i love girls with british accents, maybe it's an american fetish, but i just find it so damn sexy. the same goes with french accents. i'd still go far girl that's not as good looking, but have a good accent. on the otherhand, nothing is worse than either a southern accent or an indian accent. man i can't stand indian accents, i feel like i'm talking to apu from the simpsons. especially those indians that come right out of the villages, it's like they're not even speaking english. i hate to be mean about my people, but it's true.

i work at a starbucks(lol), while i decide what to do next now that i finished college. i realize i hate work and want to go back to college, so i might end up doing a PhD and become a college professor or be a geographer.

are you guys suprise that danny boy would fu*k your minds into insanity with his incredible tracks, again? i was not there last night, but have seen danny spin at arc numerous times, and every time i was amazed by him spinning. hell, i don't know why i clicked on this thread, because i knew everybody was going to say he was great, and that you all had the time of your lives. of course you did, danny would never settle for anything less. i hopfully i'll be there next month, because it has been quite a long time since i had my mind fu*ked by danny. it's amazing to realize that this former psychiatric nurse in england can be such an amazing performer. thank God for digweed who opened the door for danny.

the organization, Reporters Without Borders, recently published the first press freedom index for countries. RSF ranked the us at 17, beating countries like the uk and japan. finland was given the highest ranking, while north korea was given the worst. canada came in 5th, the highest ranking non-european country. these rankings breaks a lot of the perception about the media world we have. for example israel, which self proclaims it is the "only democracy in the middle east", gets ranked at 92. following behind lebannon, the PA, bahrain, kuwait, and morrocco. however none of the arab states broke the top 50, lebannon came close at 56. not all EU countries did good, italy is ranked at 40, that's not even the 75th percentile. prime minister silvio berlusconi has been seriously undermining the media diversity, by sending in his henchmen to run the state owned television stations. african states are spread out through the rankings. this is suprising because the only attention the continent recieves from western media is unfairly negative. while there are countries like zimbabwe and the democratic republic of the congo that got poor rankings. however the tiny country of benin is tied with the uk for 21st, and south africa is at 26. while senegal, mali, and niger have all recieved relativley good marks, dismissing the myth that islam and free press cannot co-exsist. now these rankings should not be thrown around as if they were weapons, especially by conservatives. after all it is a sad state affairs for americans to be content with having more freedoms than nigerians. as american we need to progress the media to be as diverse and free as the slovenians(14) or the costa ricans(15).

well this is the same "puppet" govt' that the us gave weapons to in the 1980's, and we didn't see them as "pathological liars", especially since we knew what the weapons were going to be used for. that is why the us was happy that the iraqis didn't reveal what companies they were doing business with, when they released their report.

well being hindu, let me give you some insight about hindu-muslim relations. for the most part, WE GET ALONG VERY WELL. hindu-muslim tensions have more to do with politics, than with religion. indian and pakistani politicians exploit communal divisions for their own gain. because of that, things can get seriously ugly, like the riots earlier this year. where hindu mobs massacred over 2,000 people, mainly muslims. even in the horrors of the violence there were hindus who risked their lives to protect their muslim neighbors. many people say the riots would never have happened, if there were no politicians. you go to the rural villages of india-where majority of the people still lives-you will see hindus and muslims living side by side. infact, there are some villages where hindus celebrate eid(a muslim holiday), and muslims celebrating diwali(the hindu new year). in kashmir, the conflict is a result of the british partitioning india and pakistan. islam came to kashmir over a 1,000 years ago through sufis(muslim mystics). sufis believed in a very tolerant form of islam, preaching one should love God instead of fearing it. as a result muslims meshed well with hindus. the islam practiced in kashmir had many hindu characteristics. unfortunatley india, pakistan, and the uk destroyed everything for their own political gain. well that's all for now. i hope you can consider the politics that are involved, because it plays an important role.
