  1. i've never been up there, but if i were a hot model or a celebrity i'd find a nicer place to hang out than the upstairs of avalon.
  2. i've only heard the mix they've been playing on radio1 the past few weeks, seems to be the same one.
  3. the sexy left that place a while ago. last few parties were total disasters.
  4. i don't care what club he spins at or how many people are gonna be there, if it's in nyc im fuckin there!!!
  5. first one is a pretty predictable one, GTI, i absolutely love that song on a sick system, esp when he does the mixes where the buildup is mad long and then just drops it. another is ficken no 3 by thomas schumacher, sick sick track, the bass on that is insane...ah brings back factory moments
  6. i def remember seeing all of you from the descriptions. we should have a jp meetup next time. i was wearing a long sleeve green shirt btw (friday night man, all my shit was dirty) with rolled up sleeves. anyway, music wise, im with gmoney, i love when jp just goes off hard and techy and hate it when he plays long ass vocals. it depends though, some vocals i still like. haha, this actually reminds me of the hurting, i fucking absolutely hated that song, and one time at factory he must have played it for a good 45 minutes, i thought i was gonna flip out.
  7. i heard that he's scheduled for two more appearances there, don't know how accurate that is cause i heard it from a kid in a club. but im def there if/when he comes back, fri night was sick.
  8. i was the kid with the spiky hair, haha, oh wait. i haven't seen peters since new year's at exit so im not really familiar with his track selection. however, one mix was absolutely tight, when he dropped the silence acappella (sp?) over steve lawlers's lost, shit was tizite
  9. jesus why with the constant negativity on this board. what makes you think anybody wants to see YOU in the sunlight. if you don't like a party just don't go there. and then people wonder why the scene sucks.
  10. im gonna say that normally im not really a peters fan, i've experienced quite a few nights where he was just terrible. with that out of the way, i have to say that last night was absolutely sick. the man could do no wrong (except for that one trainwreck towards the end of the night, but whatever), he was on fire. it was my first time at merge as well and i have to say that i was pleasantly surprised. the system in there is pretty good and peters kept it on the edge of distortion all night long, the bass was HEAVY. my ears are soo fucked right now, but it was a great night, well worth it. hot girls everywhere, good dancers everywhere, and actually a party with a great vibe, looked like everyone there was out to have a good time.
  11. just another reason it's gay that this is not at roxy. it would be hilarious if a tiesto fan gets turned away cause he doesn't have any girls with him.
  12. im still trying to figure out why i find that bleeding tongue somewhat arousing.
  13. wow, i don't think i've seen a single person on this board give any props to waxman. i've never seen him but judging from all the responses he's about as much liked as louie devito. is it his track selection, mixing, why is he so bad?
  14. did the jersey shore thing. how was dt and victor btw, did they pack the place? i was really set on going, until i found out it was like 35 bucks. you know you're in trouble when clubs start charging that much for city djs, i'll pay that for pvd or tiesto, but for dt, who i could have seen at arc for 15, i dont' think so. anyway, had a blast at seaside though, despite the fact that it was ridiculous. going to seaside is like that moped joke, it's all fun and games until your friends see you there, haha. but it was awesome, it was like being at a guido theme party and everyone was trying to top the next guy. im def breaking out my capris for next weekend and doing it full jersey style. tempts was hot though, the music was tight.
  15. he was just here a few months ago at i think crobar, so he's prolly not coming back for a while.
  16. just wanted to let you guys know that this stuff is absolutely the best tasting protein that i've ever had. it's made by syntrax and the line is called nectar. they have all diff flavors, so far i've just tried one, it's called apple extacy, it is absolutely delicious. it's pretty pricey, about 27 bucks for 2 lbs, but i only use it at work since it's really easy to mix, and i don't have to use a blender. there's no clumping or anything. stuff has the regular 23 grams of protein per serving, no fat, no sugars at all, not sure about the carbs, maybe 2-3 grams. def worth checking out!
  17. i'd go as far as saying that i kinda miss those days of plasmic honey and scot project all over the place. but as people have said, listening back to those tracks now, it's pretty basic stuff as far as production goes. my tastes have def changed since those days of bouncing around to the funeral, haha, i still love that song though. i'd say that the music now is as strong as ever if not stronger, it's evolving and i think that's a positive. i still do enjoy the oldies every once in a while though.
  18. scott grooves - the journey, such a hot hot track. kinda mellow but sooo good.
  19. gotta love the almost 9 dollar service charge from ticketfast. anyone know how much the tickets are at satellite?
  20. hey all finally upgraded to those technics that i always wanted, so im getting rid of these two that got me started on this whole djing thing. they are about two years old, still in awesome condition, have always been treated with great care by me, never been out of my room. only used to spin house/trance, not abused with hip hop records and scratching. they come with all the original materials, but i don't have the boxes for em. also including the cartridges with them, stanton 500 IIs as well as a pair of slipmats. these would be a great starting set for someone, just like it was for me when i bought em (bought them new). these are direct drive and have great torque. take a look at the pics below to see what they look like (almost exactly like a pair of technics) trying to get 350 for the both of em, if interested let me know, send me a PM. located in the NYC area for pickup.
  21. coca and villa - la noche bana kuba - bare brass steve lawler - lost inkfish vs david west - aftermath peyton - a higher place peace division - deeper xpress2 - strobelight silhuoette
  22. avalon should read what you just said, their crowds are awful. i love the djs they bring in, but they really should do something about the door.
  23. cox is def a better dj, but tong has more promos than god. i would go see him just for the tracks.
  24. just his show or the entire radio1 lineup? if it's everything that would be hot, i wouldn't get it just for his show though.
  25. yea i had a blast as well. i won those tickets that you can sign up for, so it was me and three of my friends getting in for free, which was pretty hot. this is the third time im seeing him and he def consistently spins some really good music. can't wait to check him out again.
