  1. Americans Are Still Paying for Decades of Deficits While pundits debate the significance of deficits, a comparison shows that neither party, Republican nor Democrat, seems to worry too much about them while occupying the White House. The Palm Beach Post compared how much red ink the last eight administrations racked up and how much impact the inherited debt still has. * Lyndon Johnson's five years cost us $44.8 billion, $1.63 billion of it in 2004. * Richard Nixon rang up $67.1 billion over six years, with a cost of $2.2 billion in 2004. * Gerald Ford's two years cost us $126.9 billion, $4.6 billion this year. * Gas line king Jimmy Carter bequeathed $226 billion, with $8.1 billion in 2004. * Ronald Reagan's two full terms created a $1.24 trillion deficit, $48.2B of that hitting this year. * George H.W. Bush's one term gave us a deficit of $933.4 billion, costing $33.6 billion in 2004. * Bill Clinton's eight years left behind a $320 billion deficit, $11.5 billion this year. * George W. Bush is so far trailing his father, but not by much: $926 billion, with $33.3 billion being felt in 2004. That's over $143 billion Americans are paying this year alone for the deficits of the last 40 years. Of course, Congress - whether controlled by Democrats or Republicans - ultimately controls Uncle Sam's purse strings. And it has been a critical culprit in assisting these Commanders-in-Chief.
  2. Like Matas reaction....... This post and your view on it belong in the comedy section. When Bush wins (unless his lead after the convention slips or he messes up big time) you can guarantee you'll have a prez. Who'll remain committed to defending America and it's interests both at home and abroad. You can bet that terrorists will continue to be hunted and slowly but surely, as terrorist realize it's too tough to strike America, they'll continue striking European countries and Russia. Logic says that it will only be a matter of time before Europe (meaning France/Germany/Spain) starts to get it and begins defending their own way of life or risk being governed by the terrorists. The whole rep/dem thing is a joke. America is an overwhelmingly CONSERVATIVE country. Some are demz, most are repz. Regardless, this is a conservative country. You want liberal, move to the Netherlands. If Kerry wins (which seems less and less likely as every day passes), you can bet that terrorist will be breathing a sigh of relief. They can focus on regrouping w/out any worries of pre-emptive strikes from America because Kerry will be too busy trying to kiss and make up to all those European countries who are helping us in Afghanistan and Iraq after he spent a year trashing them by implying America went into Iraq "unilaterally". Kerry will have France, Germany and Spain on his side, but last time I checked, Europe has more than 3 countries. You can also bet on taxes being raised, the economic growth to stop and dependency on gov't to expand. So much for Bush's "ownership society". Hello SOCIALISM! As for Americas internal politics, America will be fine. It's a shame to see today's democratic party in such disarray. America needs 2 strong parties to remain being the best it can be. With today's democratic party imploding due to fanatics on the far left hijacking the party, who knows. History tells me that whatever it takes, the dem party will dust themselves off and become the great party they once were. I hope they get their crap together sooner than later because America as a whole will reap the spoils. Pray for the demz. They've lost their soul. They've lost their core beliefs and they've lost their priciples. Once they get the HATERS out, they might be able to spring back.
