  1. go to pvd first.. you're goin to have a tough time getting in if you try to stop by at like.. 2,3
  2. I'm serious though. I'm not a promoter. But the last couple of trance events I've been to included armin a couple times, ferry, pvd a couple times, and nu nrg/markus. After the last armin, i got kind of tired of hearing him. And believe me.. he's one of my favs. But it was all too much of a the same thing. Alot of my friends who've been goin to trance events for a while went crazy when they heard CG and scott project were comin to town. It's a welcome change... btw, it wasn't my first post ...

    we own mariano

First off "we" don't own anyone. The red sox do(I admit it, I'm a yanks fan) Second, just a quick note on the cutter, it's not that it's slower that makes it effective... it moves in towards lefties and away from righties. It looks just like a straight fastball until it gets about halfway to home plate. People swing at it thinking it's a fastball, and then the ball moves in(towards a lefty) and the bat makes contact near the handle. The red sox see the Yankees so much that they know what's coming and compensate to hit it.
  4. PVD ain't worth 40/50 bucks.... to all who go, I hope he puts some energy into his set. He was nice on NYE, but other than that... subpar in my opinion.
  5. I just don't know how people can go all night in dress shoes... So I'm looking for some comfortable black shoes that I can stay in all night and dance in... normal black dress shoes just don't get it done.
  6. Not ready to devote myself to WH, but that's a good point..
  7. is it going to be like that for WH parties.. specifically the ones w/ the guest DJs? Tix = line privelges and sneakers?
  8. The only events I get tix for are trance events and FROM WHAT I'VE EXPERIENCED, you can get in wearing pretty much whatever you want... sneakers... tshirts... anything with a ticket. And at WH the other night, I walked up and took my place at the very end of the line that made its way around the block... until I found out that ticket holders got to walk right in. VERY convenient and cheaper than the door price..
  9. well then someone should've called your ass up and told u to come down... i mean i give him credit for at least going up there and making an ass out of himself... but there was REALLY no need for him to be up there. I mean you have chicks up there w/ hardly any clothes on shakin their shit... then you have this skinny kid in a black tshirt waving glow sticks around....
  10. Oh yeah, question, who was that skinny little white kid w/ the glowsticks that was on stage w/ the dancers? He made an ass out of himself........dropping his glowsticks and shit... n00b
  11. I thought the lighting was off the hook. Great job on that. Lots of bars all over the place....i dind't have a problem w/ the music quality either. Good shit... Only thing I'd have to say is DO SOMETHING WITH THE LOBBY. looks like something from the adam's family...
  12. WOW. First off, props to Viscious Vic and Richie Neale for tearing up their openers. The highlight for me of the 2 was BLUE FEAR. First off, I've never been to Webster hall. I heard all sorts of horrible things about it... grimey... weird crowd... and maybe that is true to some extent(especially when you first walk in) But I think the main ballroom was pretty decent. Not enough places to sit(at first I thought that the booths on the left side were VIP b/c there were so few chairs for such a large focking room. i was pleasantly suprised by the lasers and the lights and all that good stuff. Then cosmic gate came on. Ok, so I haven't beeen goin out to trance clubs for that long(2 year anniversary of my first time, at arc, is this summer)... But let me tell you, HANDS down, this is the best set I've ever heard dropped by anyone. Better than Armin in December, which I regard as the standard. Until last night / this morning. CG dropped a ton of their classics... Punkie...it was just non stop with all the great great tracks being dropped. Then, at the end, CG allowed people to go up and they signed whatever people brought up there. They were giving out some CDs(not sure what they were) and CG signed those too... Overall, the quality of the night and my supplements were both INCREDIBLE. It was nonstop dancing from everyone for 7 hours. It wasn't crowded, as i predicted... partly b/c webster hall is trying to rebuild itself(literally )... and Sasha/digweed at crobar. tons of room to dance the whole night and it cleared out around 4. Anyone know this guy on CP:stevemorales76(it's definetly steve, but the last name, i'm not sure of... if you're around, holla... My overall score for the night: 15/10
  13. it's 18 now? On all the fliers it says 19/21...
  14. Picking up my tix tommorow.. I just hope this isn't some cruel April Fool's joke.. I heard that they redid Webster Hall too.. I've never been there, but have heard horrible things about it. Hopefully my experience will be better.
  15. I'd be freaked out if I was a DJ and had people glaring at me like that..
  16. I forget... i blacked out a few times.. lol
  17. Night started off nicely... Perry was rippin it... dance floor started to fill up... then armin came on. He was in the upstairs DJ booth as opposed to the low one in the front of the dance floor... I liked it better in the past when he would be right in the front b/c I felt I could connect to him better and you could see him going buckwild, etc... started off nicely for the first 2 hours or so... then I think he fell apart somewhere ... I mean, the songs were still good, but it was just heavy bass... and that's all I could really hear.. I got bored of it. I think people felt the same as I did, as the dance floor started emptying out around 3:00 or so... anyways, looking forward to CG!
  18. Its not our fault man ... we don't have a problem w/ the place being mostly white... don't get all worked up about a couple pockets of asian kids.
  19. Don't worry Ronin... you're going to have a great time. The last 2 times, Armin has been pretty damn good.. and since this is his CD release party(I believe), I think that gives him incentive to drop an extra sick set.
  20. I admit, I don't make it out to Spirit much ... only for the Made Events. I would def love to go more if there was a good resident though... The thing about Spirit though.. I went to Armin a few months ago, and the system was INSANE. Then I went for Nu-Nrg and Markus and it really wasn't that impressive... So, on normal nights, is the system usually bumpin? I'd prefer not to be able to hear when I leave.
  21. that shit is scary.... if you do it, please stop
  22. First post... Kim's right.. .overall the night was a blast, markus and nu-nrg and JJ threw it down... But the second time Markus came on, I just coudln't get into it... everything sounded the same -- just the same beat over and over.. it didn't get heavy at any point, and it didn't get any lighter. Oh well, good night overall. BTW, nu-nrg...
