  1. Think what you want, they use a wand @ OPM and had me empty my pockets when I went. I have nothing to prove to you and have no reason to lie. Not to say things haven't changed b/c this was back in April - but that is what happened when I went.

Regaudless, I am honestly drawing a blank here as far as why you continue to post. We got your point a long time ago. People on this board come here for advice on a certain type of party, music, and clientelle (sp?) in Vegas. The clubs you like don't fit into what they are looking for. Billle and I post about parties and clubs that we hear good feedback about. After my last experience at OPM, I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone looking to have a good time. The people on this board (and basically every city listed on Clubplanet) promote mainly for the dance music scene. If you are so concerned about how politically correct BillLe's post are, why don't you bring your drama to the other boards because they all do the same thing. Reccomend the same type parties with similar music & crowd in other cities around the country. Most of the people who come to the Vegas board are members of different boards looking for reccomendations for a good time based on what they are into back at home.

You should just drop it already - You loose. No one on this particular board cares about the garbage you continue to post aside from me and BillLe. They are here to find out about a good time. And I haven't heard any complaints so far. Go back to Napkinnights or start a messageboard for OPM or VIBE where you can bash these clubs all you want. Just keep your drama out of here.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!!

  2. To be honest w/ you outofthebox, the one and only I went to OPM (in which I knew nothing of the club) my girlfriend 2 of her friends and I were denied free admission before midnight when we had free passes when it was a regular Friday night. This left a bad taste in my mouth right off the bat. Secondly, they used a metal detector and a pat down for all males entering the club and I could see why. Most of the people entering the place were underdressed compared to the clubs I prefer to go to and had tough guy attitudes like a fight waiting to happen if you accidentally bumped into someone. Who the hell wants to deal w/ that when their on vacation. That is generally the attitude and reputation that the parties you speak of tend to have, and not many people on vacation really want to deal w/ that crap. If thats the type of party your into - wonderful. Unfortunatley no one else on this particular board seems to be which means your wasting energy typing and preaching. NO ONE ELSE CARES!!!!

  3. Outofthebox - while some of your posts do make sense, they generally don't apply to the people who browse this board. In case you haven't noticed, the clubplanet messageboard caters to those into the house music and dance scene. Want proof? Take a look at the advertisements, party promotions and reviews, and the music section. I've seen 1 post in the 10 months I've been posting on the Vegas messageboard where someone asks for a club with only hip hop and absolutely no house music. You know why? B/c people generally don't come to Vegas to party in places where A) you don't feel safe B) a metal detector is needed and c) the dress code allows Jersey's, bandanna's, & jean's down around you ankles. The people who come to this board look for upscale places where a dress code is required and they feel priveledged to be in. BillLe does a great job w/ his reccomendations and servicing the people who are in contact w/ him, because week after week all I hear on this board is praise for the amazing time his customers had. I personally haven't met him yet, but would reccomend the same clubs he does based on the music, crowd, and vibe of the establishments.

I'm really not sure what your point is posting on here, but It seems like you've come to this relatively peaceful board only to start shit that began on Napkin Nights. This isn't the same crowd and people on here have different interests. Do us all a favor and post your garbage somewhere else!

  4. Drais - Seven and OBA @ the house of blues @ Mandalay are the only things going on late night these days. ICE is having afterhours on Friday night (well what's considered afterhours to them) - they are staying open until 7 or 8

I am thinking of checking out OBA this weekend either tonight or Sunday - only place for afterhours that plays good music. I can't stand Drai's or Seven :vomit2:

  5. I'm not a big fan or Drai's at all. Such a hassle to get in - not much room to dance when its crowded - and the music is typical shitty Vegas house music. Holiday weekends - you better have some serious cash ready or get there when it opens - otherwise you will wait for at least 1 -2 hours to get in. Vegas needs a new afterhours place - Seven and Drais suck IMO. Same exact thing every time you go there. Think I'm gonna check out OBA this weekend

  6. We'll now my girlfriend is really bugging me to go - is it that good? I've seen the pics from last year - looks like the only place to go is the main floor unless you have a VIP ticket (which is already sold out). I know the music wil be good - but is there anything else to it aside from the stage shows and the main floor. Not sure if its worth $55 + the cost of a costume. Aside from the dancers and models in the pix - it looks like mostly guys

  7. I'm assuming you guys don't really know who Dj Borris is - he's spinning friday from 3am - close @ ICE. He's the resident @ crobar NYC and spins BANGING music. Nasty progressive and tribal shit. Really the only party I'm looking forward to music wise. Gonna be a great night - the NY DJ's always bring an awesome sound and vibe out here

  8. My dad play similar to you -nothing too crazy $15 - $50 a hand depending on how he's doing. He plays for pretty long periods of time (always seems to win too) - And Ceasars really hooks him up. They paid $60 for 4 nights and 5 meals + drinks when they were out here last month. Mom my has a card that earns points towards the same account - but the majority of comps is from my Dad's play. Not to mention that once you are in their system - they send tons of deals for free nights or $49 rates for 3-4 days. If you don't mind a little older and classier crowd - I would try it out.

  9. We will be in Vegas Sept 3-6 for a bachelorette party. Wanted to see if any one could help with line passes or VIP's for the clubs.

Contact BillLe about VIP packages. Unfortunatley the free line and VIP passes that the clubs pass out usually don't work on Holiday weekends

  10. Any idea what time Oakie will take the decks and/or how long he'll spin? In NY this would normally happen around 1-2am and we'd get a 2-3 hour set. How do they do things at Ice?

It really depends on the DJ. I've seen DJ's spin 5-6 hour sets and 2 hour sets @ ICE. Okenfold is the type of guy who wants as much $$ as possible for as little time as possible - so don't expect a long set. Not to mention one of the presale tickets I saw said there's another DJ doing afterhours, which usually starts @ 3 am as far as ICE is concerned. I'm guessing he'll be on from 12am - 3am

  11. The house/dance music scene out here is pretty sad on regular weekends aside from a few places. Hip Hop dominates at most clubs. However, if you are coming for Labor Day weekend, there are alot of things to do for good music. The holiday weekends always seem to bring in good talent

Friday - Scooter and Lavelle, Borris @ ICE

Sat - Christopher Lawrence & Donald Glaude @ the Pimp & HO- Orleans arena

Sat - Little Louie Vega @ ICE

Sunday - DJ Dan @ Rain

    Sunday - Okenfold @ ICE

These will all be huge parties so I'm sure you have a great time @ any of them - just need to pick out what kind of music (ie house or trance).
