where everyone tries to cover the egg on their faces. Sadly, this is nothing new to Little League sports....
  8. Yes...EVERYONE should read phunk's E-tardism post. It's one of the most well researched pieces of information I've ever seen on the subject. props to you, phuturephunk
  9. sure, why not. Just put them in a CD case (with or without a CD) in a bubble envelope. Slap on 2 or 3 stamps, leave no return address, and there you go... If it somehow gets opened en route there's no way to trace where it's from.
  10. it makes sense that if you wreck yourself in any way over the weekend you'll feel like shit in many ways come Monday morning, whether it's physical or mental. Sometimes it's illness, sometimes it's regret that you feel. Pills aren't the only thing that cause depression. Is it just me or as the summer comes to an end more and more people (including myself) have been posting about how the stuff they've done over the past months is starting to takes its toll on them?
  11. heh, of course, though I've experienced PRD just about every time since the first time. So yeah, if you don't want the side effects, don't do it. But some people I know never get it, so I guess it's a variable thing...
  12. I'm not understanding how people are saying Vinyl is that crowded. By the time DT starts really getting good it's like 5am and the place is already starting to thin out a little. Besides that, there's usually a decent amount of room on the small stages.
  13. You might want to take a closer look at people next time. S'all good though. Vinyl is a great party every time.
  14. hmmm...more good reviews than bad...I might have to check it out. What's the dresscode like? Are tracks/sneaks/tees OK?
  15. He's spinning Thursday night. Anyone seen him live before?
  16. i was there last night (from what I've been told)...i met a lot of people too, but I don't think you were one of them. I was wearing a "BROOKLYN" cutoff tee.
  17. there are plenty of fancy places to go in the city. I like to think of Vinyl as a great house party in someone's basement. All that's missing is paper streamers, balloons, and a pool table.
  18. Yeah I was there last night too (i think)...DT rips it up every time. I don't see how they can invest more money into the place, seeing that aside from admission and the sale of water, do they really make any money at all?
  19. Yeah you can STOP rolling, or at least take a break from it. And you shouldn't worry about what all your friends do. I know it's hard not to, cause it's so damn fun. But seriously, if you're about to lose someone because of it, you need to decide what is more important...rolling or that someone. But I feel what you're saying, as i just went through some really bad PRD combined with the already stressful/anxious situation of starting a new relationship with someone. It was torture. Do the right thing...
  20. mane, you're right. Of course the best thing for people to do is to stop using drugs. However, seeing that throughout history the "just say no" approach has failed, it's probably best that we offer useful advice for people who insist on using drugs. By preaching the evils of E on a substances board, you're bound to be ignored.... i mean, so long as people aren't ABUSING drugs, then aren't most things in life OK in moderation?
  21. hell yeah...there's nothing better than a BBQ the next day. I assume the reason why you're so hungry is cause of the amount of exercise you got the night before. But the days after that, the PR-depression days, I find that I have hardly any appetite at all.
  22. yeah, sometimes it's just best to hole yourself away for a day or two afterwards. I almost messed up a perfect relationship a couple days after I last rolled because of the paranoia and depression. Not to mention that I feel like I'm dumb as a rock for a few days after... Sometimes I find it helps to just chill out and listen to some of the same kind of music that you heard while you were last rolling. Helps bring the happiness level up.
  23. nope...drugs tend to do bad things to people...
  24. takes a big man to admit losing it in front of his boy...i hear ya papi on my flight home i was on jetBlue (where everyone gets their own TV) and I was watching this show on Animal Planet where they were rescuing tiny puppies from a drain pipe. You can imagine how I felt then! I nearly lost it
