I'd be the Devil's advocate and say that I know kids who got into troubles with the law though I know them well enough to say that they are good, decent people. At the same time there are presidents, ex-presidents, CEOs and other high level officials who should spent the rest of their lives behind the bars. They have done much more damage to this country and the society than many of the drug-users now behind the bars. Only because something is acceptable by the society at large doesn't mean it is morally or ethically right.

theruner; I respect and fully understand your position....like I said ....I myself hardly ever use drugs while going out. But we need to distinguish between ppl who do drugs just to do drugs...just to get fucked up and those who just may need a slight "chemical" boost. Be it a few drinks or even a hit of E - as long as your condition is such that no one would guess you are on something then it's all OK by me. I too hate those who get fucked up....they are in no condition to be at a club or any other public place for that matter.....just stay home.

I have done it but surely couldn't last as long as when I did something (being it e or coke or even some booze and painkillers). Most of the time I just have a few drinks on top of a Vic or Oxy and that keeps me going for 6 hrs of hard dancing. I don't do E anymore, only because I don't tolerate the after-effects too well....I wish I could do it like back in the Twilo times....these were some increadible nights. On the other hand, I never liked to get too fucked up

podes, I think you misunderstood me.....I didn't say you need to stop doing it because it affects your professional life...I said it because once your parents know - you will be watched closely and you may need to give it up (if only for a few months) till the situation cools down and you regain your parents trust. I think any parent would go balistic if they found a reason to suspect that their kid does something illegal (be it drugs or shoplifting or whatnot)

on one hand I must admitt that tix prices are going up....plus the BS with handling fees and such is just outrages....that's why I also buy my tix at Satellite Records... HOWEVER, if you are willing to pay $90 (cheapest) to see Madonna for a few hours...why complain about the prices to an event that last 8 to 12 hrs?? You get to listen to a great music and you can dance too!!

First of all; thanks to all that came to celebrate our triple Birthday party. Thanks for all the wishes and drinks...! It was a blast. Sander was good but still not as good as his 2003 NYE party at Arc. He always gets so much better towards the end of the night...sadly I was really tired by 6AM and decided to split then. Crobar has door policy, but there seem to be some unknow illogical force behind it.....don't know who were the ppls that didn't get in....maybe is more about attitude than what you are wearing. duno.

they are really good....but besides a show a while ago at Avalon they haven't been really visiting NYC area. I know they played a few months back in DC....sadly, I couldn't go PS: DJ Rap is hot

another interesting side note; it's funny that most young ppl (teenage) are either into lame ass pop or into heavy metal or such. I remember me and my friends would make fun of all the electronic music.... " mannnn, they don't even play real instruments...."

don't be devils' advocate. We are talking about addiction (a medical condition), not chronic masturbation or shoppaholics which would fall under habitual or compulsive disorders and not addictions. two very different conditions. PS: coke is physically addictive, however, it's much worse on the psychological level, thus somatic treatment is hardly needed, but there are still meds which should be taken to lessen the impact of coke addiction on your system
