  1. Biz...come on...everyone knows that this is how many times im going to hit you if you dont hook me up with the VIP bands (34) and where im gonna kick you into (space) lets see... in the old video on the Space website, they spoke about a building named warehouse 34 that was going to be used to create the new future club Space. the address (34 NE 11 St.) was about a block down from the original (142 NE 11 St). I guess i will have to go with the norm and say that the 34 was derived from the address of the warehouse used to build 34...as well as the original name to keep the tradition alive...i dont think another club would have sounded as good without the original "Space" name anywhere in it. Hey Biz...havent seen you in a while man...you still alive? lol...hey btw- hope all is well with Roland's cd production and such...i know ur putting some good time into it....peace! SpaceCadet34:D
  2. Bro...if you really wanna suck saleens dick...just MENTION Oscar G...*hears slurping sound* lol nevermind...it seems ive beat you to saying it...LMAO No Offense Oscar...just for shitz n giggles. SpaceCadet:tongue:
  3. HaHa you should have seen my friend AJ in the booth with Stryke! we were in the Vip booth next to the dj booth and he tried to get on top of one of those padded stools to tell greg that he rocks and fell flat on his ass!!! hahahaha Greg..im gonna email u my address and PM it just in case... take care bro! cant wait for Miami vs. Detroit @ WMC where ur playin next! Ps- its sad Spi is going the way of the hiphop when they could have you on fridays...*sigh* SpaceCadet
  4. ok first things first...i get there at around11:20....notice at the door that they have a mini id scanner (lol that made my day) swiped my id..let me and my friend aj in and since we had our comps...awaaaay we went lets see: Stryke- wasnt there for his initial set...but i will say that he went on again at the request of (maybe) Spi and let me tell you that that was the BEST decision they made...Stryke tore it up! saw greg when i got there...we had a good little chat...and heard him rock the place...Joined David Alexander and Kaenow after they left Rain and Maze (heard the place was packed???) in the DJ booth...dude...your setup for mixing is amazing! you truly are an artist Hector/Tom- These were the brains behind the operation with getting the talen there...wow...great people...hectore chatted with me for a bit...invited me to his table and drank with my and my friend aj....straight up people...i like that. Tom couldnt join us cause he was at the door...but he still had a good attitude about even the snotties people coming in...cool guy in my book. Confucius aka David: wow this guy threw down...he was a bit pissed that it wasnt as PACKD but the club was DEFINITELY not empty when i left...at like 4-5 am. STryke introduced me and i walked into the dj booth to a cool as hell guy with a smile on his face and a record in his hand making the crowd go wild...i hope to see him again soon at another club...Rabbit in the Moon kicks Ass!!! Meng AKA Sean- Great meeting you...you truly deserve being part of Cooljunkie...they will take you far...and im sure so will those around you...when you surround yourself with good people...great things happen. Anyways.... hey Greg..what was that Depeche Mode song again? Ivanno played it once but layered you gotta believe on it...sounded awesome. and yes...we have to go back to VIP and have a few more drinks!!!! hahahaha....hope my friend AJ wasnt too much of a pushover in the booth! he used to see you perform WAAAY back in the day and he told me how much of an honor it was to be next to you in the dj booth...you made his day! and THANK YOU FOR PLAYING DARK BEAT (ONGAKU REMIX!!!) Cant wait till you play again... SpaceCadet888 *soon to be....SpiCadet???? hahaha peace!!! PS- damn...would u believe it? im wide awake and freaking jammin at 5 in the morning!!
  5. BTW- Shadowz...i just HAPPENED to see the Flyers...They were grey with white letters in case you need a bit of a refreshment in your memory...and they did NOT say february 14th. i would know..because i am the one that gives them out.
