basically its like this-- cards were given out, then a bunch were stolen. So what started out as the Roxy doing a favor for the peeps on Clubplanet turned into having non-cp people use the cards. The other problem was that some CP people would sit on here and talk shit 24/7 about roxy but then come down and use their card and get in for free. Honestly, if u sat around all day telling me i had a shitty house and i was a shitty dj and a shitty cook, I wouldn't let u into my house for free either. It makes sense when u think about it. to end all the drama now-- Danny spun on KTU sunday morning from 5-7 am. Wish i heard his set. He also will be opening for Vicious (which is what was promised from the outset of the contest) at a future date. please no more drama on this subject!! We're only 1 day away!!!! so this friday it finally goes down... Friday, September 6th, 2002-----> The first time I played a moin floor in NYC it was a one hour shot to show everyone how I get down. Although I came in 2nd place, between the set i played and the MASSIVE SUPPORT you guys and girls showed, I'm so excited to say I'Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Baaaaaaaaaaackkkkkkkkk So u can treat this as a roll call or whatever is clever...I really hope as many of you can make it out this friday as possible. You guys never let me down. Mike Rizzo and Justin Higgins will also be spinning so the muzik will be on point all night 4 sure... I'm playing the middle set--and if all goes as planned, this will be a sort of farewell party for roxy, b/c once the roof is blown off and the walls fall in, there wont be much left when im done. i arrived at 9 after getting stamped at 6....stayed till close. Closing song was actually denny's edit of angie stone with the kim english acapella blended in--then after the chants of one more song--he gave us a bit of safe from harm... denny's speech at the end was classic, thanking tempts for the summer that flew by--but he also said, "let the haters keep hating cuz they dont know--and let the people with the huge keyboard muscles talk all the shit they want!" After the vibe i saw in that room last nite--he's 100 percent correct. Amazing Amazing nite for me... 12-2 the broadcast he started with That look, did Dark Beat with fired up (he ripped it a lil better on saturday but still), Reina, Neurotic Jock (a new jam) and a bunch of other thangs but AFTER the broadcast he slammed sick classics...Kiss, Dammit Joe Arminio, Baby Wants to Ride (same mix i did at roxy-- Angel, Folker, Whitney, a bunch others..before the broadcast he ripped LIZARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD and Just Feel free...i was goin berzerrrkkkk... Nice meeting everyone from CP, cosmicgate22 (thanks for the drink), java, pipdaddy, brian1500, and the usual suspects, Joe, Shonette, BMDubb Jay (thanks for pointing out that 10 in my wallet to me) Binoy and the whooooollleeee crew... The water fight was awesome. The whole nite was awesome. I had to shake denny's hand after that performance and he offered me some advice. Class act and amazing DJ. When does tempts open again???
