  1. you've never heard Kimball spin breaks? he's a little more versatile than your average "trance" dj.... i quoted trance because he doesn't spin a lot of the traditional trance....
  2. yeah not bad...'cept for that one little hiccup... but generally a real nice set....
  3. wow...i heard that klank! lock it up before you pull the x-fader...sheez....
  4. these commercial breaks are pretty fuggin' annoying in any case...
  5. sounds like Kimball to me... (i've probably seen Kimball spin more than any other DJ since '94....) thanks! good background music while i chill for once on a friday night and get ready for tomorrow...
  6. that was my justification as well... in any case, it'll be interesting to see how the two differ...if at all...
  7. actually, they are. and supposedly the DVD is going to be slightly different.
  8. yeah, i tried to get to my DV camera, so i could get a nice clean 1st generation record to transfer to my 'puter....but no dice with the RCAs... ah well...got it on ye' ole VHS though... good enough...
  9. it's hard to see anyone really... flashes through the crowds so fast... i barely caught a glimpse of myself during Kevens. O.B.E. gives me fuggin' chills when i see it on video w/ Dave playing it...
  10. uhhh.... uh heh huh... testes....1....2.... testes.... uh heh huh....that was cool....
  11. it's playing at my BBQ tomorrow... but i'm in Ft Liquordale (err....Lickerdale) and i won't even try to compete with a Q that's got a 220 reply thread...
  12. after watching Ultra...and reminiscing on what a good time we all had, etc etc etc... blah blah blah.... i just gotta' say... the girls of South FL... good gawd! we have the best looking females in all of USA! (this is just my unprofessional opinion of course) anyways... the girls of South FL! carry on...
  13. and i retract (sorta') the earlier comment about PVD... they show another spot of him spinning records, etc... but i've seen him do quite a few less-than-amatuer things in the past. *cough*lastyearsultra*cough*
  14. TIP: DO NOT USE RCA's to record it....it's scrambled! only clear signal comes out of a coaxial to record. took me a minute to figure that out...but i have my copy now.
  15. i've watched the whole thing twice...it's a pretty decent set of "highlights"... the Rabbit material is great... the PVD spot is a big laugh... he hits play on the Powerbook, and basically does nothing else (3 turntables w/o a single piece of vinyl on them)...watches the crowd...does Oaky's signature JC pose.... (weak!) blah blah...
  16. (btw - this includes lyricists and anyone that feels they have something to contribute)
  17. (or even people aspiring to be any of the above mentioned) just completed a new phase of planetNEXUS. if you don't know what this is, i built an online global music collaboration a couple of years ago. the "NEXUS" part stands for Never Ending Xchange of Underground Sounds. until now, it's been semi-private, with only about 20 members. but now i'm opening it to all who would like to participate. this is how it works... you collaborate on projects with other members via the Project forums. file exchange is done underneath the site with an ftp server. this is NOT, i repeat, NOT a place to exchange copyrighted music. this is a place of creativity....only original material is allowed. new features: - we used to use ezboards (GRRR!), but i've since replaced that two-year-running POS with a brand new set of forums that run much smoother and have a much easier interface. - new ftp server that i run on my personal private network. - "Selections" section will now be able to hold more completed songs so members can have their completed works displayed, and can link to them from elsewhere on the internet. many of you have a load of incomplete material that you just don't know what to do with...i know i do. or maybe you just need an environment that fosters creativity. or maybe you don't know the first thing about creating or recording music of any style, and need to be steered in the right direction. many great collaborations have already been built on these needs here already. personally, i have to say that it's a more than interesting feeling when you finish a track with the combined efforts of others across the globe, yet haven't physically met them in person. so...pack some good vibes and positive outlooks, and click your way over to planetNEXUS and join the fun... take care... -kable
