the truth about lot 401
i want to take a minute to clear up some info about the our saturday night at lot 401. i guess with multiple promoters doing different nights of the week, there has been some confusion.
first, the cover for "shake" saturday's IS NOT $20. i wish! no... just kidding. our night features NO COVER. and, for a reason. when jim and i were putting this together, one topic that came up was the headache of lists and confusion at the door, lines, etc.. why hassle people when all they want to do is come to your party?! this room is much smaller than clubs we previously worked at and, we simply didn't want to bring all the "big room drama" to this night. this one is for true party people and NOT for mainstream baby steppers who don't know the difference. we want you and your party to get in quickly, hassle free and rock the room with your party vibe.
two, drink prices. they ARE NOT over priced. actually they are VERY average for providence and even less, in some cases, than other hot spots. and, our bar staff is top shelf and NEVER skimps! you know me! trust me on this one! ok...lol.
we have our own parking, it's free, it's safe. no, you won't have to drive around in circles trying to find a spot that doesn't cost 10-20 bucks, where someone won't sideswipe your car. it's well lit and it's watched.
now... can we get to the party?
martin and i are having effortless fun in the booth, dropping fresh bombs for you week after week. however, that's after we work at finding this music for you all week. this only fuels our enthusiasm and anticipation about every saturday because, for the first time, in a long time, we are both TRULY defining the sound of the room and the direction of the party. there is SO much amazing house music coming out every week and we get to deliver it without anyone tapping on our shoulder. this is NOT radio! this is NIGHTLIFE! you know us. you know we know our music. you can trust us to bring you the best we can find to set this one off.
i would also like to mention that the room features TKO sound, as installed by boston's own, rick naples. this means it's crystal clear and... IT BANGS! it WILL "shake" the room...lol.
promotions... i have to say, jim has been hard at work at putting some great things together. he scored numark as a sponsor. they make some some great new dj gear, some of which i am actually testing out for them as we speak. plus they are smart enough to sponsor cats like carl cox and roger sanchez. the guys at numark are awesome and they are going to team up with us to bring you some AMAZING "shake special events".
now look, i know there is alot to do in the summer and the beach is always beckoning but, this party is calling you to. it's nothing like we've done before and it's better than we've done before. i haven't seen alot of you in a long time so, shower off the sand and come on out to "shake" it with us!

well, dj kulture has been making a whole lot of noise lately with his aftadark crew. with aftadark's endless stream of after-hours parties at rhode island's "pulse" and "therapy" nightclubs, regular guest appearances at rhode island's "plush" and lot 401, boston's "venue" and afterhour parties from the likes of tweak, volume and new era, kulture has built a solid reputation of manhandling big room dancefloors with hypnotic progressive and techy tribal house. always on the cutting edge with brand new music for the masses of contemporary house music culture, kulture truly lives up to his dj moniker. make some noise for dj kulture!

providence = strip joint
um beantown sucks for strip joints yo. you need to come to providence.
we have more strip joints, per capita, than any other state in the u.s..
i live downtown and there are prolly a dozen within a five mile radius of my apt.
from peoples reviews, i would recomend these... foxy lady, desire, and fantasies. if you are a filth pig and are looking for all-out hoes, sportsman inn and cheaters are you best bet. you could always refer to the providence phoenix web site, they may have listings. good luck.

resident dj ede armand, the signature "plush sound" some "big room drama" a few "plush anthems" and a hot new jam that dj martin jr. (h.u.m.p.) promised he would bring to the booth for what looks to be the closer anthem of all closer anthems!
plush will also feature a special floor filling set from two young brothers who are making their way through the ranks with their first major appearance in club-land. bobby and scott texeira, better known as "the tek brothers" have been making alot of noise at parties all over the south coast and were even featured at tweak's weekly "h.u.m.p." social, where they walked away with rave reviews.

but it isn't enough to just have these guys ROCK THE ROOM TOGETHER...
we're bringing the dj booth down to the dancefloor and setting these guys up, to TAG TEAM LIVE AND IN THE MIX ON FOUR TURNTABLES!
