En ningún tÃtulo local, el Boca de Bianchi le habÃa sacado tanto a River a esta altura.
Desde la llegada de Carlos Bianchi, Boca primero batió la mejor racha invicta con 40 partidos sin derrotas y, enseguida, logró un bicampeonato local tras 23 años. Después, obtuvo una Libertadores, una Intercontinental, un Apertura y otra Libertadores para juntar asà más tÃtulos que el ciclo exitoso del Toto Lorenzo en los 70. Hubo un año sabático en el medio. Y no hace mucho, la tercera Libertadores con el Virrey al frente para superar todas las barreras conocidas en la competencia americana: siete victorias consecutivas y mayor diferencia de gol en una serie final. Y ahora, dos marcas más para Boca en un inicio de campeonato: le sacó la máxima ventaja de puntos a River en torneos cortos e igualó su marca histórica de cuatro victorias consecutivas.
Siete arriba. Esta marca batida se ve en las posiciones. Boca, con un partido menos, está primero con 12 puntos; y River, con cinco unidades, está debajo de mitad de tabla. "No importa que alcancemos los récords. Lo que más nos interesa es ganar el campeonato. Si en el camino batimos varias marcas, mejor", asegura Sebastián Battaglia. Aunque los siete puntos que hay entre los rivales superclásicos sea la mayor diferencia histórica xeneize desde 1990, a mantener los pies sobre la tierra. Como exige el técnico. "Si las lindas palabras de los demás hacen que nos confundamos, entonces somos bastante estúpidos", dijo Bianchi en la conferencia de prensa del viernes. Y eso que nunca hasta ahora Boca se habÃa despegado más de cuatro puntos de River y en esta oportunidad va por siete ¡con un partido menos! De los tres tÃtulos locales del Virrey en Boca, a esta misma altura, en Clausura 99 y Apertura 00 estaban igualados en diez puntos y en el Clausura 98 le llevaba cuatro.
"Con los puntos que le dieron del partido contra Chacarita ya se alejó mucho y encima tiene uno pendiente ante Banfield. Si gana ese que le queda, será el único candidato al tÃtulo. Si River está pinchado y con los demás no pasa nada. Creo que este campeonato está para ganarlo fácil", explica Rubén Suñé, el jugador más ganador de la historia del club con ocho vueltas olÃmpicas. Y agrega Mario Zanabria, otro multicampeón de fines de los 70: "Vale mucho la ventaja sobre los otros equipos en un torneo tan corto. A los demás, entre ellos River, les queda muy poco margen de partidos por perder".
Cuatro de corrido. Pero junto con esta marca, hay otra que va de la mano. Por tercera vez en la historia, Boca ganó los cuatro partidos iniciales de un campeonato: una fue en el Metropolitano 70 y la otra, en el Apertura 90. En la primera, el equipo venÃa de consagrarse en el Nacional 69 y superó a Chacarita, Los Andes, Lanús y Atlanta, pero después perdió dos encuentros seguidos ante Central y Huracán. Y en la última, la caÃda fue más dura, porque después de ese buen comienzo con el Cai Aimar de técnico, pasaron siete fechas hasta una nueva victoria.
"Cuando arrancás asÃ, entrás con el ánimo muy alto, positivo, como para apuntalarte arriba, y al jugador y al cuerpo técnico les da una tranquilidad especial. Y si bien presión hay siempre, los rivales te empiezan a tener más cuidado y se empiezan a cubrir cada vez más, este Boca es un equipo que se encuentra bien entrenado para estos desafÃos, tiene un ánimo muy bueno y te pelea en busca de los tres puntos hasta el minuto 50 del segundo tiempo", dice Omar Larrosa, protagonista de la primera racha de cuatro victorias consecutivas.
La situación es bien diferente entre las dos primeras rachas. Lo que les pasaba por la cabeza a los jugadores de Boca en el Apertura 90 no se puede comparar con el 70. Y mucho menos con este momento. En una época sin tÃtulos, la cabeza de los protagonistas trabajaba de otra manera, y la de los hinchas, también. No hacÃan falta cuatro triunfos en el comienzo del torneo para ilusionar a la gente, alcanzaba con uno para desatar la euforia. Y, en consecuencia, la presión de los jugadores era enorme.
En cambio, tener una Libertadores como respaldo inmediato y seis tÃtulos un poco más atrás, permite trabajar más relajado y tomarse las cosas con más tranquilidad, aunque vayan cinco torneos locales sin Boca en el primer lugar del podio. "Bianchi los tiene vacunados a los jugadores con que hay que estar tranquilos los 90 minutos. Muy diferente a lo que pasaba antes, cuando ibas a buscar el resultado de entrada y si no la metÃas, te desesperabas. Ahora, empata los primeros tiempos y no es problema. La hinchada no se impacienta, el equipo no se desborda y gana en la segunda parte", completa Luis Abramovich, titular en la racha del 90.
Ese currÃculum xeneize superexitoso también es motivo de respeto de los demás. Como no habÃa en los 80 ni en los primeros años de los 90. Como si ahora los rivales supieran que la hazaña contra Boca ya no es posible. Por algo, desde mediados de 1998, en sólo siete oportunidades un equipo del Virrey terminó derrotado en la Bombonera.
Por el quinto al hilo. Y que sólo dos campeones de torneos cortos hayan superado los cuatro triunfos seguidos de arranque demuestra que no es nada fácil mantenerse tan derecho. Ni el Boca de Maradona en el Metro 81 ni el de Batistuta y Latorre en el Clausura 91 ganaron cuatro de entrada. Tampoco lo consiguió ninguno de los tres campeones locales de Bianchi. De todos modos, una caÃda no define nada. El campeón de 1935, uno de los mejores equipos xeneizes del profesionalismo, ganó tres, empató el cuarto y después venció en siete más en forma consecutiva. En el Nacional 69, con la misma base que en el Metro 70, también fueron tres triunfos de arranque, un empate y luego ocho festejos más. Pero con todos los récords que ya rompió Boca de un tiempo a esta parte, aunque justo le toca jugar un clásico, no extrañarÃa que hiciera caer uno más.

For instance, nobody I know now goes to Space anymore unless its a huge event. People are tired of the same music and seek out for something with more taste, and go out somewhere where you can enjoy good music, see some known faces without having to be all fuc%ed up. Thats the beauty of a knowledgeable group of music listeners...they just need music and dancefloor and they will enjoy themselves and go home happy w/o having to spend the big bucks, go through door hassles, etc.. So anywayz... People are enjoying the small intimate settings that they can visit weekly without no prob., "where everybody knows youre name Cheers type of thing". So keep the basslines rolling into the small venues, its the best thing for the scene music-wise..... and watch Miami become a music-oriented city (which is the only thing that D'js world-wide critisize about mia.).
