  4. probably b/c they realized that hip hop isnt cutting it and b/c they are returning to a dance music theme and renaming the club 610 in the new year, Im guessing they decided to let it die down until NYE thats only a guess tho...I dont have any 'reliable sources'

  7. oh man, I figured get down there, nice day to relax before the craziness starts up on saturday, but nooooooooooo PVD @ space....let's see if he can match last years 6 encores...
  8. Is what he has said on his board... BUT he will be doing something he says with some other DJ's as well...
  9. i had a great time....and johnny seemed to have the best time out of everybody. Good seeing some of the roxy crew in there as well as SOOO many industry heads... Best sets of the nite i think came from Tsettos, Santana and then DJ MANOLO from boston who i had never heard before...Big man threw it down-- Jasmine St Claire was really hot...The bday cake and celebration was awesome. If i have one-tenth of the fun at my bday party in january that johnny had at his friday, I will be a happy man thanks Bobby G and Johnny for a dope friday night! Mike
  10. actually i tend to disagree. I think pre-tickets (as far as the PVD deal, NOT as far as making DJ's sell tickets to get spots to play--that i am VERY opposed to) but as far as big events where you know you are going to be dealing with near-capacity numbers, esp with the tragedies that happened in Chi and RI with clubs being overpacked, advanced ticks are a good way to make sure you keep your numbers correct. Plus i think it lets the true fans of that dj grab ticks in advance kinda. As far as "sorry you're not on the list" deals killing NYC, i actually until last nite havent seen that at all in the city for a while and i am GLAD to see it back. I LOVE the fact that this club has attitude like that...NYC needs this kick in the ass. Of course, after a month or so Im sure it will die down a bit as the hype does and everyone will get a chance to experience crobar.....but again, I see this helping and not hurting the scene...
  11. i knew that was how it was gonna be-- NY has been awaiting this new superclub for years now and on opening weekend it was definitely gonna be like that doors were actually open early so theres no doubt it was filled already by the time you got there... dont worry, it will calm down and we will all get a chance to check out this marvel of a club...

  16. im definitely looking foward to this evening. I've got a lot of my close friends coming down to celebrate the holidays... Now i just gotta get thru exams
  17. actually, i just put down my LAW SCHOOL books and im a 3L at Pace... and the point of my post was that it probably didnt really exist, BUT the town could still have passed that law--now would that law withstand strict scrutiny on appeal? Maybe not. But i wouldnt necessarily shoot it down. When they passed the law in Colorado pertaining to having no guys living in the same house together that werent related (which was really to prohibit homosexual relations) they used a 'false' purpose. I'm sure the town would come up with some kind of excuse if they wanted to pass the law. But again, it might not survive scrutiny. I did misspeak when i said its not illegal per se...what i meant to tell brian was 'hold on a minute they still may do something here' and i know per se is differnt maybe ur a lawyer maybe ur not and u definitely know more than i do if u are, but all that i've said is accurate. I have actually raised this argument in class before (which is why i posted) and have done well, so maybe u dont agree with me, but my professor who grade me do, and thats all i care about Mike
  18. mikey neither do most of the parties that go on down there... badges mean nothing anymore
