Later, in the end of the 80's when AcidHouse reached the Continent, he was infected by the sound and energy of this new type of clubmusic. His deejay career started with playing at small club and private parties and soon Vincenzo was involved in Hamburg’s club scene. Steve Bug, who lived in Hamburg and realized his talent, featured Vincenzo by getting him several DJ-gigs, e.g. at the party-series 'Reduced‘ at Hamburgs cult club F.r.o.n.t.. Next to his DJ activities, Vincenzo starts producing his own tracks: In the end of 1995 he released his first single together with Sandro Catallo, 'Brunchbox EP‘ on Raw Elements (Raw 603) and his first solo track called 'Enchantment‘ followed on the 1st Raw Elements compilation. Together with Duffer Swift, he established the project Cascade, which had releases on Stickman/Canada and on Stoopidness (PHONO-Sublabel). In addition to that Vincenzo releases a number of 'Vincenzo‘ singles on Raw Elements and left Germany in the end of 1997 to spent a six months time in New York City, where he teamed up Alexi Delano (SVEK). 1998 is the year of Vincenzo´s solo album debut. "1-800 Vincenzo“ on Dessous Rec. gains worldwide attention and establishes Vincenzo in the first league of international respected producers. Two of the album tracks were released on seperate 12“es - "Peace Is Not The Word To Play“ incl. a remix by I: Cube and "King´s Last Ride“ featuring a rework by Ian Pooley. In summer 1999 Vincenzo and San Francisco House shooting star DJ Rasoul started their project "Days Drive By“ and Vincenzo also began to work with Nottingham’s John Buckby aka Schmoov as well as deejaying worldwide. In 2001 Vincenzo compiled and mixed the successful first 'Strip Joint Grooves‘ Compilation. The great success underlined once more his DJ talent - more international bookings followed across Europe. For San Francisco‘s Transport Label he delivered the 2nd Satin Soul 12“ with Elmar Schubert while his 'Different Cities, Different Songs‘ 12“ on Dessous became a strong clubhit in all premium house clubs worldwide. After the great success of 'Strip Joint Grooves Vol.1‘ the second volume mixed & compiled by Vincenzo was released in early 2002, which doesn‘t mean he forgot to focus on his own production work. He finished the work on his 2nd album `Welcome To Zanarkand`(release 10/02) and the first outtake single of the album 'The Charmer‘ came out, as well as the Silver Network release 'Snider & Satin Souls‘ together with Marc Schneider and Elmar Schubert. Besides his remixes for labels such as Naked Music and !K7 and his productions on Liebe*Detail, Was Not Was and Winding Records, his release on Dessous "Things Like That“ in collaboration with Steve Ferrand in summer 2005 gained loads of international respect and proved one more time that VIncenzo is always hip and know how to rock floors all over the world. In fact, he has even recorded a track with porn star Terri Summers. Who we have never heard of....until now (ahem). In 2006 he released another stunning 12“ on Dessous. "Time Out“ became an essential summer tune, followed by two nice releases on CSM and Liebe*Detail. After living and producing in Barcelona for a few years, Vincenzo moved to Berlin in summer 2007. Just back in Germany, he finished working on the latest Dessous compilation called "Dessous - Best Kept Secrets“, a double-cd with - as the name suggest - many of the hidden pearls from the Dessous backcatalogue on CD1 and an incredible deep Vincenzo DJ mix on CD2. As we know our hard working boy Vincenzo, this compilation will - surely - not be his last stroke of genius. Let‘s see how the Berlin air will influence his productions...
