I got that style on locked down... Just ask around... I like diversity... besides I started to dance house at SF to JP... but Cleveland used to hold it down in the basement. You have to start some where.

You missed my point... There was a picture of Crazy Legs who is a BBoy. The thread is titled 'Some "housedancing" clips for ya to enjoy!'. There for it is about house dancing. I think the clips are all of house dancers and so are the pics. With the exception of Crazy legs... I just want to point out that house dance is a well defined style of dance. In house dance we have certain set forms: jacking, lofting, footwork.. House dance main focus is what b-boys would call top. What house dancers call Jacking and Footwork. When a house dancer goes to the floor he is using lofting movements. House dance is a continues flow to the music. The House dancer does not dance to the music but with the music. The dancer and the music are one. To be cliche we as house dancers have to feel the vibe. Bboys dance to the break. They battle and dance against the music. The style is very aggressive but with absolute respect. In bboy culture achiving respect is important. In a house circle getting respect or out doing others in the circle is not the objective. The reason for the circle is to express the connection to the music, to spread the vibe.

Why do people always bring up Bboys when there talking about House dance? It is like apples and oranges. You can break to house but that is not house dance. There are many other great dancers in new york and some are both house dancers and bboys but please do not compare the the two styles. No one compare salsa dancers to tango dancers.

No sarcasm just wanted to know what you considered new school house dance? I know there are lofters. Then there are people who stick to jacking, and some bboys like to dance to house.

Too bad Cielo doesnt have anyspace to dance. I wish New York still had Med size rooms..

Joe attracts a very mixed crowd. What do you consider the new school house dance? Just out of curiosity. Did any circles form? Love is a little tight for that but maybe they did.

I read some where there having extended hours because of the holiday.. But those hours are usually normal for house parties on Sundays. Think Body and Soul, 718 sessions all these parties have these hours. Check it out you might enjoy the vibe.. Took me a little time to get it.. Used to be big on the harder progresive tribal but now im down with the deeper end. Still love banging hard tribal.

Best space in NYC if you ask me.. Big enough to Dance...House dance, No shufflers... The sound hits your chest cavity like a jackhammer. Makes you feel every groove on the record.. lights think 6 Hubert... and plenty of space to lounge around and enjoy the party... This is a House Heads Paradise

I love house and will never give it up. I do not care how deeply I am romantically involved.. I am willing to make a compromise. Maybe go out less frequently or listen to her music when she is in the car. But lets say there is going to be a Body N Soul reunion on her birthday she better let me go.
