  1. You know I will be there. With the entire 718 sessions crew. I know he is going to bring the thunder. I don't think he gonna stick to the classics like at the sessions. This nights it is all about house music. Get the Souldiers ready Gabe this night Sol is ganna learn what house is about.
  2. ^^^^ Your myspace is serious.
  3. I'm down just look for the kid with the smooth foot work killing the SF shuffle circles. I just hope Morillo lets out some soul in between the big room booms. I'm going for that Funky sound droppin around 9am.
  4. Krivit has taken deep house into another realm. Francois K pushes tech and dub like no one else. Derrick Cater has brought the chicago sound from that smooth classic sound to that Hard Hit and Snar that the young generation loves. If these cats havent evolved in their sound then I don't think house music has even progressed.
  5. Dress up and bring your dance clothes in a bag then change once your inside.
  6. THat was the longest contest ever Cricket won. Once it was over the party just got nuts every one got down.
  7. Marques Wyatt nice on the deep end of things.
  8. Willie is a vogue legend a very talented dancer and great person. Brian and Ejoe are true house Masters; some of the most amazing foot work you could imagine and every beat is hit. It is as if the music possesses them, this is a not to be missed event if you love house and house dance. Time to take some notes and Update your moves. The house battle should be interesting. Who knows what we will get to see with all the new developments in house dance? Hope some of you CP Heads make it out.
  9. Hope some of you guys check this out ... It doesnt hurt to try something different.
  10. Taken from another Board: "Sunday, after hearing that my friend got negged and went home, I left Le Souk and decided to check out Club Love. Whoa!... Deep! At 2 AM when I got there, there was a line--about 10 people--but it only lasted about 10 mins (it was one man enter one man leave at that point), the liners were all affable and gregarious, making jokes, talking to strangers, and the door people were actually trying to alleviate the line. Compared to the line at Le Souk: which I've stood on for 30 mins, everyone anxious or annoyed, and the line herder making no secret that guys are personas non grata and good looking people get prefential treatment, it was refreshing. Also, it was free (that night anyway), and pretty jumping! If Le Souk is your crowd you might not jive with the Love-ites; they are quite possibly the antithesis of the Le Soukian beautiful upscale yupsters. Lots of multi-racial, lower-class, oddly-dressed, hip-hop culture, sweaty, smelly, bugger-outers... But they were on just a different level of partying. Yoga-cizing, whole-body-gyrating, You're-OK-I'm-OK-ulating. No headnodding, no bunny-hopping raverdance, not even a breakdancing circle. And their fervor and intensity was impressive. I had heard people raving about Love's sound system but you really have no idea until you hear it! So loud, and clear as a... very clear thing! Also I like what they do with the lights. The main floor is a boxy black room. But it's not dark. Hectic lights keep the place visible, and I dig that they will turn on all the blacklights periodically for extended periods. A lot of patrons are dark-skinned and wear lots of white and bright colors and the effect is mildly trippy. I like also that the dance floor is a room devoted to dancing. There is no bar in it around which stationary people tend to agglomerate, and the layout is centrally focused (as opposed to DJ-booth focused). The music is hard to describe in absolute terms or deconstruct. It is largely varied and features many elements of worldly styles: African and Latin American drums, Spanish guitar, Indian sitar, Middle-Eastern... whatever those things are. Uplifting is a term that frequently comes to mind. Claussell played till 4:20 and threw in some really disparate, off-the-beaten-path tunes at the end. Great stuff! So if you're not worried about the next person next to you, if it doesn't matter what they have on, if it doesn't matter what they smell like, Love might be your thing." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was there have to say this review of New Years Day at Love is on the money.
  11. The Bull goes way back... Gabe you were so skinny back then.
  12. looks Like I'm going to make an aperance at Sol. How bigs the dance floor? I dont want to kick any one.
  13. Gabe it should be your BDay at least once a month. I new that you would bring together a crowd of true heads. I have to say that was one of the better parties of the year and there wasn't even a big name DJ. All the sets where tight. We got to hear every thing from deep, tech, tribal, to vocal. Jack was in the mother funkin HOUSE. THe live percussion made the night your boy on the Killed it. I can't say it enough this was one great party. Gabe people with your energy and vibe is what keeps House a live; keep it up don't stop doing what your doing.
  14. If a song is truely a classic it never sounds dated. It just that now a days they give the title of classic to any new top ten hit.
  15. I'm going to stay away from the cazyness and over priced admission and going to Shelter.
  16. ^ The next show at the next HDC sounds promessing... How much is those the HDC DVD go for and can I get it online? Also do you still have a house dance class running?
  17. What about room? That dance floor looks mad crowded. I need extra space to get down.
  18. By the way did he take naps or was he dancing with tina all 81hr and 6 min.
  19. For a good six months I lived of the memories of 6 Hubert. I replayed many of those parties in my head. Sitting on a speaker at some random NYC venue... but i have learned to move on... NYC is popping right now don't worry about what you missed out on... Enjoy what is out there now.
  20. Does anyone else find Timmy to be a little tired? I don't like to spread hate and I do love the deep side of house but Timmy just plays all the hits. I can train spot most of the tracks your going to hear at Shelter. There is never anything surprising at the Shelter. But I guess that's how you hold on to a 14yr residency by staying consistent.
  21. Most of the dancers at that party down with Shanon's crew there deep into jacking. They are the crew behind Housedancer.com. Anyway for those of you looking to see more house dancing check out this party on Friday. You see a few different style at this party some bboys, lofters, new school NYC house dancers. This party is worth checking out.
