  1. beer: bass booze: jack and coke
  2. we're talking 2-3 years of sitting underneath of clothes in a closet. there's a decent sized stem (about 3 inches) and the rest is largely powder/really broken up. All in all it's about an 1/8th. They still stink like boomers. Any thoughts on ingesting these guys? Any experiences?
  3. Whenever I do a shit load of coke I'll feel ok and then later when I try to sleep I notice that my heart is flying, i'm sweating, etc... Anyway, already paranoid from the coke and I started thinking what if I did too much.. Does any one here have any ideas on whether it's possible that you'll OD (or just get medically fucked up, whether it qualifies as an OD or not who cares) like 2 hrs after you did alot of shit. In other words, will it only occur in the process/immediately after doing too much or do you think it could happen later when you're laying down after a binge to sleep? The idea usually crosses my mind after it's been a real long nite (like 4 hrs) of blowing lines pretty consistently after a nite at the bar (so from like 2-6 of doing coke and then attempting to lay down at like 8- retarded I know). If this post makes no sense, I'll try to clarify.
  4. do you think that mixx is worth the $? We can find a shit hole to stay at and just to go to the party right? Or is it a better idea to just stay out of ac all together for this nite? come on people help me out here. thanks.
  5. Hello... im considering going down to ac for new years eve. Is this a good idea and does anyone know of what clubs to go to or what clubs to avoid? I've only been down there once, and not for new years, we went to the club in the trump casino (i think) which was ok. So basically any info is helpful. thanks.
  6. coke. If I stay home and don't drink I'm fine, but once I get out...
  7. i just realized that i misread your comment that i quoted tres. so my above comment doesnt make much sense...the article is still interesting though...
  8. I thought that for a while too, but there was a pretty cool article in the op-ed section of the nytimes a couple weeks ago about this population that lives somehwere in the pacific totally out of touch with modern technology and basically no contact with the world at all. The girl who wrote the article, Dea Birkett explained how even without these influences there was a huge problem on the island with child molestation and rape and shit. Here's a link but the article is old so you gotta pay $ to read it: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F20D12FE38590C7A8EDDA90994DC404482&n=Top%252fOpinion%252fEditorials%2520and%2520Op%252dEd You could try a google with the authors name and the name of the article to see if anyone ripped it off the times site. "Island of Lost Girls"
  9. the differences I think are 1. its a woman and a civilian (1st time this has happened I think) 2. she's been living there for years and was helping iraqis throughout the sanctions of the 1990's. She hadnt just arrived to help rebuild/humanitarian after the invasion, which the insurgents likely view as part of the invasion and part of the attempt by the US/UK to solidify its presence in iraq after the rebuilding is done. (I dont agree with them, but its almost understandable) I didnt mean to minimize the other killings/murders at all if thats the way it came out. And, I feel you on your doubts about the reports coming out of iraq, but I think both sides distort it.
  10. I've been trying to be pretty understanding about the goals/methods of the insurgents in iraq, but this one really gets to me. This lady has been in Iraq for years and is a director at CARE international which does humanitarian work... here's a link to an article about her murder and her career. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=514&u=/ap/20041117/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_hostage_23 Anyone have any thoughts this latest kidnapping and murder? Makes me feel like the recent Marine shooting the insurgent in the mosque is a-ok. Oh yea, and the argument about the sanctity (sp?) of the mosque is bullshit. these guys were firing upon US and Iraqi forces FROM the mosque. SO, its ok to shoot and kill people from a mosque, but its not ok to kill that person in it?!?!? I dont follow that logic. (yea yea he was injured and unarmed, fuck that- they are strapping traps to injureds so when US/Iraqi forces go to help, they blow up) . Just ranting... Thoughts?