  3. LOL GET OFF THE GRASSY KNOLL DUDE... Did you forget 9/11? I specifically remember seeing security camera still photos of a large passenger airliner clipping light poles and slamming into the pentagon. I remember the airlines claiming multiple aircraft were missing and not heard from. Not once did they claim these were small private planes or missiles missing. Either you're bored or in extreme denial (and I don't mean the river in Egypt either). Maybe we never went to the moon either. Maybe the human race is one big alien experiment. Maybe the human race was created from an incestial orgy between Adam and Eve's offspring. LOL
  4. I love you too bro but AGAIN, you miss the point.. No one is creating new laws on the radio. There is free speech in America. There are also guidelines which must be (and always have had to be) obeyed. You wanna talk sex and profanity on the radio.....BY ALL MEANS,,,,GO FOR IT,,,,,but make no mistake, there will be consequences for breaking the existing laws which govorn the public airwaves. Bush has not created a new law or guideline. The FCC has not create a new law or guideline. Get it? The exisiting laws regarding decency on public airwaves were enforced. NOTHING NEW WAS CREATED! Get it? JEEEEEZZZ.. This argument is getting old already. Howard Stern and Bubba the love sponge can bitch all they want. Truth be told. They were warned to play by the rules. They chose not to and their employer paid the price. IT'S THAT SIMPLE! Get it? Besides, drive by shootings w/ oozies did not stop 10 yrs ago when the bill was implemented. There will always be a black market for WHATEVER ANYONE WANTS (guns, drugs, babies, sex, satellite cards, etc..etc..). Who in their right mind thinks gun stores and gun shows are selling these weapons to criminals? The majority get their "illegal" guns via the black market or they steal them from the law abiding gun collectors. Making them illegal only disarms the law abiding citizen and guarantees the criminals will keep theirs. LOL Now thats funny.....I don't care what anyone says. (blue collar comedy)
  5. If you read back, you'll see my point on this 2nd Amendment issue was that those opposed to this amendment are trying to incrementally erode it and punish the law abiding citizens while doing virtually nothing to disarm the criminal. When compared to the patriot act, I see a bill which was unanimously passed by congress, then signed by Bush in a direct response to 9/11 (worst attack on American soil,,,EVER!). While those who complain about their library books being monitored by the gov't never mention the good that has come from the patriot act. We will probably never fully know exactly how valuable that bill has been towards acquiring intel against terrorist and those who wish us harm here in America. I personally have not felt any effect on my freedom here in America. Don't get me wrong. I watch the news. The mainstream media and political hacks (on the left) keep telling me this patriot act is horrible and one day I won't be able to think a thought w/out some Gestapo brigade knocking down my door to lock me up in a dungeon in Texas. I know what the press says, only I just don't see it. I do however see progress against domestic terrorists/groups. Charities shut down, people arrested, terror plots thwarted, etc.... Call me crazy, but I find the contrast between the 2 to be quite substantial. This assault weapons ban has expired. Some want it re-implemented, others don't. the patriot act IS NOT being expanded. No new bill is being passed regarding the 2nd amendment. So, what's everyone bitching about? Nuthin' from nuthin' leaves nuthin'! Was that reply fast enough for you?
  6. That would be me........and yes it is very comforting to hear that some understand the cost of war and appreciate our fallen heroes. Meet my cousin Arthur Mastrapa: http://www.fallenheroesmemorial.com/oif/profiles/mastrapaarthurs.html http://www.estripes.com/article.asp?section=&article=21956&archive=true
  7. What rights have you lost due to the patriot act? EXACTLY???? (please elaborate) How have you suffered? EXACTLY???? (please elaborate) What about the patriot act exactly bothers you???? (please elaborate) Please elaborate?????? I have asked this question in the past and no one has been able to detail their grievances against the Patriot Act. I sure hope you can.
  8. 2nd Ammendment ....THAT SIMPLE.... Maintaining that same logic,,,,, Who needs big houses, big cars, fancy watches, clothes,,,etc.... Let's go deeper,,,,,,,who needs abortions aside from when it threatens the mothers life or the pregnancy is a result of incest/rape? Killing babies is okay,,,WHY??????? Personally, I don't need these types of guns, but in a free society, who are you to dictate your beliefes on others? Besides, the 2nd Ammendment grants all American the right........ Focus should remain on the core of the problem which is the culture in which we now live. Guns don't get up and kill people, people do. If you come home to find your wife fucking some stranger on your brand new love seat, are you gonna throw out the love seat or the wife? SAME LOGIC APPLIES! Law abiding citizens who collect guns are not the problem, it's the criminals who are the problem. Why punish the law abiding citizens? Besides, it's not like you're gonna stop the blackmarket of these guns which still find their way into the criminals hands. Again, I don't own guns. That's my personal choice. Besides, this law applies to more than just assault weapons. It also includes things like large capacity clips for semi-auto handguns. There are other issues as well. We can't have knee jerk reactions where we incrementally disarm the law abiding citizens of America while doing nothing to disarm the criminals. Think 'bout it! One more DIRTY LITTLE SECRET which Bush haters don't talk about is that old skool country democrats down south CHERRISH their 2nd amendment rights. This isn't a Bush/Republican/NRA thing.........Tons of good ole' boy "dixi-crat" dems are life long members of the NRA......... Don't expect the Bush haters to take note of that.............