  6. Get one thing straight...it doesnt matter whether its up now or whether its up in a year..it will be ready to go soon...Shadowz...pardon my french but you have to be a moron to think anyone with their hands in Space34's future would half-ass construction to speed up building time. look at another one of the posts that pod (i believe) did about their soundsystem alone...they put alot of heart and money into the building and if you know it inside out...congratulations for being a hopeless fanatic. hopefully the people over at Space34 will get you a t-shirt or something.Geez.... However..i will put my comment in by saying that Space has always managed to pull in superb talent and handle the crowds as well as the dj's accordingly. if for some reason the building isnt 100% , you should at least know that they have a plan b, c, and d. its a business to them...and a club to us. Remember that. While you sit down in your little vip table and have your grey goose with cranberry juice, they are out brainstorming for who else to bring in next month. And yes...i know this FIRST hand from seeing many of the employees that work there go 6-7 day/ 60+ hour weeks just so you can get your table and listen to your dj. Dont expect it to be open. They have not officially announced a date, so dont expect it to be open when you want it to be. i wish it was open this saturday so i could have a blast before conference...but it may/may not happen. Just...Breathe...Just Believe.... (Space34 will be open...)....Another Day.... SpaceCadet888 Future Space34 Frequent-Clubber. PS- pod i need to speak with you...PM me plz..
  7. Oh man!!!! that song ROCKED!!!! if you dont think that was a great song....listen to Judge Jules set Live from Sundissential's 3rd birthday...it was the first live set i got that was in superb quality and made me dance my ASS OFF!! I remember leaving space after picotto performed and blared that in my soundsystem all the way home...felt like i was still at Space it even made Trance Energy's album:hat:

  9. I see so many of you all with memories from there and i feel left out, because i simply wasnt into the scene enough and didnt get the chance to live in "Shadow"... oh well..hopefully another club will have that legacy...until then..lament lament i shall lament..lol Carlos:cool: However- my most memorable memory y a Shadow Dj was the Spin Cd Release Party for George Acosta...wow...that night was beautiful....sooo many people...such a great vibe..words could not express...

  16. You guys have the opportunity to bring in some HEAVY trance talent...ive seen since Acosta has been at SPI(N:D) that you have already gotten Talla and Eddie G.....and now stryke! now with that...i have a few queries i would like to address..: A- What can we look forward to for conference? B- How much will it be? C- when will the club have a website? D- WHEN ARE YOU BRINGING IN WAG!!!!!!! About the Wag comment...im saying that because Acosta has Major ties to both Wag and Talla....as well as eddie...so i was wondering if some strings could be pulled to get him in for conference;) Anyways...if not...PLEASE...just find a way to get him in there! c3:hat:
  17. oh my god  AY ITS LIZZY!!! AAHHHHH haha jk whats up mija? i take it butter told u bout this place huh...lmao..well..since ur on...i might as well *revise* my dj list to a more concise version...its: Cosmic Gate Derb (wow their new tracks are sick) Dj Wag (excellent work with Pro-Active and Pro-Tech and as Yakooza) Scot Project (man R and S are AMAZING!) Warmduscher (man..hard stuff from start to finish) George Acosta Judge Jules Murk Jam X and De Leon Svenson and Gielen Kai Tracid KAENOW AND DAVIDALEXANDER! YEA! (88.1 MAINFRAME MIXES RULE!) Jimmy T Deep Dish Yoshitoshi (Desyn and Behrouz) and last but NOT LEAST!!!!!... Simply Jeff :D c3 aka SpaceCadet
  18. actually..thank you so much for scot project...but i was HOPING for DJ Wag Sets...man that guy is hardcore from start to end! I wish someone could get me the Level set he did last year........ lemme know if u can! or any other sets are appreciated! c3:hat:
  19. Scot Project?? I was busy when Dj wag went to Level..and ive never heard any Scot Project sets either...anyone know a place where i can check some out? Thanks!
  20. Unfortunately for Padilla..and many dj's that go there..Level..although a beutiful venue, is one of the few places alot of big name dj's do horrible in..i remmeber hearing about Acosta spinning there and the people couldnt stand him on this board...but when he switched to spin..its like the "Level" style stayed at Level..and Acosta brought the Darkness and Vibe back to spin..however...Padilla i have heard is suffering a similar fate in Level..but..i have not gone to see him therefore i cannot be 100% sure of that..I saw Padilla go against Edgar @ Space last year when Friday Nights were still up and running thru Dee Martinelli and Bassline...and they both tore it up... funny how people rant and rave about having dj's replaced when they havent even been to clubs out of state...id say look for a particular genre of music u enjoy....and just find a great venue for it...thats about it...