  11. gotcha, thanks for the info
  12. its a small pill, theres no markings on it, and it looked kinda beat up....i dont think there much to have to "get" in order to avoid briefly mistaking it for something other than a pharmy. any idea what it might be based on my description above? tghanks in advance
  13. Hey- I found this little pill- it has no writing on it, but I think its a xanax. it is purple. does anyone know the mg's of these? its small as fuck so i thought it was e at first, but it doesnt taste like that at all. its round too. thanks in advance.
  14. what time does this place usually stay open till??
  15. yea why go ceramic?? I personally would go for 12-18 inches of glass...you gotta go with glass...as far as web sites, fuck that- go to a store (you'll pay alot but atleast you'll be certain as to what you're actually buying)
  16. No dress code for direct drive, but as far as places mentioned by other people, i have no idea
  17. if you like dnb you can go to Direct Drive @ Rare-- usually has a pretty nice crowd and its cheap (admission is like 5-10$, drinks like 5-8). not sure about who's djing there this week though. hope this helps. edit: This is Saturday nites
  18. looks like its gonna be tenaglia...thanks for all the replies. i never been to any of DT's shows (former raver, not club guy at all). does he spin all house or what? does the pink room have techno? also- i just found out that the Green room at ikon is dnb now.. nice to get away from the main floor for a litte!
  19. hey, so i had plans for avalon on friday. BUT- I just saw the lineup and its Tony Draper, I wasnt aware of this. So, I'm asking for any ideas/lineups that are happening this friday the 29th. basically, not a rave but some hard techno/funky house would be nice (not into the deep house sound) thanks.
  20. dsl was at sullivan room this summer with ak1200 and dara for their potd tour-- twas hot. but there is plenty of dnb to be had in nyc right now: saturday direct drive @ rare, mondays konkrete jungle is still rocking, camoflauge is on tuesdays, plus I heard that Agency (they did the thursday nite dnb parties at avalon last winter) is doing a Friday nite room each week at Ikon... Plenty of dnb around, just gotta look.
  21. hey everyone im new to the boards--- richie hawtin
  22. I think this fear is misguided. The majority of people do not want an oppressive islamic regime. Those that do are extremists- called so for a reason- they represent an extreme point of view aka a minority. A truly open, free, and democratic election (without the fear instilled by these extremists upon voters) will result in the majority winning and electing ldeaership that has islamic values (ntohign wrong or scary about that) but does not choose to impose them so strictly on the electorate (or the rest of the world). my .02.
  23. im with tres...I dont know how i would react if a girl i was with had one done, but its not my place and def not the govt's place. im sure you all heard about the bishops (or was it priests?) rfusing to give communion to pro-choice politicians. crazy shit.
  24. I think that the war in iraq was a very good idea and remains as such. The problem, as we are now witnessing, is that for some reason (beyond me) george and his boys did not properly plan for the reconstruction. a successful mission in iraq is still possible, but it will require a longer period of time and greater political unity at home now. what aggravates me the most is how important this mission is and that there was no need to rush into it. I still agree with the neo-con foreign policy, but it sucks that its implementation in the region got started (and possibly fucked) in this terrible way. anyone with half a brain knew that success would be measured by the reconstruction...fucking kills me.
  25. babbo- ok, that was mad interesting, but it didnt answer my question about why the terrorists attacking israel can't be called muslim terrorists.. I'd like to comment on that speech too. I agreed with a lot of it, but I also believe that while actively shutting down funding, attacking cells, etc..is essential, so is destroying the underlying motivation that drives terror activity from the ME (ie, for israel considering giving up the west bank as well and for the entire area-which includes more than just syria, lebanon and iran- delivering true democracy thru active support for liberals there or force if need be). The speaker was obviously on point about the horrors of terror, but fails to acknowledge the root of the anger. i dont think that money hunger can drive whats going on. It's anger that the ME is/was being exploited by the West as well as their own leaders. There is no denying this. It does not justify killing civilians, but it must be the source (fair dealing and removal of corrupt leaders) that is remedied, not just the symptoms. My 2 cents anyway...
