  1. no matter how great the scene was in your time, there was always a better scene before you and there will be better scenes after u. stop playing it like a whole race ruined it for u. shutup & dance.
  2. if u posted just this^, i'm sure people would list a bunch of races...not just asian. and you're theory about this drugged out bad dancers only happeneing in nyc. get a clue - drugs and music have always been relativly synonomous w/each other, internationally & domestically.
  3. look, i'm not trying to be mean but i really disagree w/u. & i believe ur attitutde isn't helping the 'situational problem' that u feel strongly about. never take anything on this board seriously. so does your response mean that you don't mingle w/non-asians? b/c if thats the case, you are missing out on alot of life experiences, different views, etc. A) don't use the word 'we' like you represent people. just speak for yourself okay? where u were born has nothing to do w/who u are as a person. and from your 1st statment above, imo, u dont have an open mind. C) no, it takes 2 people to make a conversation. but it only takes one person to start one. instead of worrying or complaining about things u cannot control. worry about yourself. "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you"
  4. i agree w/ChinaDoll - u totally should not have the mindset that u are the outsider, cause then u will be. Also, its a 2-way street - have u ever thought about talking to non-asians? and i believe ChinaDoll is acutally a male.
  5. wtf kind of statement is that? i disagree again. FOBs - their culture is different. If they wanna holds hands, go ahead...doesn't bother me.
  6. i totally disagree. i am american and i feel american. i may look asian to others, but i dont think thats a bad thing. it just so happens that my best friends are white, but i hang out w/asians all the time. many of my white frineds have gone to 'asian' parties and vice versa. i think the trick is to not make it a big deal. my friends think of it as - going out and partying - and not 'will i be an outcast there?' i dont feel like an outsider at all. whatever, u should all just embrace what u got. stereotypes are so yesterday
  7. there were a bunch of asians at Roxy b/c there was a promotional team that targeted them and got them to come out. i'm sure there were also a group of russians, italians, etc that follow other promotional teams. it just so happens that u noticed the asians b/c they were easier to spot. i think people just need to relax and stop putting an emphasis on this topic in general.
  8. apprently not revolutionary enough. i got it from sportillustrated.com

His status as heavyweight champion of the world didn't stop him from being a voice for civil rights, a staunch protestor of the Vietnam War and a spokesperson for the Nation of Islam. And he was a brilliant boxer who brought new life into the sport when it desperately needed it. His remarkable strength of character inspired a generation and changed notions of what impact an athlete could have on society.
  12. LOL, seriously, people need to relax. anwyay, this w/end - out of nowhere, this girl starts yelling at me and my friend "im going to kick your ass." We both didn't know who she was specifically talking to. I was rocked too, so I had no idea what was going on. But before I got a word in, the bouncers showed her the door. what a lame ass.

  21. There was once a man and woman who had been married for more than 60 years. They had shared everything. They had talked about everything. They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about. For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she would not recover. In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoe box and took it to his wife's bedside. She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the box. When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totaling $25,000. He asked her about the contents. "When we were to be married," she said, "my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll." The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with happiness. "Honey," he said, "that explains the dolls, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?" "Oh," she said, "that's the money I made from selling the dolls.
