I've heard last weekend was the first of many to come - kind of a kick-off party. I've heard from a few people who usually are the first to tell me about good DJ's coming to town that they have really big things planned for the rest of the summer - (I've heard rumors of Morillo - Deep Dish - Boris towards the end of the summer through labor day) I guess their budget is huge and they are planning on some serious talent playing at the pool this summer
I'll keep you guys posted as soon as I hear some news - but if anyone hears anything in the mean time post it here

I was kind of disapointed w/ the night to be honest w/ you, the music was good at some points and blah at others. He played some bad ass tracks throughout the course of the night but the set could have been alot more consistant as there was flow at all. The last 2 hours I was there he played a tech set that lasted about an hour which was too hard for me - then he picked it up went into his "sunshine" song followed by a few other good ones - All this time was performed live by Sylver and then Micheal Jackson "They don't care about us" after that was torn apart. It sounded like he was going to finish strong but there was hardly any people left and absolutely no vibe anymore. All my friends wanted to leave so we took off and went back to my place for a pool party.
I really wanted to catch Boris the next night - but in order to get seats at the Hardrock for the pool party the next day I needed some rest and stayed in. I'm sure Boris was great - he always is. I really regret missing that party but oh well - Studio 54 2 nights in a row was too much

I am so excited. The S-Man switched weekends from 6/4 to 6/11 at Club Space in Miami. I am in Miami 6/11.
You're a lucky bastard - it doesn't get any better than Sanchez on the Space Terrace all morning long. Keep me posted on how it was

Can we purchase tickets the day of the event at the box office?
You probably can - but they will jack the price up at the door. Not sure if they will sell them earlier that day - it sounds like an internet presale only. I would say just buy them on wanttickets.com under las vegas now and when you show up - they have a list of everyone who already purchased them so u can walk right in

Fuck that - tell them you're a local and come suppor them almost every weekend when its dead. If they can't at least drop the cover charge don't bother. Even though it only an extra $50 - its the principle. That place really pisses me off for what they are trying to do that night

Was really hoping for a pool party - anyone who was at the Sagamore in Miami this year for the music conference knows how good this would have been
I guess now MGM is having him spin at Studio 54 instead that night - Its listed on his website
I really don't want to be there 2 days in a row but nothing else is going on Saturday Night - PURE is going to be a bitch to get into w/out a table or VIP assistance

I wouldn't go b4 12 - you have guaranteed admission all night so you don't have to be there for a certain time. W/ advanced tickets out here you bypass the line and go to the front

so how sure are you about boris for sat at the pool?
Its 100% - I heard about it last week but was told to keep it quiet until all the contracts were finalized

Just got the word from some of my buds back in NY who put it togather - party will be from noon - ?? at the MGM pool and Boris will go on around 2
I'll post the flyer when I have it - the weekend just got alot better

Also be prepared to tip the door at least an extra $20 to $50 per person unless you are a smoking hot female with no males in your party.
Is this just for Pure? Am I better off getting VIP line access? I think it was $60 including admission. Probably have to tip the host too. How much is it to get into Pure?
Where did you find out $60 w/ line access - I may take advantage of that - doesn't sound too bad

Only thing that sucks is its all the way at Green Valley Ranch - how far is that from the strip. I don't know if they'll get people to take that far of a trip
I've heard from a few people that most of that lineup will continue the party on @ MOREA Sunday night - its even posted on the Space on tour website

I'm sure anyone who is going to Boris's party will be at JP the night before - they have a similar crowd. People still needs things to do on Saturday and Sunday

Just found out yesterday from one of the head promotors yesterday that he will not be spinning on the patioBetween this and the everything that is going on w/ ICE on Sunday Night my memorial weeknd plans are going to shit

I agree. I laugh at Ice mgmt. for thinking their club is worth that kind of a cover. It's one of the top two or three venues on the west coast, but unfortunately, that isn't saying much. If Ice is worth $75, then what are clubs like Space, Crobar Miami and Avalon Hollywood worth? I mean come on.

I can see them justifying the raise in price because now they have 2 HUGE DJ's that are probably demanding thousands each. The only problem w/ that is you still only get the same amount of time at the club - not like SPACE where you would be more than willing to pay $75 to even $100 because you have a set in the main room and then someone else on the Terrace for afterhours all morning long.
I'll bet 99% of the people out there would rather pay $40 to hear either Deep Dish or Tiesto for the whole night than pay almost double to hear both. ICE has been on a rolll lately w/ who they have been bringing in on Saturday nights but I highly doubt anyone will appreciate what they are trying to do that Sunday.

Sunday - Deep Dish and Tiesto
I think Roger is playing at Crobar NY on that Saturday

Actually, very few clubs give a ratt's ass if locals show up Memorial Day Weekend.
Your right - for every local whose business they lose that night there will be at least 20 tourists ready to get in. But when those people get to the front of the line and are told $100 and up for cover - I'll bet alot of people will chose to go elsewhere (at least I hope so)

With a cover charge this high - I hate to see what they will be charging at the door - for New Years Day Tiesto was $40 presales and they were charging $100 at the door - luckily I have a hook up there and we got in for half that but still
I wish I would have jumped on the $40 presales when they were available - I wonder if they are still going to honor those that were sold - some of my frineds from Chicago already bought them
Getting a table looks like the only way this event would be worth it now but I really don't want to hear Tiesto for 3+ hours - A full night of Deep Dish was looking really good to end the weekend - why couldn't they leave that alone

Was looking forward to a full set but Deep Dish - cover was only $40
Now they have Deep Dish on From 11 - 1:30 - someone filling in the spot in the middle - and Tiesto spinning from 2:30 to close
Price is now $75 - WTF!!! This isn't SPACE

Wish I was in Miami 6/4. Will be there 6/11.
That sucks - no matter where you see Roger - NOTHING can compare to the Space Terrace. I've never been to PACHA - would love to see what his parties are like on his home turf. I think he plays a little harder here in the states though - the IBIZA sets I've heard seem a little more mellow. I love it when he picks it up a notch and starts banging out those tribal beats!!

He's not there every month - after June he doesn't go back until after all IBIZA closing parties are though all the way in October
Him and Morillo don't make it back to the states more than 2 or 3 times all summer from June through the end of September

Was heading out of town for a business trip and pushed it back a day just to see Roger - leaving right from ICE to the airport to cath a 6:55 flight
After his set at SPACE I couldn't miss seeing this guy - will probably be the last time he'll be around until the fall due to his summer residency at PACHA - I don't think he heads back to the states much over the next few months
Can't wait for to hear him rip it up one last time - I've seen him 3 times since January and I think he's pretty much taken over the spot as my favorite DJ

I was ready to do it but my girlfreind and guest were not - especially since our room at the hardrock wasn't going to be ready until 4 pm sunday.
I live about 25 minutes from the strip and had a bunch of people staying w/ me who would have had to be ready to be out all saturday night, sunday day and sunday night since we had a room at the hardrock and were not heading back home after we went to the strip.
Not to mention no one really had that great of a time at 54 the night before to want to go back there the next night. When your playing tour guide for the weekend for people from out of town alot of other things factor in
