  1. Home watching movies.
  2. Well, they all had about a 3-5 year window to make money, and that's the business mission for nightclubs. Even the clubs that we think are "dead" are still making money. Casinos will not keep a club open if it is losing money. I want to Club Rio about a month ago, around 3am..............WEAK. I can't believe it was the first nightclub I ever stepped foot in some 5 years ago.
  3. Thanks. Good to see people on this board know who is legitimate. I'm not on here to make $ off of people, just to trade info. And if people want a friendly favor for getting into clubs, it's best to go with people who actually work at the venues. Like I said, Tao = la-late, BE = me.
  4. I can't believe how much a few years affected Club Rio. It's really hurting. How about Bikinis? I haven't been there in 2 years. I hear nothing about that place either.
  5. On NYE, an indpendant host will not get people in clubs on NYE any faster than that person can get in himself/herself.
  6. If you need help with Tao, PM la-late...if you need help with Body English, PM me. We are both more connected with those clubs than anyone else on the board.
  7. Light will take their event because Body English doesn't need that type of promo on Sundays. lol
  8. Here's a nice itinerary: Thursday: Tao Friday: Pure Saturday: Body English You can say you hit the "Big 3" all in one weekend!
  9. MGM is still a great property to stay at. I didn't list it because it's slightly more expensive than the others on that list.
  10. If your friends are gonna be cheap that night, then basically have a nice dinner somewhere on the strip, then go for drinks at one of the bars/lounges inside the casinos. At midnight, either be sitting at the bar and there will be plenty of people hanging out there...or go out to the strip and check out the fireworks. I've done that before, and it is fun. The whole "nightclub on NYE" thing sounds exciting, but it is a regular club night, just with more confusion going on. You can't go wrong as long as you are with your friends and loved ones on NYE.
  11. That's all fine and good...but I still stick by my guns about how NYE is run out here, specifically at Body English. I think most independant hosts are leeches, and I have my reasons not to like them; at the same token, I am cool with quite a few of them as well. I pretty much know how their business runs, and I know it's a hustle like everything else in this town, but there are certain things that I do not appreciate that they do.
  12. You will have no problems getting in with 2 girls...it actually will get you in faster (if there was a line). Local IDs get everyone in free that night, too. No one goes to Tabu on Sundays...their bar staff comes to BE and gets a table every Sunday. And pretty much everyone who used to go to Light comes to BE on Sundays. Come around 11:30 and you will be golden.
  13. House music is at Ice in one of their rooms...Saturday night. For afterhours, Drais plays house every night. This town caters to mainstream hiphop and r&b. House is pretty much dead out here.
  14. For affordability, cleanliness, and fun, I suggest the following: 1) The Luxor 2) New York-New York 3) Aladdin 4) Excalibur 5) Paris 6) Bally's
  15. Light gets NO shine anymore. If you want a party on Sunday nights, go to Body English.
  16. Vegas clubs shouldn't be imitating NY clubs anyways. It pains me to think of how much I miss the clubs back in NYC. Vegas clubs are busy to me, that's about it.
  17. Sorry, dogg. I see you're from Queens...I give you mad respect. I just had to put the reality out there for everyone about NYE in Vegas. Independant hosts to me are like snakes...a necessary evil in Vegas, doing harm and also doing good at the same time. I'm cool with a few out here, and others I would like to spit on.
  18. Well my whole thing is that on NYE a person needs to buy a ticket to the event, and an independant host offers nothing but possibly a "fee" on top of the ticket they might help a patron get. On any other regular night, then yes, I see advantages of independant hosts for out of towners who want to get in clubs without waiting long in line. Please understand that I know how Body English ran last NYE. There was no crazy line. Studio 54 is utterly ridiculous, and it doesn't surprise me that there was complete chaos there. From what I HEARD, last year on NYE at Rain, if you had a prepaid ticket you walked right in. The other lines were for the people who came in off the street. Body English went strictly off of tickets. In fact, the hosts had a master list of everyone who had bought a ticket...in alphabetical order! Maybe not necessary, but it was a tightly run venue. My point is that if someone wants to go out on NYE, call the casinos and see where they need to go to purchase tickets. That way there is no extra tax being lumped on top by an outside influence.
  19. That's called "piss poor" advertising if Vegas locals don't even know which nights and which TIMES the lounge is open. It shouldn't be that big of a mystery.
  20. Capo

    Vegas Suites

The Penthouse Suite @ The Hard Rock. I think it's like $20K the first night, and $10K each additional night. There is a bowling lane in there, a bar, etc., etc.
  21. I consider it poetic justice; after all the years of the bouncers being assholes to the general public waiting hours in line, they now can barely bring a decent crowd. I can't wait until Pure suffers the same painful death.
  22. I used to love Oba Lounge for afterhours, for a lot of the same reasons. But it got closed down for a long time...it has finally reopened, but I don't hear ANYBODY talk about it. I couldn't tell you which nights are afterhours and which nights are regular club hours for the ultralounge.
  23. Big ups to those guys for being the best DJs I've ever heard in Vegas.
