Harold and Kumar Goes to White Castle , it's the first movie to ever put asian guys in a positive light. it actually turns the tables on race in american movies. harold and kumar are real, likable guys you'd like to toke upt with, while every white person was some sort of charactertype, mainly racist assholes, or a jeff foxworthy joke gone bad. these guys represent real asian-americans, be it east asian, south asian, or souteast asians. meaning, we like to smoke up, we know how to get girls, and we like to party, does that sound familiar??? as an indian guy, it was nice to finally see an desi on screen that didn't have an accent and wasn't behind the counter of a 7-11. before kumar, the only cool desi rep was apu from the simpsons. it's about time that we're on screen without the accents. as for the asians in the club, who fucking cares. i have met some of them, and believe it or not, they're pretty cool people. but then again, anybody who loves sasha and digweed, PVD, and other great DJ's is cool to begin with. after all, isn't that's why we go to the club. to dance our minds off to incredible music. not to mention, this is NEW YORK CITY. we're a diverse city, which is why we're the best city in the world. if you want to get away from the asians and be surrounded by whites, then go to bumblefuck, missouri. i'm sure tenanglia and sander k will be coming out there sometime soon. i am personally more scared of the gotti wannabe juicers, then any triad member. make eye contact with a juicer's girl, he'll get roid rage and attack you. triads only go for people they have beef with. i don't mess with them, they don't mess with. this is why have been a raver/clubber for so long. i never fit in with the indians, never really enjoyed desi parties because they mainly play hip hop and indian music which i don't like. not to mention the people tend to be stuck up. never into the frat scene, because it was too suburban. found the rave/clubbing scene, where everybody was accepted no matter what. just as long as you're into the music and you can dance, nothing else matters. i have always found trance to be a unifying force. it's only in the clubs do i ever meet people such diversity. people of different races, different socio-economic status, different personalities, etc. so if you're going to complain about too many asians, or people of any other race or whatever, then maybe this scene is not for you.

What the hell are you guys talking about??!?!?!! Danny Howells by far attracts the best crowds. especially during the days of Vinyl/Arc. speaking of danny, how was he at spirit???

i was there on friday night, and i was thinking the same thing too, they should have a residency at crobar. it was twilo all over. especially around 5-6 o'clock, when the "scenesters" left and there was room to dance. the only down side to a sasha and digweed residency is the $50 cover($40 pre-paid), i don't think sasha and digweed want to charge so much, even though it's worth every penny. before you know it, it'll be $70 to get in. not to mention, both guys seem to want to bring exposure to other DJ's. but friday night(or saturday morning???) was something to remember. loved how they took tracks off their northern exposure cd's and made them into something totally new and different.

and what is wrong with that?????

i'm flying out to LA on the weekend of the 25th, anybody spinning around that time????

it's nobody's fault, but the owners for losing money. they're in this mess by their own doing. nobody put a gun to their heads and told them to sign overrated players to $10 million/year contracts. you can't blame a player for signing with the team that offers the best contract, that's just simple economics. a player can't make $10 million, if nobody offers them the contract. look when you have the rangers with a $80 billion payroll missing the playoffs for the past 8 years, while the devils win 3 cups in 9 years on a modest budget, then you really can't cry for the owners.

of course sasha is going to take you to another level, like he always does. i just read in URB that he changed his style of DJing, so that every set he does is different. it's going to be awsome

don't knock on black clothes. you can't have too much black, however i do agree that you should have other colors to mix it up. personally, i can't have my top and bottom be the same color. for some reason, it freaks me out. as well as having your top and bottom be from the same brand. that too freaks me out. call me weird, but that's how i feel.

the best athlete in 2004 is vincent lecavalier, the guy was just awsome for the lightning and team canada. to play that good for two of the most intense competions can't be matched.

I read somewhere, that Oakenfold will be spinning in LA on Dec. 4. However, Paul Oakenfold.Org doesn't list LA as one the cities he'll be spinning at. So does anybody out in LA know if there is any truth to him spinning on the 4th in LA?

because of arc, i thought post-twilo nyc still had a true clublife, and now that's gone. i hope danny howells still comes back to the city and spins his shit again. :( :( :boohoo:
