wallflour
It was a fantastic night, at least for this first time S&D attendeeI think the best thing about it was how quickly the line moved, at least early onI got there at 10:45 pm and the line was 2/3 the way down 43 St, but I was in the door in what felt like less than 10 minutes. It was good that they did the wristbands for booze while people waited in line, but maybe that's only possible when it's "all ages" and pretty much anyone can get in.The only places that seemed packed like sardines was the area near the floor and the hallway for the coat check. In the other parts of the club, there was room to move around.Too bad it couldn't go longer. They started at 12:30 am (after Jimmy Van M opened) and stopped at 5:30 am, at which time the floor was still packed

jimk29
What a sick night... aside from the fact that the crowd sucked ass. Jimm Van M was great, Digweed was alright, Sasha was amazing, but the highlight of the night had to be when my girlfriend and myself got to meet Sasha!! She was so excited, as was I, to meet the man that we have been following for years at Twilo. That was my first World experience, and let me tell you this; I have no idea why anyone goes there, unless of course Sasha is spinning there. I have never seen more trash in one club in my life.Thank you Sasha for that ethereal set...

Their tour has been really hectic, but I have heard rumors that they will be comming back to exit to play a full 10hr set for their NY fans in the near future. BKDJ
Put it this way... S&D's 5 hour set did more to me then other top dj's 10hr sets do.... quality over quantity, but they do it both :-)LuVRaZ

misskittie
Sasha and Digweed never disappoint me. NEVER! The music was simply amazing last night. I wish they would have gone on longer but that whole "had to be in DC by noon" jibber jabber is bull. We had gotten word they were going to spin over at Filter 14. All of us messed jumped right in the cab and headed over. It didnt happen because they couldnt get in touch with the guy who had the keys. Oh well, shit happens.Anyhow, I have no complaints about the crowd what so ever. I met some awesome people last night from all around. Im just disappointed I cant be at Buzz tonight. They had to break down all the sound and lighting equiptment and get all the stage hands and people involved to D.C. in time for the next show. I didn't mean to say that S+D had to be in D.C. by 12:30 but the rest of the tour had to. Hence the music stops at 5:30. That really sucks the guy couldn't find the keys to Filter:confused:
kurtisp
Yes it does suck, but I'm glad it didn't happen because I would have missed it!Originally posted by jamesvincent Not really. misskittie
Well I can see what you mean about them having to take all the props down but that doesnt mean S&D couldnt have headed over to Filter to spin for a few extra hours. Their crew didnt need to be there...just them and their records. No biggie though. Im happy with what I got and can go a few months again before I see them again somewhere. I saw them at Cirprianis in November, Sasha at Giant over NYE and now got a taste of themback here in NYC. What else could a gal ask for?!?~kAt~