    Tech Question

I received a .max file from a friend. I believe this is a 3D file. How can I view this on a Windows 2000 OS?
  10. Like Sands In An Hourglass....................So Are The Days Of Our Lives.
  11. Pathetic!!!!! Not even funny considering the reality of that day.
  12. You guessed right !!!!! Come on and jump aboard the "Bush Fault Band Wagon" It's fun !!!!!! FYI AK47'S and OOZIE'S will still remain illegal due to another active bill in Congress...... So,,,No,,,Those 2 will still be illegal to purchase here.... Besides,,,,Guns don't kill people, people do.
  13. Implementing the Patriot Act has only made our Country safer. As for breaching our freedom......IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE THEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

    Going to Miami

The return of the fiera !!!!!!! Ain't nothin but a party yal !!!!!! Saca los party supplies !!!!!
  15. Very weak,,,at best. He can't run or hide from his 20 voting record. His problem is not Bush, it's him! His party is as desperate as it's ever been. Just look @ the regurgitated Bush Nat. Guard issue and the forged docs. Look @ his phone calls from Clinton prior and after his operation. The shake up in his campaign staff. The recruitment of the Clinton guys,,,,Begala, Carville, Lockhart, etc...... Every poll shows Kerry losing ground on EVER SINGLE ISSUE and Bush gaining, ON EVERY SINGLE ISSUE. DNC made a bad choice in Kerry and it's starting to show. So much for "electability"????????? That's what they get when they have a campaign based on voting against Bush, rather than FOR Kerry. It's clear to me they've known from the beginning they chose a SUPER WEAK candidate, hence the non-stop VIETNAM answers to every question. You can't answer every question w/ "but I served in Vietnam" and ignore your 20 yr. voting record which is pitiful, at best. In a post 9/11 world, his record is no asset to his campaign. That's what happens when you have no core & no substance. Again, my problem w/ Kerry and most demz today is that they don't demand the same accountability from themselves that they demand from Bush and republicans. Pity! Blinded by hate.
  16. That was great. Five days after we found Saddam in his spider whole. They made the right move and with that came intelligence that helped us out a great deal. Great read !!!!!!!
  17. Amazing is a good word but it can also be described as a "lack of knowledge"
  18. Friday, Sept. 10, 2004 12:59 a.m. EDT Longtime Democratic strategist Pat Caddell said Friday that if documents aired by CBS newsman Dan Rather Wednesday night turn out to be forged, as alleged by experts, the presidential race "is over." "It would be the end of the race," Caddell told Fox News Live. "It would be the end of the race," he repeated. "[Democratic officials are] so involved in this," the former Carter pollster worried. "They have gotten themselves so involved in this issue [in] the last 24 hours that somebody's going to, if they're not authentic, they're going to be blamed for it. It's incredible to me that they've gotten in this." Caddell said he wasn't trying to sensationalize the issue, explaining that instead "I'm trying to save my party, you know, by telling the truth." He said that forfeiting the presidential race would be the least of his party's problems if Democrats are tied to any forgery scandal. "The race is over – and we've got bigger problems than that," he warned. Still developing!!!!!!
