We get there, hit the open bar, pod was up in the booth playing with the lasers... Though i'm still pissed at him, he was gonna try and spell my name in lasers, but it never happend:( Spin is cool...It doesn't pretend to be a space or crobar or level. Its spin and its a great club...Though I wish the lighting was more like a nyc club but non the less it was good. So we hit the bar, and we hit it hard!!!!!!!!So hard at like 1030 they wanted to toss my roomate craig. We smoothed things over with the bartender, someone had to remind him, i'm the saleen and if you want to toss him, you toss me..... Won't happen, i'm a former bouncer and an all around tough guy.. So fuck you to that bartender, when i tell you i'll take care of it, i mean i'll take care of it! Next time, you get a bitch smack! I meet all types of people last night..ps Biznation does not exsist... no sight of him or mention he was there. This is the funniest part about last night. I talk to dibs on the phone before hand. I've never meet here. So i'm guido fist pumping on the dance floor and she comes up to me, I"m like, "how did you know it was me" ? She sezs "its your gudio fist pumping..." < I am not lieing you can ask her.... Nice meeting you dibs, I had a blast hanging and guido fist pumping with you:D Andrew shows up, looked sober and acted sober, Andrew WTF was wrong with you...? You seemed out of it last night... So I bump into Roland, we talk for a while, then he introduces to the the myth, the legend, the man, Spacious! Louis, nice meeting you. Great talking to you, but you need to work on your guido fist pumping, you are lacking... But I had a great time none the less. Then I meet my man!!!!!Who was this man? Well mikedny agreed with me when I said this last night at my house...My fav djs right now:1. picotto2. deepdish3. oscar motherfucking G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wow he is that good!!! Nice meeting you oscar.....Of course i bugged him to play dark beat all night...more on that later.Then i go up to our man edgar v. Nice meeting you, we talked and we worked out all our shit. He is a cool dude, very laided back... Well there is no secret that i'm trying to get some acts booked down here, so Roland introduces me to kris from space. Fellas, this is one tough broad! I worked her over for like an hour and she wouldn't budge.... It was nice meeting you.... You def do a good job over at space and i know this board appreciates you. Of course cooljunkie was in the house!!!! nice seeing you nick..So i wander around the club, looking for pigeons and chickheads to hit on... Make no progress, even though there were tons of hot chicks, and they weren't those stuck up sobe broads... So i come back to the bar and my roomates who i went to ECU with, introduce me to this film maker. Turns out he use to own a head shop in the town where me and thehog use to bounce. Sooo funny... ECU from 94-99 made vegas and sobe look tame... So I may do some porn movies...WOoooohooooo. j/k, i would do it, but porn could ruin your life... on to the competition:All 3 were very good. Real good, You can tell these guys have talent. Even roland commented on how good they are....The last dude, worked that motherfucker... He was dancing up in the booth and throwing down a sick progressive set. The first dude was good, real good, i didn't like his down tempo tracks, but his mixing was on point.. I was so drunk i cant' remember the second guy! But all 3 won and all 3 deserve to win... YOU FOCKERS MISS OUT. SPIN WAS JAMMED PACKED WITH PEOPLE!!! WALL TO WALL..... AFTER A BRIEF ANNOUCEMENT I SEE OSCAR TAKE THE DECKS... I'M LIKE I CANT LEAVE THE CLUB TILL HE PLAYS DARK BEAT FOR ME.... THROWS ON THIS HOUSE BEAT ALMOST TRIBAL IN NATURE AND BAM, I HEAR THE VOX FROM HIS TRACK!!!!!!!!I WENT FUCKING NUTS... HE HAD THE ROOM MOVING AND SHAKING!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT TO TAKE ANY THING AWAY FROM THE 3 COOLJUNKIE WINNERS, BUT OSCAR IS JUST WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY A HEAD OF THOSE GUYS... FROM THE MOMENT HE STEPPED ON THE DECKS HE SET THE TONE!!!!!!! THE VIBE WAS SICK! BRO ALL I WANTED WAS 3 MORE BEERS, SO I SPENT 50 BUCKS ON 3 DRINKS:mad: NOT COOL!overall it was such a great night, nice meeting everyone...word on the street is that picotto is comming back early november... i can't wait..we get home and mikdny comes over to smoke a bomb with me and thehog, so we hit it up and mike asks me where craig is... i say go look in the car... craig passed out in the car till 5am or so.... they were knocking on the windows and yelling at him. soooooooooooo funny......This definitly ranks up there with one of the best clubbing nights i've had since i move here...biznation does not exsist!!!!!! still never meet him...and a side note, you space people last night should be happy i didn't let you have it for the essay scandal... But if i had to vote, I'd say the last guy, he was dancing up in the booth and had a great sick.. he dropped one of my fav tracks that no djs play!!!!!!!Amercian poem...... < great track.....any how, who ever reads this, somone last night dropped a sick female vox track.... same vocalist as in this trackbrother brown ft frankee - under the water (deep dish underpressure mix).mp3simular tracks and i think its the same chick that sings it... thanks for any help on the id...and roland you are right underworld is a sick sick track.. Great setup, nice size room... Sound system is pretty good, actually it bangs....The acoustics up stairs suck big time... too bassy with no vocals comming threw... Now the lights need to be torn down and redone.. Yea the laser was phat, but for me, lights off, lasers on would of been awesome.. but the club lacks a serious set of lights... its soooooooooo bright in there, i think i got a sun tan, don't get me wrong it is still miles ahead of liquid.... the symbol on the booth needs to go, the vip sections are cool, but are too bright.... they almost got it "right"... its just missing something... not sure what? the video screens aren't my cup of tea, but they fit well with the club.... i had a blast, but i couldn't get into that nyc feeling you get, where you are on the dance floor with a million poeple, yet you are in your own world, i'm not talking drugs, i don't do them, i'm just saying when you are in your groove and your mind is clear of thought and your problems from the week all dissapear... Yea the size of the club may have something to do with it, but i think its all about the lights... i asked my roomate what he thought, and the first thing he said was, "its too bright"just my 2 cents...ps i know pod will repsond to this, he can neverr hold back on a thread about club lighting.. Normally, Oscar doesn't play there, so the lighting is not set up for his style really. Very down tempo beats, very soulful and smooth... Beautiful is a great way to describe it... I met his brother last night, thank god he won, his brother is a giant!!!!!! he was the dude all jacked up with the black t shirt on taking pics... told me the only gig his brother ever played was in his parents garage. congrads to him.... pod remember i told you to tell him to crank the volume up and you said you can't cause that would be cheating, well five minutes later he cranked it up and i now see his brillance in his set... nicely done Michael Louis!, congrads... I though it was perfect to start with though he built it up for the faster shit. That was my fist time a Spin and I thought it was a great place. Like Saleen said the light are 2 bright. Wish we could have stayed longer but at like 1:00 Saleen is one one side of me talking to Loius and our roomate is throwning chunks under his bar.PS.
