No i wasnt involved with Muzik fridays--The vibe was getting better as were the dj's, but all I was saying is i felt the SECURITY problems kinda started during that promotion....I'm more of a clubber than anything, so my opinion there is coming straight from experience, waiting on line for 45 mins to come inside and get attacked by security guards b/c i rolled my eyes when they asked me to take my shoes off.... Theres info about things goin on that cant be posted on a public message board but just know that Evolution has taken a few steps that Muzik fridays didnt (not b/c its better or anything but simply b/c David is allowing them to when im sure Muzik wudda but he didnt let them then) Foxxy u kno im not belitling you here, i respect your opinion, I think you just misunderstood me. im not gonna sit here and argue about denny and richie being cheese b/c i dont think they are and u aint changin my mind like im not changin yours But you pose a good point and i'd love to see that also. But the fact is, even though you feel they dont go for particular dj's, they really do. There will be a much bigger influx of NJ heads in exit this friday b/c of richie and next week cuz of denny. Vicious week at roxy i see a lot of the same people that I dont see there every other week. But even if u did WEEK 1- Roger Sanchez, WEEK 2- Superchumbo, Week 3-Ashley Casselle, Im sorry but the majority of that crowd will stop coming--you assume "and still maintain the big crowd"-- I would love to see it as much as you but its not a reality, it wouldnt happen. As for the Muzik fridays, everytime I went there was no vibe and no effort to help that, and as I remember correctly, the security problems I had actually BEGAN at muzik fridays.... whatever, we could argue for days over this and we actually have. The point is, everyone on clubplanet thinks they can run a nightclub (secretly i think we all want to) Some people have been behind the scenes and understand how it goes down. Then you ALL know the uphill battle this Evolution team faces. Its like turning a crack shack into a community center. When Roxy reopened, how did they work it...Mike Rizzo, Denny tsettos, Jason Ojeda...everyone was crying and moaning--Someone even said something about 'disgracing the phazon' But those guys rocked it and they began a nice vibe in there--- Later the big names followed.... So what? EVOLUTION'S grand opening doesnt quite look like a Gatecrasher lineup? Rome was not built in a day. Exit is so fucked up backwards right now you cant expect it to be fixed that quickly-- Bringin in Int'l guys from the start would build an event crowd--meaning they'd only show on the nights the big names were there--no base crowd = no one showing up when int'l dj's arent there.... so you say--"then have int'l dj's every week" How the FUCK are WE (us dj's) supposed to catch up with these Int'l GODS when even our own superclub in the most recognized city in the us doesnt support its own....ya 'stand me? Look at it this way--They want a new crowd in there. One that isnt as drugged out, one that spends money on drinks, one that likes good music, one that is good looking. Jason, Richie and Denny seem to attract this kind of following....they do it week in and week out in NJ and LI...promoters need sure things for the beginning of a party, they are taking the sure thing--it makes sense, not to mention the fact these guys can throw down.... my fault is misphrased what i meant... I meant the fact that getting quality dj's in the side rooms is better than what they have now. When i said mp3 dj's i meant that the dj's in exit side rooms now on any given night have zero experience and trainwreck left and right.... While i will always respect a dj who uses vinyl more than any dj who doesnt touch vinyl, I agree with your point of making the crowd move-- but in my arg i meant that b/c i dunno if u know this but there are many dj's who spin the red or white room who dont even own dj equipment and the most practice they've had is on mixmiester...THAT i feel has to go-- in my opinion Mike Bugout

First off, those dj's listed are a wide range of different styles Second, God forbid a local dj on his way up gets some support. "precious"? WTF Third, He never said Rocksteady sucks b/c he doesnt suck. he just said he didnt like the music he was playing. Last I checked, saying that you dont like someones music wasn't elitist...it was free speech... i agree maybe it would be better to point out good pts about the mix instead of bad, but its not like we were discussing his mix in general, he just mentioned how the music changed and that he felt what came on sucked...maybe elitemess and rocksteady should talk behind the scenes....u guys take Roninmess wayyyyy too seriously Merry Christmas, I can feel the holiday cheer all over this board!!! very well said... it honestly is a no-win situation, so there has to be a balence.... hating on dj's such as denny and ojeda and santana is just silly...comparing them to guys like picotto or tiesto is apples and oranges...they spin different tracks, different styles... I'll agree with Bob about the 'plane ticket theory'. It really sucks. For a while I've wanted to make a trance mix and mislable is as Tiesto @ "Insert Int'l Club here" on "date" and send it around just to see the reaction it gets.... Im not saying these guys arent awesome but people gotta understand that DJ's from over can rock just like DJs over there do. I would bet that EVERYONE here has a DJ that was NOT listed in DJ Mag's top 100 dj list this year that they feel should be listed....does that mean they are bad? Bob is fighting an uphill battle over there but i'll support him 100%. Im all about free speech and having your opinion, but in this case, by sitting back and hating, nothing is going to change. Will you see a difference this friday? Maybe a small one but nothing major--Give it TIME. Come support the guys on the main floor, or come check out some of the guys in the side rooms....Me and Bob have spoke about bringin quality as A WHOLE to exit...no more mp3 dj's in side rooms who dont use ONE record all night-- Quality DJ's in EVERY ROOM--that way if ur not feelin the main floor, you may enjoy the red room or white room or another room... And anyone who posts on here knows i was one of the LOUDEST voices crying for this building to be burnt down--- but now that the right people are in place to make changes, that attitude wont help anything--so come down and check the party out....see for yourself...
