I deal with Body English on a weekly basis and I will tell you that is not typical of them. Next time you gotta speak up or talk to a senior host. But using an independent host does work in your favor. They never try to screw us.

I was there too. Had a cabana way across the pool from the dj booth. Jeremy Piven and the other dude from Entourage had the cabana next to ours. Glaude was pretty damn good on the decks, as was dig dug. Man there's nothing like watching the pool, sippin on veuve eating liqour soaked fruit at 2pm. good times, good times.

Let me tell you my opinion at Rain. Rain was a THE spot in it's heyday. When MTV was doing hteir show and the Palms was fresh meat. But in reality, I think MTV fucked it up for them. I htink MTV fucked it up in general, but that's a different conversation. 9 times out of 10 you will never see a seasoned club veteran hitting up Rain. The reason is.....those coming from back woods alabama or tennessee (no offense) who doesn't know what a real club is know what they see on MTV. So they go there. What do they do when they get there, stand along the wall lip syncing Ludacris all night. Not only that, all they do is grab a girls arm as they walk by. Sorry to the fellas that do that but seriously.......NO CLASS. I'd rather spend my time at the "trendier" spots with those who know how to party it up, have a good time and not act like drunk frat boys. That's what the Beach is for. Also who the hell thought it would be a good idea to pack a club and then light a fire? Is it not hot enough?? Rain and Light were at the top of their game, before Body English ushered in the new era of the Uber VIP cClubs. I'd still choose Light any day over Rain.

I like Skribbles and all. Think he's a talented dj. But I have to tell you, when he dj'd BE he sucked ass. He train wrecked at least 3-4 times a night. I think they got so many complaints.

I'm not sure if Rehab will have pre-sales for MDW. My suggestion, get there at 9am or so. MDW is going to be freggin insane. Thank god for season passes hahaha....sorry=(

I think Tao's pool will be on point. Just imagine Pure's patio with a pool. Freggin awesome! Skin I'm not to keen on. Red Rock I haven't been but have been told it's similiar to Green Valley's Whiskey. Also last year GVR did a pretty good party during the summer and most of the locals ended up going there rather than Rehab. ukjay, how the hell have I not run into you yet?

I didn't think it was too bad. Mind you that this was my 1st time EVER makin it to Rehab. I got there around 3pm and it took but 5 mins to get in. I did have a season pass (comp'd thanks to Body English) but I wasn't given that till I was already inside. I was on the upper floors hanging out by the smaller pool but still overlooking the main pool area. Good vibes, good beats. Of course you always have the dumb meat heads, and the fellas in speedos (never a good idea), and dumb drunk chicks. But hey don't you always? Ran into Chuck Liddell who had a cabana. Chris Clouse was there too soakin it in. Cool night. Body English that night was insane too. Hey Greenie, you gonna make it to Rehab on Sun MDW??? Tiesto is spinning. If so you're with me on my season pass.

You could get into Tao with a 1 bottle min. You would be in the lounge though, but would still be able to roam the whole club. Tryst is a cool option too.

Curve use to be my spot way back in the day. I was real tight with Simon and Rachel. Since they left it went to shit. Good for them though, they're out in Havasu with their own club. Damn I gotta check it out.

Pure's patio plays some pretty decent house as well as Tao's lounge. Also Body English on Sundays has opened up their parlor on Sundays and it's an all house format in there.

I think Tryst is a mainly hip-hop format, but they did drop some house towrds the end of the night, round 3am or so.

This is my opinion, even though I am a Body English whore... Both clubs have great decor and sound. Tryst is larger and the outside patio and lake is DOPE! That's gonna be on point in the summer. The vibe is a bit different at each spot though. Body English tends to be a more, no holds barred get your groove on and party, where Tryst is the perfect blend of club meets lounge. I don't mean ultra-lounge because to say that would be an insult. Tryst is definitely a spot to get your groove on and I like the fact that the dancefloor starts inside the club and goes out onto the patio. Oh and love that little stage with the pole lol Great job on the remodel! I think you'll find me at Tryst a bit more often now (didn't like it when it was Le Bete). I think Tryst is bringing stiff competition for the other clubs, mainly for Tao on Thurs (locals night) but I think that Body English will always be king on Sundays. So I guess to answer your question it's not a matter of which club is better but do we think Tryst is on par with the other hot spots. I definitely think that Tryst is on par with all the other hotspots, now. My top clubs, Body English, Jet, Tao, Pure and Tryst. All for different reasons and based on which night of the week.

They have about 3 that works at Body English and 2 at Pure. As for Body English the doormen or securtiy guards wont be able to do squat for you. They use a door host which walks the rope there. If he doesn't know you, forget about it. If you drop a familiar name and you're on the list then you stand a better chance. If you see a little asian kid with a shaved head and tattoos flag him down, he is the unofficial door host for Body and should be able to help heehee

I think DnB and Breaks will do fine at Ice. Just have the DnB in the mainroom and Breaks in the other. When I use to work the Popsicle events in SF they had DnB and Breaks in the same room. It worked out fine. I've noticed most people that got into the seen liking Trance, typically graduated to House and most people that got into the scene liking DnB eventually graduated to Breaks. To me they almost go hand in hand. Just my .02

That's the one thing I never understood about Drais. Pay cover and bottles?? Well hey Kassia and Holly is still there, as well as our beloved darkvixen.