  21. if u want to knwo where tiesto is playing..he will Definitely be @ Space and at Ultra..but dont be surprised that he may be playing somewhere else too... look up all the acts at WMCWAP.com hope that helps c3
  22. well...other than Saleen, you have got to be the worst cp'er on this board..but you dont see ME saying anything c3 BTW- my list wasnt exactly who i prefer..but if you look at that last you will notice that each dj did their part in making the scene what it is...whether they are good now or not..you cannot dismiss the fact that in their prime they not only had a strong following, but made their mark on our scene as well. and if you dont think Acosta is good..thats fine..but you should have been there for Spin's Touched release party...i dont think ive ever seen any one place hyped up like that before in my life. vibe was extraordinairy.
  23. ok lets see: Deep Dish Yoshitoshi artists Parks and Wilson George Acosta Murk Stryke Taucher Talla 2XLC Judge Jules Dj Wag (WILL COME DOWN TO MIAMI SOON! PLANS ARE BEING DONE AS WE SPEAK!) Dj Dean (his work w/Tunnel Trance Force & DJ Networx cd's KIX ASS!) Danny Daze (local breaks/electro) Baby Anne Jam-X and De Leon Cosmic Gate Dj Tom-X Scot Project (MAY BE COMING DOWN AGAIN SOON!!!) Simply Jeff (Simply Magnificent actually..lol) Edgar V Svenson and Geilen Marco V Jimmy T Deon (Dj Kaenow) David Alexander Sven Vath Crystal Method Saeed and Palash Tall Paul wow..lol come to think of it...i think i have TOO MANY favorites! c3
  24. You..young lady...obviously cannot do so much as FATHOM how difficult it is for superb talent to come down here to miami and play in our local clubs when they can just as well play at superclubs around the world... As it is...some of our local dj's are some of the top resident dj's in the world..if not pioneers of certain kinds of music. Think about it: David Padilla- Level nightclub- ORIGINATOR OF THE MIX AFTERHOURS George Acosta- Spin/ SpiClub- Remember that old house track planet soul? he did it....he is one of the most well known hard trance dj's EVER. Made Shadowlounge the club to be while he was in his prime... Oscar G./Murk- Club Space- If I remember correctly...wasnt he JUST VOTED Best Resident club DJ? and who can deny that the crowds will not be staggering at the least....when MURK (Oscar/Ralph Falcon) come into town? Edgar V- Club Space- If I remember correctly...He was one of the ORIGINAL DJ's for club Space...who caused club Space to creat the "We love Fridays @ Club Space" Tshirts, etc...and even mixed their personal Compilation...Club Space Transmissions. Ariel Baund- Club Spin/ SpiClub- From opening for George Acosta during his previous residency at Level Nightclub to having his own Friday Nights at Spiclub...this up and coming resident dj brings a style of hard house not even the most hardcore TRANCE fanatic can resist...DEFINITELY a local resident to watch. Note- these are off the top of my head...and some are not SoBe dj's...but im positive that one time or another they have had their share of dj'ing at clubs on SoBe...proving they can rock the house anywhere..anytime..anyplace. Lesser known deejay's that are better than the resident dj's are : A- quite scarce, and B- are usually unable to fit the scheduling times of some clubs...also, some aspiring deejays with phenomenal talent pass up alot of club residency offers to keep themselves intimate with the Underground electronic music scene...they are what keeps the scene going... now, as for the SoBe scene...i would bet the farm and say that you have not been to alot of SoBe clubs recently. The reason why i say that is because many local dj's want a shot at the big time...a chance to dj during winter music conference...and even better..Ultra Music Festival..in March. Each dj at this time of the year showcases their strong points and brings out as much fresh music and vibes so they can potentially land a spot during Conference. that way..if they play during conference...they are subject to bigger gigs...such as larger clubs wanting them..or even international gigs. You should thank people like Frank Pacheco, george nuñez, Diego from Space, Biz, Val Smikle..(the list goes on and on)....for being the keys to our scene being as good as it is...from managing talent, to marketing the scene, to promoting the Dj's themselves...each person is instrumental and vital to a Djs' - and in many cases- a clubs' prosperity. comida para su mente C3   WMC...HERE I COME!!!!
