  1. Hey yall! I'm new to the forums. I go to school in VA but live in NJ and I am taking my girl out for her 19th birthday this friday. I want to take her to a club in the city that has hip hop and house music. I want something really big with LOTS and LOTS of dancing and something that's very popular. Can you give me any suggestions? We went to Spirit over T-giving break and REALLY didn't like it...mostly because you have to be 21 to get into the hip hop room. To give you a feel for some of the clubs we like (in NJ) - joey harrison's surf club, temptations, bamboo, and abyss. Any suggestions? THANKS!!! We're looking for a club in the city to go to, unless there is something just completely outrageous in jersey.

Hey, Try Webster Hall, you want house they got it, you want hip-hop they got it, you want 70's and 80's they got it and just about any other type of music................. I'm sure you will get other suggestions.

  3. Hmmm, maybe my friends & i will. whats ur name, u gonna be at the door the whole day? i dunno when we'll stop by but i kknow that it gets hella crowded, quick. Last time we waited an hour in line for black bear.

cynstam21: lol, bring st pattys day to the hicks...drink up.

what are some of best bars to check out after the parade? And which ones offer the best corned beef and cabbage!!!!

  4. I dont get it, why would you want to walk around a club carrying your jacket all night? Is $2 really going to hurt your pocket? If thats they case, leave your jacket in the car.

My god, youre are such a baby. Also, $15 to pay at the door, is a standard cover price for a club in Jersey. It doesnt sound like you know anything about clubs.

You also said something about management being behind the bar. They are taking $$ out of registers. If you knew anything about clubs or have spent time in them. There is no possible way you can keep all the $$ you ring in the register for the whole night. ONLY if its not busy, then i would say you can. Its standard procedure. lol Its really common sense.

I dont work at Studio 9. The reason I am telling you that, is because you actually think anyone that is giving their opinion has to be working for the club. lol

You really have problems. There are allot of people that love the place. They are not going to post anything to you cause what you say is just plain stupid.

I have been going to Studio 9 since the place opened up, and all of my girlfriends love it. They have improved allot of things since the grand opening. We like it allot. Just as much as other clubs.

Seriously bro, if you dont like the place thats too bad for you.

You said your peace, GET OVER IT ALREADY! lol

Obviously, its YOU that is the AMATEUR that is talking all this nonsense in every post.

You really are taking up space in CLUBPlanet. Im just sick of hearing the same thing over and over again from you.

You need some love in ya hun. Its so funny how you can have so much hate and anger over a club for god sakes. No one made you go there.

You did, you didnt like it, you said your peace, now just move on with your life and post something else.

I dont post much on this site. I just joined it last year, but I have been reading and entertaining myself on this site for many many years now. I just love the drama that goes on here. But what you have to say is just plain annoying, and I had to post something.

Take care, enjoy your week. :)

May I buy you drink if you go this Friday?

    :pint:

  5. i'am sorry about the bartenders, as management concern they are only changing our money, they are not taking bartenders tips.. we are not amateurs, and not hurting for money.. trust me!!! come to the vip room and see me!!! i'am sorry u had a bad time.

Not for nothing, but I think 5 dollars for a coors lights is a bit to much, but it won't stop me from going back though. Maybe you can run some drink specials through out the night.

  6. Anyone have anything to say?

    :bounce:

I thought the party last night at Abyss was pretty good. The food they provided was awesome and free grey goose drinks(at least I think thats what it was that the guy was serving by the DJ booth) till 11. The music was good, Some of us thought Kirk would play some old skool house, but maybe they were told not to. All in all, on a scale of 1-10 I give it an 8. I have seen better crowds over the years before they turned 18 and over and before Sayerville turned to a 2:00AM closing time. But I congratulate Abyss again on 14 yrs of success, and wish them another 14 more. I like the way they remodeled the downstairs.

Also, Did anyone receive an Anniversary CD?

  7. wow,lol.....

bro i go way back..... i been sneaking into clubs when i was under age man,lol...

    going on 27 in march

come out to deko for my bday bash

    march 12 with dj boris

Yeah, sounds cool. Don't laugh when I tell you my age, but I'm now 34, but still willing to party man. And this event don't want to miss for anything, if I was married I would tell my wife going out baby!!! Know anyone that went to the Roxy this past Friday? They had some 1018 party that looked awesome, but didn't want to spend 30 dollars.

  8. how big was that song!......anything u guys wanna hear, just post it

  11. This Wednesday February 23rd @ CLUB ABYSS

Over a Decade in the New Jersey Club Scene.

The Anniversary Event "as we thank you for making it possible" !

For list, comps or bottle service call Victor Soto @ 973-941-3515

Happy Anniversary Club Abyss, I stopped going as a regular around 2000/2001, but I loved Club Abyss from 1992 til then, saw some of the best acts, heard some of the hottest DJ's Denny, Frankie V, Kirk Lopez, Unique in the Vibe Lounge etc. I recall one year when Abyss management tried a rock club downstairs, but didn't last very long. Pretty cool though.

I'll be coming down this Wed to relive the memories. The worst thing of all is when Sayerville changed to a 2:00AM closing time, I know that really sucked. But Club Abyss still going strong and Congrats once again. Hope Denny comes down and does a set. The good ol times on friday nites after the male revue. Hope to hear some old skool house Time for the Perculator, Girl I'll house you, work it to the bone, The Train song, and the list goes on and on and on.

PS Will the main dance floor be open for this event?

    Peace............ :pint::bounce:

  12. i think it is def. on life support

like you said except for a few places on certain nites it really is

and i think it has been since the good old days of abyss fri nites/hunkabunka fri/sat nites back in the day

bunka on a fri/sat nite back in the day . . .AHH the good memories

really hot chicks everywhere with good attitudes and great music

i used to get there 10pm sharp/place was dead no line sit at the bar drink my face off till 11:30, place was packed by then and then dance till the place closed (and i cant dance, but the music was so good you kinda felt like you had too, plus i was bombed so i didnt care and usually picked up a group of hot chicks to dance with on the floor cause thats how it was in that place) with the exceptional bathroom break, always used the little one in the back that never had a line . . .

i remember standing in line and the guy in front of me was wearing a shirt with no collar and the door guy wouldnt let him in he was like yea but it is "add you fav designer here" and the door man was like i dont care go up the road to wal-mart and buy something with a collar . . .LOL

sorry for the "good ole days" story

    Slim007

I couldn't agree with you more, did the same thing back in the Hunka Bunka days, bathroom in the back and getting to the club early. I loved the good ol Aybss days when Denny was the DJ etc. I see Aybss is having Their Anniversary party Feb 23rd, They should have Denny as one of the DJ's that night. What about Sundgarden on Saturday nights, don't they still play manily house music/dance? :pint:

  13. PM sexxybabyd...she is part of the stage crew, she should be able to help

    you out

    have fun...wish I could make it :(

Thanks for the info, I will email this person. Should I let her know you gave me her info?

Yeah should be a fun night, Glenn Friscia is going to be the DJ. A number of great acts they have lined up. :)

  14. Anyone running any type of guest list for Friday night Feb 18th at the Roxy. Tixs are 30 dollars in advance, This should be a great party, bringing back memories of 1018 etc. but 30 plus drinking all night, going to be an expensive night.

    :pint:

  15. Andrew I thought you were awesome the time you spent on the 1s and 2s last night, I was upset when the hip hop DJ came on, that is what I thought the second room was for. I don't blame for not wanting to DJ at Studio 9 on a Friday night.

I'm a house music lover and will always be one. I don't go to clubs for the Hip-hop.

    Take care.