  19. Never underestimate the will and resolve of our troops and current Prez !!!!!!!!!!!
  20. WASHINGTON — Questions continued to swirl Friday around the authenticity of memos purporting to show discrepancies in President Bush's (search) Texas Air National Guard service over 30 years ago. Documents aired by CBS' "60 Minutes" Wednesday night were described as having been written by Bush's commanding officer during his Guard days. They seemed to show that Bush, then a pilot, violated a direct order and tried to avoid his duties. But many experts say the memos' typeface, formatting, paragraph spacing and other attributes indicate that they were written on a modern-day personal computer, possibly using the Microsoft Word word-processing program — not on a 1970s typewriter. The documents were purportedly written in 1972 and 1973. The documents appeared to say Bush ignored a direct order from a superior officer and lost his status as a Guard pilot because he failed to meet military performance standards and undergo a required physical exam. They also show Bush required two passes to land an F-102A fighter on March 12 and April 10, 1972. His last flight as an Air National Guard (search) pilot was on April 16. Valid Questions or 'Character Assassination'? Bush's Guard service became a focus of Democratic criticism this week. Democrats and some like-minded groups, such as Texans for Truth, say Bush shirked his National Guard duties, a claim Bush denies. On Friday, Sen. Tom Harkin (search), D-Iowa, told FOX News that despite the chance that some of the documents may be fake, there was other proof that Bush got special privileges to get into the Guard, didn't take his physical and didn't fulfill all his duty requirements. "So when George Bush, in the Oval Office earlier this year, said 'I did my duty,' I'm sorry, we now know he didn't do his duty," said Harkin, who told reporters Thursday that Bush "lied to the American people." Republican National Committee spokesman Jim Dyke released a statement calling such statements "character assassination." "The Democrat playbook is wide open," Dyke said. "Faced with the reality that John Kerry's (search) record is too far out of the American mainstream and without an agenda on which to base his campaign, extreme partisans like Tom Harkin, Al Gore and James Carville are attempting to fill the vacuum of positive policies with character assassination. Bad news for the Democrats because the American people know the difference between a legitimate policy discussion and personal attacks." Republican critics and various outside groups, including the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, have accused Democratic presidential nominee Kerry, a decorated Vietnam combat veteran, of fabricating the incidents that led to his five medals. Also Thursday, prisoners of war who endured torture, isolation and interrogation at the hands of their North Vietnamese captors raised Cain over anti-war statements Kerry made after returning from service. Some former POWs who appear in a documentary film released Thursday say Kerry's 1971 Senate testimony alleging widespread and militarily-condoned war crimes made their time in prison worse. They claim that prison guards used Kerry's testimony to demand confessions of war crimes and as justification for brutalizing them. "The words he used were devastating, because as a war prisoner, we were being called war criminals, he was giving them at home what we were being tortured to say," said former POW Jim Warner. Experts Question Bush Docs CBS has defended the authenticity of the Guard memos, which were supposedly produced by Lt. Col. Jerry Killian (search), who died in 1984. But one of Killian's fellow officers, an independent document examiner and Killian's own son doubted the veracity of the memos. In an interview with FOX News, Gary Killian, who served in the Guard with his father and retired as a captain in 1991, said he is "very dubious" about the genuineness of the documents. He said his father was "not in the habit of keeping secret files," didn't have a home office, didn't work after leaving his office and didn't have available to him at work the kind of typewriter that was apparently used to compose the documents. Gary Killian said the sentiments in the documents didn't reflect his father's "true feelings" about Bush, and that if his father had actually written the papers, he would have signed them using his full name, not just "CYA," which is on the documents. He also said his father would have typed such a document himself, "hated" typing and was a "very poor" typist. "He did not type memos to himself," Gary Killian added, saying it was "too much effort" and "very dangerous … not a good practice." The personnel chief in Killian's unit at the time also said he believes the documents are fake. "They looked to me like forgeries," said Rufus Martin. "I don't think Killian would do that, and I knew him for 17 years." Killian's widow, Marjorie Connell, described the records to The Washington Post as "a farce," saying she was with her husband until the day he died in 1984 and that he did not "keep files." She said her husband considered Bush "an excellent pilot." "I don't think there were any documents. He was not a paper person," she said, adding that she was "livid" at CBS journalists who did not, she said, ask her to authenticate the records. Independent document examiner Sandra Ramsey Lines said the memos looked like they had been produced on a computer using Microsoft Word. Lines, a document expert with the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (search), pointed to a superscript — a smaller, raised "th" in "111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron" — as evidence indicating forgery. "I'm virtually certain these were computer-generated," Lines said. She produced a nearly identical document using her computer's Microsoft Word software. CBS released a statement Friday saying it has "complete confidence" in its reporting and will continue to pursue the story. "For the record, CBS News stands by the thoroughness and accuracy of the "60 Minutes" report this Wednesday on President Bush's service in the Texas Air National Guard," CBS said. "This report was not based solely on recovered documents, but rather on a preponderance of evidence, including documents that were provided by unimpeachable sources, interviews with former Texas National Guard officials and individuals who worked closely back in the early 1970s with Colonel Jerry Killian and were well acquainted with his procedures, his character and his thinking." Independent handwriting and forensic document experts and sources familiar with their content also verified the documents, CBS said. Bush spokesman Scott McClellan said Friday the White House, which distributed the memos after obtaining them from CBS, was not trying to verify their authenticity. "We don't know if the documents are fabricated or authentic," McClellan told reporters traveling with the president to West Virginia. McClellan suggested the memos surfaced as part of "an orchestrated effort by Democrats and the Kerry campaign to tear down the president." Bush String-Pulling Questioned Adding even more fuel to the military records fire were accusations by a woman claiming to be Amy Barnes, daughter of former Texas Lt. Gov. Ben Barnes (search). The woman said Thursday that Ben Barnes had fabricated claims that he used his influence to pull strings and get Bush into the Texas Air National Guard 36 years ago. In a phone call to WBAP's Mark Davis radio show in Dallas, Texas, the so-called Amy Barnes said the former lieutenant governor was an "opportunist" who had lied about Bush's Guard record. "I love my father very much, but he's doing this for purely political reasons," the woman said. "He is a big Kerry fund-raiser, and he is writing a book also. And [the Bush story] is what he's leading the book off with ... He denied this to me in 2000 that he did get Bush out [of Vietnam service]. Now he's saying he did." The radio station confirmed that Barnes does have a daughter named Amy, but it was not confirmed that the woman on the air was in fact her. "Mr. Barnes has told a lot of different stories about that particular time -- it's a period of time in which his credibility was also impacted in a very negative way," Texas Gov. Rick Perry told FOX News, noting that Barnes left office amid his own controversies and wasn't even lieutenant governor when Bush joined the Guard. "Using Ben Barnes as an individual may be inherently dangerous for the Kerry campaign. He may be fine for raising money for him, but from the standpoint of telling a story that has any credibility to it, he may be the wrong one," Perry added. Does It Even Matter? Voters and war veterans may not be so much concerned about the particulars of Kerry's Vietnam heroism or Bush's Guard pilot logs as they are about the bigger picture, according to some observers. "They're not concerned about whether George W. Bush made every drill or not," Ret. Marine Col. Oliver North, host of FOX News' "War Stories," told FOX News on Friday. "I think they are going to be concerned if they find out these documents are forgeries, because it's going to be a pattern of deception that has plagued John Kerry since Vietnam." Harkin said it wasn't so much the devil in the details that counted, but what those details said about Bush's character and other issues. "I think in any presidential race, character counts, and George Bush has staked a lot on his character," Harkin told FOX News. If it's true that Bush lied about his Guard service, Harkin said the next question would be "'Will he mislead us also about Iraq, how we got into Iraq?' ... This counts because it's not something that happened 30 years ago. ... It's something that happened this year." Bush loyalists labeled the Guard-service issue as nothing more than pure desperation from the Kerry camp. "We do know that George Bush has the respect and support of the people of America," Sen. George Allen, R-Va., told FOX News. "This is desperation. It is very pitiful that they're coming up with these things ... and it shows just how pitiful the desperation is. "The reality is, who in the future if best to lead this country? And I think you're seeing from polls the American people see greater comfort in George Bush than they do in Senator Kerry." The White House has argued that recent polls showing Kerry slipping slightly among America's electorate is the reason for the recent Democratic criticism over Bush's record. GOP strategist Rich Galen said it's the Kerry camp that's keeping the focus on things that happened decades ago, to avoid talking about today's issues, but Democratic strategist Bob Beckel said the Bush-Cheney campaign is the one focusing on the past. Both agreed these issues are delaying debate on real issues. "It's going to take another week now away from what Kerry absolutely has to do, which is to get the debate going on domestic issues ... it's in the Bush campaign's interest to keep this thing focused in the 1960s and 1970s," Beckel said. "I have no doubt Bush dodged his responsibilities, but so what? People want to hear about the future, but this is going to take another week and we only have eight weeks left."
  21. 1. 8:45 am is too early for us to be up. 2. We are always late, we would have missed all 4 flights. 3. Pretty people on the plane distract us. 4. We would talk loudly and bring attention to ourselves. 5. With food and drinks on the plane, we would forget why we're there. 6. We talk with our hands, therefore we would have to put our weapons down. 7. We would ALL want to fly the plane. 8. We would argue and start a fight in the plane. 9. We can't keep a secret, we would have told everyone a week before doing it. AND MY FAVORITE..... 10. We would have put our country's flag on the windshield.
  22. One of my favorite producers!!!!!!! Good ear!
