Hi everyone... Did anyone go to Space on Friday night? How was it? or ?

I was there on Friday night and what a crazy night it was! Shannon wasn't that great, but she didn't exactly kill the night either.

No Way!!! I used to live there (palm beach gardens @ border with jupiter)... and believe me the locals aren't friendly. Since there are only like 3 people there under the age of 50, you kind of stand out. And all the women are named "dotty" or "kitty" and hang out at the country club all day looking like Tammy Fay. And don't even get me started on the issue of racism! I thought living there would be great, but after 2 years, I couldn't take it anymore. Definitely a nice place to visit-some of the best shopping I've ever done and the ocean is beautiful... but DEFINITELY would not want to live there.

I'll be there!

I agree... Especially at this point in time when a lot of crucial politics are going on regarding the scene: we need to show our support.

Well, I heard there is a new dj in town! There is a new place opening up VERY soon... as soon as I have more details, I will post them. It's going to be a great place with none of this commercial stuff, just hard house. They are even throwing in a trance night for all you tranzheads. I'll keep you posted... I'm such a tease, but I always follow though.

Once you are done shovelling through my mess... the walls are sand colored with texture, black iron cast canopy bed, mulberry bedroom set w/ deep purple accents, deep purple curtains, and I try to keep away from wood, but when it is necessary, I use a honey colored wood with black iron cast hardware(handles and knobs). I'm really into definition and contrast... as you can probably tell! In FL... Burdines is the best place to find a great bedroom set. If you are looking for something nice and cheap then go to Bed Bath & Beyond. Acessories: Definitely Marshalls and TJ Maxx.

She does a great job using contrast...even her fabrics: She uses a stiff fabric and then pair it with chiffon. I love that.

LP- I've been listening to house music for a long time. Before Space opened, I used to have to travel 3 or 4 hours to party banquet halls people would rent in rinkydink shopping malls just to hear my fav beatz. House music wasn't played in any of the clubs around here. In the late 80's to mid 90's there were SOBE clubs that were raided almost every month. I remember they would shut the doors and turn on the lights and check each and every person. Are clubgoers going to have to go through this again? (Not just @S34 but anywhere we go?) Space34 has a lot of supporters and although I think you've got a HUGE mess on your hands... you'll overcome it! You have some great advice from a bunch of different people on this thread. Although "novelas" carry out on these boards ("As the Page Turns") about Space, some of us would hate to see S34 go. David was great. Never got to meet him in person but I would always speak to him on the phone or email and make all the arrangements for my group with him. Always a gem. I heard he's now working for Opium. Haven't been there in a long time. Gotta see how he turns it out!

I think the key word is "used." Believe me, I'm not claiming to be an expert or anything of such... but have you really been to Tantra's lately? I "used" to go there religously and had some great times. I didn't mind paying so much money for drinks or not being able to even move around and dance to my favorite beats bc it was so crowded. I even payed cover if they asked us to. The place was great and well worth it!!! There was a group of like 12 of us and we would go there every weekend. We were very good customers. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, the staff started treating everyone like shit. We were on a first name basis with the doorman and he actually charged my friend $25 to re-enter bc he went outside to use his cell phone. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Waiters pushing my friends aroundeven though there was a path cleared for them. I thought it was personal but then a lot of complaints were being heard from different people. We said we'd never return again. I hope things have recently changed at Tantra's for the better since then- I hope they are doing great and I wish them well... but I don't think they have the best party on the beach: ANYMORE.
