dotn get me wrong..Geroge got to where he was because of his skills early on...remember, he was one of the first here to have alot of tracks that ROCKED Shadowlounge...like Fire Wire, Angel of Death, Cocaine, Overdrive, French Kiss, etc etc... but i guess he never got the fact that the hard part isnt getting to the top..its stayin there. to be considered the top you have to have talent. but to stay the top you have to be at the top of the game consistently...which is why i give it up to people like Paul Van Dyk , who switches it up anywhere from Hard trance like tracks from Steve Murano, to breaks and tracks from people like Infusion, Cirrus, and such... Even Tiesto...he went from playing and producing lots of extremely trancey records to more mellow stuff like Requiem for a Dream, As the Rush Comes, and Beautiful things.. An artist with a broad range of talent attracts a broad range of people...however, although i respect George's sticking with one particular type of trance...i think its a bit stupid that he sticks with the same tracks as well? If i wanted to hear his set from less than a month ago..minus maybe 3 songs..i can just go and ask my friend Alex to lend me his Shadowlounge 3rd year anniversary cd...the one with George and Taucher. but like i said in another post...WAG IS COMING!!! George had better bring his A game soon because hes gonna get blown out of the water by Uwe! October 11th..cant wait!

George's stubborn ass only likes to mix vinyl when he is live..maybe a track or two from cd. even Eddie G, the dj that used to close for him..said it. the only reason why he doesnt play all of that dope stuff he plays on the Lost world on Sunday nights is because they are all promo's or on cdr's...and he refuses to play them at a club... now what i dont understand is... if he owned a portion of Grooveman...wtf is he doing still with all of those old as fuck vinyls??? I for one know that when people like Talla come and play...they never play anything they themselves have produced..and MAYBE a remix they have done or two....but if he came...do you think he would still be playing world in my eyes? HEEEEELLL no! George did an excellent remix for Dark Beat (named it Dark Break Beat) and he has produced quite a few tracks that nobody has even had the chance to hear (unless they have some of his promo's..like the Trance Rodeo collection, Red Planet, Renegade Master, Global Destruction, etc. etc..)...yet he will not play them live simply because they are on cd...i dont get it why doesnt he just buy new vinyls? maybe after all the coke use and the house, the Escalade, the traveling, and the prostitutes...he went bankrupt? and dont give me that stupid excuse...OH HES A GREAT DJ BLAH BLAH BLAH...anyone who mixes the same tracks for more than 4 years and doesnt know how to mix them short of PERFECT deserves a bullet in his arse and two on his hands...so they can never mix AGAIN. well lets see...get there at around 11 and the place still isnt open...luckily me and my crew got comped and go inside...drinks are a reasonable 3 dollars a pop so i get down with the chica and my friends.. then it happens... THE CD SKIPS!!! evidently Ariel hadnt gotten there yet and the cd they were playing started to skip...and skip...and skip.... got to the point that someone had to literally go up there and switch the track to something else totally different..surprised that nobody heard it but me, my girl, and my other friends. so yea..anyways.. ariel finally gets on (not sure when) and rumors are already goin that GA isnt going to spin..and that hes going to stand up the crowd...honestly...IMO Eddie G is a much better dj than George so im all for it...usually the headlining dj is on around 12:30 or 1-ish... GA gets there at 12:45 and goes on the dex at 1. much to my surprise..he plays an AWESOME SET! (yeah right..if i was autistic and never heard trance before i would have thought it was good...it SUCKED! ) played Shes like the wind, bullet in the gun, r2d2...even TAKING OVER SPACE! what kind of dj that holds a residency at Glow in Dc, and tours regularly..with a cd out in 2003...PLAYS THIS FUCKING SHIT>?!?!?!? How can we respect a trance dj when the dj plays worse stuff than the wednesday night resident at Voodoo Lounge? I dotn care if the mans a dickhead..i dont care if he plays a certain way when everyone else does...what i care about..is listening to a quality dj play quality trance...how the hell does he expect to keep making a living playing the bullshit he does? his mixing wasnt a trainwreck..it was a plane wreck...horrible..played that stupid JayZ track and that other song that DMX sampled for Romeo must die (Aint no Sunshine).... only newer track i had heard that he had played was Human beings from Cosmic Gate...and even to trance people that listen to sets online..thats already getting old... im glad ii have that PCDJ equipment on my comptuer...because even if i just slap a few mp3's tgether..already i know its better than that fucking dj...fuck GA..im never gonna see him live again. and he had better THANK GOD that he did not play at Ultra...had he played that weak shit they would have thrown him out of the god damn stage! once again..fuck GA. To be honest... as long as George Acosta isnt there...or anyone else that can cheese the place out..(Padilla is an exception...he hasnt been around for a while consistently...so i think he would be an exception in this issue)...i think the place could have some great potential...it would be great to see some fresh talent come to miami in a place that isnt surrounded by 50 cent lookalikes and leased Escalade EXT's on Dubs. hopefully they will look into bringing in more than one genre of music into the space every now and then...techno, breaks, house, trance, ambience even.... wouldnt it be dope to have a club in miami that could bring in anyone from Yoji Biomehanika to Hennes and Cold to Lisa Lashes? I think it could be done... if you could get a steady following with some decent local resident talent...you would be able to bring in people that arent heard much here and not risk as much as say...oakey? 93 grand? thats an awful lot for 10 hours (max...between friday and saturday...say..he plays 5 hours each nite).. thats almost 10 g's an hour! wtf? they could have brought 3 or 4 superstar dj;s and rocked the place with an all out dj competition to kick off their grand opening!

Pod, if that was the case..then why would dekan want us to giv ehim feedback on what dj's to bring in? if it was up to "clever marketing", any dj would fill up a club that does their work right ...no? btw- it wasnt Level that set up that event anyways...it was Frank, G-A's manager. all im saying is, it would be great to hear something different from someone mainstream, or housey. Im down to hear Richie Hawtin, BEn Sims, Chris Leibing, Donald Glaude, Dj Montana, Lisa Lashes, Mistress Barbara, Hennes & Cold, Tony De Vit, Ferry Corsten, ....i could go on.... the list is huge of talent that hasnt fully been exposed to the scene down here, but until someone books them, there will be NO exposure and we will stick to the same scene until leeching clubbers dry it out completely. Im not saying that clubs need to be ahead with their marketing and acts to keep things consistent with clubbers, but is there really such a bad thing with switching it up a bit? Sure, we have monthly residencies here and there, but its the same genre of style....

dekan..honestly... alot of people down here ove Dj Wag he was here maybe 8 months ago over at Level and COMPLETELY packed the place...i heard from over 30 sources that were there that not only was it one of the best sets they had ever heard, but the vibe was extraordinairy and they would love to see him again. He never plays here in the States much, and he is definitely a great act, in fact, since Level, he has come out with some sick ass tracks...and im sure it would make for a memorable set. Dj Wag (from the sets that i have from him recently...) has played everywhere from hard trance to tech, to epic, and a bit of progressive and he has a funky ass name too.... Iwe...lol BTW- i said Wag because yes..hes trance, just like george, talla, Armin, Tiesto, Edgar, Taucher, (Insert any other trance name here)....but..he is a fresh face in our scene...didnt even get down here for WMC...so im sure people would love to see him soon. MY friend was planning on renting out a club and having him come in and play, all because he had such a good time when he last saw him. hit me back on the PM and we will chat more! i have a huge list of progressive/house/trance dj's that im sure ud be interested in.
