  1. its a great party. smaller and more refined then the show party. still great and first class all the way. dj sets are toned down a bit with a more deep house/tribal sound. phat mike and the crew are all still there. it goes to 6am. its the perfect party in a beautiful club for folks who dont like the fri/sat crowds. we go often and always have a great time. def check it out. gets crowded at about 1 am.
  2. i agree, exactas set was on point as he always is. so glad for brian that he is playing the rooms he deserves to be in. hes come a long way. dave g? dont get it. way to commercial. not for me. was very crowded. also did ya here they towed a lot of cars from people at cielo. my buddy was towed. said the west side impound lot was packed at 4am. city made a lot of money. remember folks, down in that area they tow no matter what. if the city needs cash your car is history. if driving put it in a lot. remeber behrouz 4/19 at cielo.
  3. Are They Open, Hours? Whis Spinnin? Also Plan B On Sundays, Any Good, I See Its Drum And Bass. Any Info On Either Appreciated. Thanx John.

  6. special and unique as show always is, left at 5, place was packed. first dj was amazing, anyone know his name. gonna miis it, hopw it opens again soon. sundays wont be the same. john.
  7. pure magic. 1;30 -6am. epic beautiful trance. last hour perfect. played a lot of the big hits. how refreshing of an act actually playing their hits and not some obscure crap nobody heard. they gave the crowd just what they wanted. one negative, pacha, what a pain, search after search and is it possible that the staff can smile and be nice. oh well. just wish made would stay at crobar. jason jollins??? i dont get it. just my thoughts. great night and cant wait to see them again. more trance in nyc would make the city nicer. peace, john.
  8. just buy ticks ahead of time never wait walk right in as long as you prebuy you will never have a problem its a great club def go back

  12. so true. i quit at 32. sober since and now at 47 still love to go out with friends of all ages. its all about the music and the feeling one gets on the dance floor during the right mix is something that is ageless and timeless. go to a psych trance party and you will see folks from 18-60 smiling and dancing. what this scene needs is less superficial bs and more passion for the music that can be enjoyed without the aid of drugs or drink. just my thoughts. peace.
  13. armin has remy opening up. no worries trance all night. also a made event. will go later.
  14. just go see behrouz at cielo from now on. his sets there are amazing and so diff from crobar. yes its sad, cro was once a great club, not anymore. wanna see someone ya like spin magical sets go to the smaller venues like cielo. seems as soon as they get in a big room they have to spin to loud, to fast and to much pots and pans. pacha is no diff. stimulus in the basement is 10 times better then who is upstairs. just my thoughts. i think gabe will agree.
  15. GREAT WEATHER AND SOUND, IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER THIS YEAR. GOOD CROWD. 1. david waxman, great opening set. i forget how good he can be when hes not in crobar. 2. junkie xl, good tunes and so into it as always. 3. benny b, great disco funk, solid set. 4. soul, intersesting and fun. great bass player and drummer. 5. moby, 5 stars, felt like it was 1995 again. guy needs to play out more. 6. diggers, to dark for my taste. also moby should have closed. not a set to close with. great skills though. like him circa 2000. 7. boris, ??????????, just dont get it.
  16. thats exactly it, also once that girl was killed this summer and was underage, everything changed. the lawsuits that will come from these incidents will only make the crackdown worse. get use to it, this is how its gonna be. got stopped at a dwi on 29th st and the cop said this is just the beginning. he said its simple party nice, dont break the law and you will be left alone. also heard this 3am closing is a real possibility. we shall see. be safe.
  17. i see there at cielo on 7/27. cab anyone describe there style or sound for me? are they similar? thanx so much john.
  18. cant put it in words. oh yes i can perfect. right gabe? couldnt of been better.

  20. Wanna Here Some Great Tribal? Check Out Paulo Tonight At Avalon. Of All The Events Going On Tonight This Should Be The Least Crowded. Starts Around 9pm. Rare Opportunity To See Him In Nyc. See Ya There, John,
  21. your welcome, didnt know that was you on the decks. was outside and in the back. talking to some othere folks that were there also stated that your set was right on. that hardest part of a djs job is to blend and remember where they are on the schedule to make all the transitions smooth. keep up the good work, john. good friend of vit dee.
  22. 1. where was gabe, said he was gonna come, oh well. 2. opening dj, kinda liked him, little house and a dash of trance at times, wasnt as bad as you are saying. 3. ferry was first rate. long time since i heard such a sweet set of trance in nyc. he was 10 times better then he was at crobar for his residency. lots of vocals just the way i like it. 4. peter baily?, who thought he would be a good closer for ferry? went from packed to empty in 10 mins. playing dark minimal tribal/house after 2 sweet hours of full all out trance and electro. not a fan of peters, less now. 5. as far as the crowd goes. who cares. the spirit was positive, people were friendly and enjoying the great music in all sorts of ways. trance = glow sticks thats the way it goes. another great cielo show, 6/29 behrouz, extended set, gonna be sweet. see ya all there. john.
  23. we will be there tomorrow. any idea who all the djs playing going to be. says ferry is doing just a short set? gonna be great!!!
