  1. I've seen most of the dj's i have any desire to see,my faves vary depending on who i've been seeing regular. Out of the dj's i've seen regular Tiesto has always been my fave but the 2 times i've seen him this year he has disapointed me cos he been a bit to proggressive for my tastes. At the moment i'm really liking Armin Van Buuren,in my eyes he is this years Tiesto. I have to mention Picotto even though i've been going off him recently.I hadn't seen him 15 months ago but i've seen him 10 times now including 5x 6hr sets. It's an experience if nothing else he really knows how to work a crowd. My other fave is Matt Hardwick, never seen him do a bad set.He can play anywhere warmup, last set but never fails to deliver. If you like Trance download his essential mix from earlier this year it was really good. I've actuallly found it quite dificult to post my faves cos there are loads of dj's i've seen who i love and always deliver quality sets. Who are your faves?
  2. If it's the first time you have either seen or heard of him he will blow your mind.I've been getting a bit bored of him recently cos i've been seeing him do extended sets and they get a bit tiresome but i saw him do a shorter set at GKGG last week and i was going fucking crazy.
  3. Cool,i saw Armin & Lashes last week at@a festival and Armin played the best set of the night imo. Stange about Amnesia though cos the night they are all raving about over here is PVD & Tiesto @Cream.Everyone who's been says it's unbelievable, did you get to that one?
  4. Look like you went to the nights i would have liked,Armin@GK and is that Lashes@Slinky.
  5. It was Les Hemstock who was playing the trance,Fergie played the harder stuff before and after him.
  6. Did you hear the Dave Clarke mix which PVD dropped in his essential mix? Quality tune, hear the crowd go nuts when the riff kicks in.
  7. Nah not that regular especially not in London which until recently didn't have that much trance at all. Think i might be attending this one,but Gatecrashers birthday is in the same month so if i can't get the money toghether for both it will probably be Crasher i go to.
  8. Yeah i've been doing them 3 years and every single time i've ever done it i've been sick. It's just like you say about 1/2 hour after dropping when you start to come up on it,after that i'm fine.
  9. Yeah seems to me the house scene is good but the rest is shit.I would love to come over and let you show me your idea of a good club but to be honest there is no need cos i've been to one, loads of fucking times.I think its you who needs to come over and see what a real club is like and at the same time get your head out from up your arse and get rid of your "US is best" mentality, when you have no clue.
  10. Ministry doesn't really play trance either only once a month at the Golden residency. They just recently changed the policy but it was US house and garage there for the last 3 years.
  11. Happens to me everytime i've done pills, exactly how you describe it.Think it must be and subconscious fear of taking pills or something, cos i'm always alright after about an hour in the club.
  12. I have an article in the April edition of Mixmag, sounds like the same thing,it says:- Not much is known about headshocks, but to many pills and too little sleep can combine to produce a traumatic comedown after extreme clubbing sessions. It feels like an electric shock to the head, with roaring in the ears and blurred vision. The effects have never been studied before, but now some nuurologists think they could be scarier than clubbers had imagined. So what are headshocks? "These sound like an epiliptic phenomenon.Too many drugs and too little sleep lowers the seizure threshold in the brain and some people have grand mal seizures (a serious form of epilepsy) after too many stimulants. But there are all sorts of epileptic-type phenomena, that don't involve actual seizures but are more like what these clubbers are desribing. It's difficult to know if these episodes cause damage in the long term, but there are certainly grounds for concern." Dr Karl Jansen,MD,PHD,MRCPsych It then go's on to qoute the experiences of 5 people who suffer from it. End of the day if this kind of shit is happening to her,i think it's time to pack it in,it's good but it aint that good.I went to Global Gathering on Saturday and i saw a few people drop having seizures and it's not fucking nice to see.
  13. It was live on Galaxy FM between 6pm and 2am,i doubt they let radio 1 record any of it.This will mean that the recorded sets will be full of adverts.
  14. I see thing a little different to Erik cos i pefer the uplifting/harder side of procedings so here go's. Got there about 5pm after 6-7 hrs travel ready to go,spent the first hour having a look around the tents seeing where it was all happening. At 6pm went in to see John 'OO' Flemming who was already blasting out some sublime uplifting trance, just what the doctor ordered. It was the second time i had seen him and i must say he has never failed to impress me,after his set Tall Pall came on so i left to have a look around. Ended up in the Gallery arena watching Signum play, this was@7:30 and they were playing really hard this was the 3rd time i had seen them and they were much better than the times i have seen them before, ended there set with "The Prophet" which is always a big fave with me. At this point i met up with Mareluna, great to meet you btw and Over the next 4 hrs i was moving between Tiesto,Oakenfold and Anne Savage, i must say what i saw of Tiesto was quite poor,he's one of my biggest faves but was a bit of a let down. The same cannot be said for Oakenfold who was a big suprise to me,i've seen him before but have never liked any of his sets,i was chilling on the grass for a lot of his set but you could hear the epic trance loud and clear.Checked out Anne Savage in the Sunndissential arena she was playing hard as hell and i loved it,the atmos at the Hardhouse arena is always one of the best and this was no different it was bouncing in there. This is where i start to disagree with Erik cos Armin was fucking amazing,he played Cafe Del Marco,The Prophet to name but a few and was mine and many other peoples faveourite dj on the night.Fergie was on after and i only heard the first few tracks but i was'nt that impressed with what i heard, take a hint Fergie go back to the hardhouse.During Fergie's set i met Erik and Mareluna to open my mind to some new styles and checked out some of Satoshie Tomie's set but@2:30am it was'nt my thing so i went to see Lisa Lashes rip a hole in the Sunnid arena, the place was bursting@ the seams, unbelievable atmosphere, shame i couldn't get the visitors (Erik and Daneila) to sample it. After this we went to see Picotto, awesome set built it up with some slow stuff for the first 1/2 hour then banged it out for the last hour.Went absolutely mental when he dropped the Picotto classic 'Taub',my fave tune by him. After Picotto Jules came on and i totally disagree that he couldn't carry on the energy of Picotto, heard the first few track he played before heading on over to Kitikonti who i was'nt really feelin so i headed back over to the GK arean to catch the last hour of Jules set. That is why i disagree with Erik cos the arena was jumping to a typical hard Jules set.I was stood at the back looking around and i couldn't understand why a dj who no one will admit to liking had the crowd going mental, there was hadly a soul not dancing,he did play some tunes i would rather he hadn't but on the whole it was a good set. Then came one of my fave set of the night, personally i love the last set of a festival to be hard trance and Scott Project delivered the most unbelievable set,to me there is nothing like trance in a big arean it was a truly awesome end to and awesome event. ROLL ON CREAMFIELDS
  15. I'm gonna wander round them all for the first hour then the seriuos business starts. I'm gonna mostly be in the GK one (of course) but i want to see Lisa Lashes and Anne Savage in the Sunnid one and there are quite a few in the gallery one i want to see. If the times are correct the first dj i will not miss will be Tiesto and i'm sure you will be there to so i will drop you a line around the time. See you tommorow.
  16. The guy wants help on good clubs, not shit ones mate.
  17. You don't need to be a fan of Oakie to enjoy this one, there is already a buzz building around this event. It's Oakie's first gig at Heaven since his residency there over 10 years ago.I don't like him much either but i would go just to see Bond bang it out at the end.
  18. I've never heard of it:confused:
  19. Dunno this is the lineup that is doing the rounds so i don't know how accurate it is.Looks kinda beleivable though, maybe she isn't on anymore.
