I might end up moving back to Arizonza where you can actually get a nice house for $325k!
I have a friend who moved to Phoenix and told me that he just bought a house and it was well under 325k. 2 stories with a pool and yard. DANGGGG!!

I just found a CD i bought in Miami in 97 from the old Liquid and ive been hearing all morning. My taste in music has expanded but i still enjoyed it alot.
Anybody know who the resident DJ was there back then? The CD has no names or tracklisting.

Saleen - Not taking anything away from Denny, i think i would actually love his music from what i read in your posts and the mixes on KTU.
But almost all DJ bios go a little something like the one you posted. In reality music tastes are subjective and its not a good thing to put people down for not liking something you like. What are you trying to accomplish? I ask myself that when i see yours and others posts about "Fuck (insert music you dont like)". It only makes you look like a close minded asshole.
So help me understand what you are trying to accomplish by bashing. Its only fun for a little while then we think you are fucking around but when you go on and on and on about it gets tired.

Yeah. Some have good input, this is very much true. It is also true, however, that others just ramble on and on as if they actually have a say or pull in the 'scene'. I'd say its about a 20/80 split from from I've read up to now.
The 20% is worth sticking around.
The 80% will provide some good laughs to get you through a days work.

richie was my fav dj growing up, heat fridays at hunka bunka!!!.... I didn't reconize the track, the highs were so high pitched we stood at the back upstairs bar and couldn't hear to well.

hes a good dj and John Digweed requests that he opens for him when JD is in LA.
His sets are pretty diverse with alot of soul the times ive heard him. If you havent heard him, you should at least give him a shot.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT HE WILL BRING TO THE SCENE IS BIG HYPE AND MAINSTREAM RECOGNITION TO ELECTRONIC MUSIC AND TO LOT OF DJS...HE IS WORKING RIGHT NOW IN HIS DANCE ALBUM WITH A LOT OF BIG NAMES LIKE FELIX DA HOUSECAT ,DARREN EMERSON,...ANOTHER TRACK WITH DEEP DISH. I KNOW HE CAN PULL VERY GOOD TRACKS....AND WITH THIS BIG NAMES JUMPING ONBOARD THAT PROJECT I THINK IT WILL EB GOOD....ANOTHER HUMBLE 2 CENTS..
thats the smart business man at work. Hes collaborating with the big names and thats the reason people will listen to those tracks. I know i was liking the Lets Get Ill track because it features Deep Dish and Kellis.
What other hip-hop mogul do you know off that was actually able to pull something off like the Let's Get Ill track?Dont know of any. But lets get up and lets get ill falls into the put your hands up in the air type tracks that get you excited for a while but then coagulate into cheese. Thats just my opinion but also see your point of view.

I agree with you about him being smart - as a matter of fact, i think his brains are what got him as far as he is now and does deserve props for what he has done for the hip hop industry. I just dont have faith in him contributing to our scene because its a whole different culture than hes used too.

P-Diddy is definitely getting into the scene, I think that track Lets Get Ill that he did with Deep Dish is bad ass...its variety and I like that! Not to mention the majority of clubbers who have listened to it love it....just my two pennies!
Personally, i thought it was a good track until it we were being drowned with it. It gets annoying when DJs play it every single night your out. But i dont think thats the reason i dislike it now. Some tracks pass by others are here to stay like umm....dark beat. It got played alot but i still love hearing it at a club.
P-diddy getting into the scene - i could be wrong about him but well see in time. Bad boy dance music will start up soon if not already and maybe hell prove me and all others who doubt him wrong.

If he had the right reasons for wanting to do this, then it would be a good thing. I dont think Puffy has the love for our scene to actually make a difference.

The bashing part was more directed towards saleena.
We have become so negative and thats part of the reason why alot of people cannot enjoy themselves. Back in the day, it was about the PLUR life. What happened to that? The saleenas got jaded i guess.
I think we should voice our opinions and complain about the things that go wrong but there is way to do it without the bashing and slandering. It only adds to the problem and nothing gets better.

Sometimes its a way for people to get into the quality music. If its not your thing, you are not forced to go. Miami has many options for good quality music, so why bash the ones that dont play the music we like?

I never really cared about his posts because i didnt take them serious but enough is enough. He talks about clubs, radio stations, promoters, etc.. hurting our scene but doesnt realize that its exactly what he is doing.

Nick aka "The Saleen" & the Saleensters show up to Space around 2am. Apparently, Nick & his crew were on Stryke's list @ the door. So when Saleen approached the doorguy, he mentioned to him that he was on "Greg's list". The doorman, mentioned to him that there was noone by the name of "Greg" with a list @ the door...@ the time, I was @ Spin & I get a phone call from a furious Saleen sayin' that he got turned down @ the door & the doorguy told him he didn't know who "Greg" was. So I made a phone call & had Roly walk out to the front door to assist Nick & his crew. but sometime before or/& after Saleen lost his cool.
Apparently, he blew a fuse with the wrong guy @ Space. @ the time, Roly was on his way out to the door to assist Saleen, but upon his arrival to the door he was told about the incident. To make a long story short he ended up screamin' & tellin' Marcus (in these exact words) to "fuck off" & to "tell Louis to fuck off too". All becuz the door guy wasn't familiar with the dj "Greg" which actually goes by the name "Stryke".

LaLate - are you seriuos about Ivar last thursday?
I dont think Ivar is bad place, but they shot themselves in the foot when they opened/reopened the place up i think back around March. The management, security, door people really treated the music fans like shit but treated the "Hollywood Crowd" like kings. If they had done things right from the start, they would have had a chance, but they f**ked it up.
Now when i or some people i know hear about these new nights at Ivar, we immediately think back to the way we were treated when we first attended and say NO THANKS!! I feel bad for the promoters who pick that venue to have their parties cause its not their fault. But if we dont speak with our wallets these clubs will never learn how to treat people with respect.
